But if you drop yours face down you'll end up with a shattered phone screen that requires repair.

If I drop mine face down I'll end up with a shattered screen PROTECTOR...my screen will be fine.

That is why people are buying them. That is why they are worth the money.

But to each his/her own.

Valid point that I won't dispute. I had a Mophie Battery pack case on my iP4 which served a better purpose, it saved my phone from a drop and 3 bounces on the concrete AND works as a battery back up. With a screen protector, I suffered no scratches and the rubberized inside of the case prevented any impact cracks.

Definitely not arguing with you, just sayin there are other ways too.

Well, I just put my replacement on 2 weeks ago. Why? Because I bought a Wrapsol while I was dealing with Spigen to obtain a replacement. I didn't want my screen scratched by my earrings while I was waiting.

Well, I look at my phone this morning...and guess what. Image

Same symptom folks. this is the replacement! I went to time and date dot com so the current date and time would show so u know it wasn't an old photo.

I have put 2 on over the months and nothing. Here is what I suspect:

1. You did not clean and dry the phone. I know you think you did, but you did not.

or

2. You did not get a good alignment.

Here is something else to do. Right after application put a heavy book on top of the phone and leave it for an hour.

I have no bubbles, not even on the edges.

Only if you don't have Applecare+

Once your 2 replacements are gone...then glas.t makes sense. My last glass.t was in my pocket with my keys after a few months of use....then a chip on the edge, followed by a crack. This is its flaw.

I buy because I like the fee of the surface.

You don't have a problem so if someone does then it is obviously their fault.

Seriously? LOL

Have you read the thread at all?

It's not plastic. it is Glass. Second I hope you're not referring to me. The picture is of a warranty replacement. so I didn't spend any additional money.

i know it's glass but at the end of the day its just a screen protector. i was referring to anyone wasting money on this

Since you put 2 on with the same results, yeah its your fault.

Or your screen is warped.

Actually this is the third with the issue. Even if I had screwed it up I couldn't have screwed it up three times exactly the same way. Why would it be the top two corners of the screen protectors fail the same way three times spreading from the center of a defect outward and no where else?

You don't think maybe they had a problem with a batch or two in their production?

No other screen protectors I've applied on this phone have had issues. Now that I think about it I haven't had issues with screen protectors on any of my three ipads or other 3 iPhones. Thinking again I didn't have issues with screen protectors on any of my other Windows Mobile Smartphones dating back to 2000 or my Pocket PC & Windows CE devices such as the Cassiopeia dating back to the mid to late 1990's.

Yet, after 15+ years of using and applying screen protectors I don't know what I'm doing and it's all my fault.

Thanks for letting me know, I totally appreciate it. :D

Ive put 2 on wirh no issues. Either its you or your iphone glass has an imperfection.

I think there are mixed reviews to Spigen's Glas.ts. I, personally, had no issues applying it onto my iphone but on my iPad, it gained some minimal bubbles on the side. Perhaps, this is due to the bigger surface of the screen on the iPad. But all I could say is that I'm a fan of this tempered glass screen protector. :p

Do not buy from here. These are fake.

That's the point. That's why you save some $$. I have some on the way now, will come back and let every one know the quality when they arrive. I recently dropped mine and chipped the side of the glass T and can't help but think it may have been my screen if I hadn't had it on. Very pleased :)

Why doesn't the company make their own line of screen protectors then? Are they trying to profit off the other company's reputation? I've been burned before, buying from a site that sold fake products, and it broke down in few days. I think it also sucks for the original company because their reputation goes down.

Yes they are trying to profit off another companies reputation, that's the entire point of counterfeit products. Now you as a consumer need to decide if you're comfortable purchasing counterfeit items. I have been stationed all over the world and have bought many fake items and honestly have no issue with it but that's for you to decide.
I will tell you their Element cases are very good and my kid has had no issues with his and he is pretty abusive with his phones. It's dinged up in spots but still looks pretty good. Seeing as I only paid $24 instead of the $140 element charges I'm more than happy. I just dropped and chipped the edge of my authentic glass T and it's holding up like a champ. IF the counterfeit product holds up as well I'll be happy I saved $10.

i agree, the price is cheaper, but the quality is not cheaper!

Anyone know if Spigen is coming out with a GLAS.t for the iPhone 5?? I know they have preorders for the other screen protectors, but I reallllly wanna try the glas.t.

for those using the fake glas.t, anyone use it for few months? How is it holding up?

I asked them a week ago and was told that they are working to release it on the same day as the new iphone launch day (presumably sept 21)

Spigen has the GLAS.t for the new iPhone available now : http://www.spigen.com/cell-phone/apple-iphone/iphone-5/iphone5-oleophobic-coated-tempered-glass-glas-t.html

Got mine today, now i need the iPhone 5 lol.

It's always the same, i end up buying all the access. for the gadget i don't yet have..

What I don't get is how they already have the iPhone 5 screen protector out and the iPhone 5 isn't even out or been announced yet. Did sgp already get the specs from apple I'm guessing...?

Well I ordered the Ultra Oleophobic protectors over the Glas.t for the iPhone 5, even though I really wanted to try the Glas.t out. Well my shipment arrived and they sent me a Glas.t instead of the Ultra Oleophobic! Guess I get to try it for free now. Just like the previous poster, I just need an iPhone 5 now. The 21st can't get here soon enough.

I've enjoyed Apples wonderful Oleophobic coated screens for years.

Carrying the phone in my front pocket without anything covering it, I've never incurred even the smallest scratch or scuff.

Nothing beats the terrific tactile feedback that this coating provides.

To forsake that for a crummy screen protector, is to rob oneself from using the phone the way Apple designed it to be used.

For those who use their phone naked, how has this protector been long term? My phone gets a dedicated pocket at all times so it's not going to be bumping into anything. My fear is that the edges will start chipping since the protector is so thick and raised. I have used my 4 and 4S naked for the most part. Wasted a lot of $ on cases and always went back to naked. But something about getting a new phone always makes me panic about protecting it :p
