Just made my complain to sgp, they offer me a 25% discount for my next purchase of glas as i couldn't get a replacement from them cause i bought mine from ebay. Can't complain for the 25% discount. I'm actually considering to get the ultra class over the glas't due to the "one shot only" application and the area that i live is a "dust poluted" place lol.

I have used the Glas.t and when it goes on well it is great. But, I am more than a little OCD and the tiny dust that got caught under it bothered me too much. I have switched to the Ultimate Class and I am very happy with it. I was able to pull up the ends and use tape to get the dust. It works much better for me. I have a Glas.t to use but I am afraid that it would go on badly again. The Ultimate Class is very nice and fairly thick but not too thick. I like it better.

I prefer the Glas.t. But this is why I switched to the Ultimate. Even after running the shower I still had a few tiny dust specks with the Glas.t and no way to remove them. My OCD problem - my normal friends would not notice the specks.

lol will it damage the screen when it cracks?

The adhesive on the back keeps it from jacking Ur screen up. The Glas.t shatters instead of your screen, it takes the impact. That is how it is supposed to work.

I ordered mine through Amazon and no bubbles at all. I am very happy with my purchase.

For people who has big bubble around the edge of the screen, this may due to the fact that the glass was placed a little bit on top of the plastic edge of the phone therefore lifting up the glass and produce the bubble.

I am currently using this glas.t with SGP linear crystal (satin silver) case, it looks amazing and clean.

So should I hold off from buying one? I love their regular screen protectors and this looks great but people seem to be saying there are problems with it after a month of use. Any personal thoughts if I should hold off or get it?

I'd hold off. It is obvious they are having manufacturing issues. It seems that people are requesting warranty replacements more than they anticipated. Customer service is trying to frighten off as many as they can.

Until they fix the issues don't give them your money. Because of u get a replacement and it has issues you'll have to deal with their customer service, and it is not a good experience.

i got mine on April 23rd, it has looked flawless. there are VERY small thin pieces that look to not adhere correctly, but that may be b/c of the install. i didn't wear gloves. next time, i will. as long as my case is on (fake Vapor Comp), i hope it does not expand and peel up. i don't see how it would be able to since the glass is flush w/ my case. i would ASSume that most of the issues are with people running their phones "naked" with the Glas.t

Mine isn't lifting. Tiny Bubbles formed about a half inch in at each corner on the top. Then the bubble expanded outward. It NEVERreached the edges. Nothing lifted.

U can use this without a case. Actually all the cases that work best don't even cover the bezel. Most cases Spigen sells For iPhone don't even cover the bezel and they recommend them for use with the glas.t. So what does that say? That says covering the bezel isn't required. In addition, most other cases that do cover the bezel don't allow enough clearance to over the thicker Glas.t.

They make the glas.t for iPad and people use all sorts of cases, sleeves, covers, or no protection at all other than a briefcase. R U saying they need to cover their bezel to protect the glas.t? Are there many cases that cover the iPad bezel?

Oh BTW you said that you received yours on 4/23. Report back in month or so the failure usually starts after a month or so. My install was flawless too in the beginning.

Same thing happened to me with a replacement. Mine has been on about a month too. I had a dust free install. Then a spot showed on the right upper corner Friday 4/20, then it turned into 3 spots by Friday afternoon, by Friday evening the entire right corner was engaged by That next Tuesday this is my phone. both top corners fully engaged. I emailed them yesterday. They responded requesting pix today.

Take a look here, it has an edge to it like it is coming up from the middle inside the spot and spreading out. Image

I'm also having this exact same issue. OCD freak so installed in bathroom after shower had been running to create steam, got it on perfect and for the last 2-3 months you couldn't even tell it was on the phone.

Kept phone in a TwelveSouth BookBook since installing the glas.t so no chance of any case edge lifting the protector.

The other day i noticed a small line in the left middle of the phone, but it hadn't reached the edge. This grew over a period of a few days and now looks like the attached pic. I've also got another two areas appearing on the right hand side.

As mentioned by Xultar, it looks like the adhesive is failing from the middle of the affected area, then spreading out, rather than from the edge failing inwards.

Contacting Spigen tomorrow to see what they say. Has anyone had any feedback from them about this issue already?

Regards

UPDATE: Well it looks like $28 down the pan as i didn't buy it through them or amazon, but another authorized reseller (even checked the legit code that comes with the pack), and the warranty does not apply!!! Annoying thing is i really love this protector, and want to get 1 for the new ipad as well. Oh well, just need to keep my eye on production changes....if any. Saying that, i notice that the delivery time on the spigen website for the glas.t is currently 2-3 weeks....changing manufacturing process maybe.

Sad, but I understand because I really liked the product as well, I actually liked a lot of their stuff.

They will not warranty anything purchased by an 'authorized' seller. I bet you dollars to donuts they are dumping the improperly manufactured stock on 'authorized' sellers and not warrantying it to make up losses.

Nothing good can come of this fiasco. They should just fess up and take responsibility. It will only help their business in the long run after an initial hit.

At this point, I consider all their product suspect and I wouldn't touch any of it with a 10 ft pole.

Has anybody tried getting these recently? Wondering if they made any recent manufacturing changes at all.

My screen protector had the bubbling issue, but after I sent the email to their ebay account they offered to send me a brand new one if I covered the shipping costs!

their ebay account was unitedsgpcorp I think, great customer service!

YOU paid shipping for their defective product? I sure hope not...

It has already been 3 months since I applied the protector, and it was already out of their warranty period. Also, I live pretty far away from the US, so I do expect to pay the low low price of shipping for 5 bucks.

Well worth it.

I put glas.t on my 4s when it was first available. Recently my keys chipped the side and within a few days it cracked. As PO'd as I am that the protector can be damaged so easily, I replaced it.

I have noticed that the coating on the new glass is better than I had so I assume it wears off within a year.

Still its very good protector.

I found that Caseswill also have this style screen protector for sale, $21 per unit. Who has ever used it?

Great find.

Wish they sold the ipad one cheap.

Well, I just put my replacement on 2 weeks ago. Why? Because I bought a Wrapsol while I was dealing with Spigen to obtain a replacement. I didn't want my screen scratched by my earrings while I was waiting.

Well, I look at my phone this morning...and guess what.

keep wasting $30 for a dollar piece of plastic lol

Have you read the thread at all?

It's not plastic. it is Glass. Second I hope you're not referring to me. The picture is of a warranty replacement. so I didn't spend any additional money.

Meh I just order and use their regular ultra crystal screen protectors. Had one on my iP4 for 2 years before it started showing minimal wear and even with that people don't believe I have a screen protector on it.

$17.00 for 3 screen protectors, not too bad imo.

But if you drop yours face down you'll end up with a shattered phone screen that requires repair.

If I drop mine face down I'll end up with a shattered screen PROTECTOR...my screen will be fine.

That is why people are buying them. That is why they are worth the money.

But to each his/her own.
