I just shot my review of it, it'll be up in the next few days.

The short version: it's unlike any screen shield I've seen. Truly feels identical to the iPhone's naked glass screen, except for the home button which gets recessed under the .4mm shield. It's fingerprint resistant and crystal clear.

Only problem with it is that it's virtually impossible to remove dust from underneath. Basically you get one shot to install it and that's it. If you try to pry it up it gets ruined and it has to be placed flat onto the screen since it's so thick.

If you aren't supper anal about dust showing under your shields you'll love it. If the smallest speck bother you then you this might not be for you.

Thanks for the info! I would love to try it but fear of not getting it on properly the first time and wasting $27 on it really sucks. I may just stick to regular screen protectors.

Thanks Larry. Looking forward to your review. Would be cool if they would make one for the back as well

Agreed. It's really pretty cool - but I think the Ultimate Class, which I reviewed a few days ago, is better for those of us who like to get a perfect shield install. It has similar properties to the GLASt but allows for lift up so you can remove dust.

Hey Larry! Glad you chimed in here. I trust your reviews more than any other on the web. I saw that you recently reviewed the SGP Ultimate Class screen shield...

How much thicker is this than the ultimate class? Also, is it more finger print resistant than the ultimate class? went back and forth between the two but decided to go with the GLAS.t .. i hope i made the right choice.. thanks

It's twice as thick. The Ultimate Class is .2mm and the GLASt is .4mm.

I think the GLASt is slightly more fingerprint resistant. It certainly looks and feels better than the U.C. and that's saying a lot because I loved the U.C. I'm just one that won't stop until I've got a screen shield on so perfect that you can't tell it's there. That's very hard to do with the GLASt - unless you manage to do it the first time. I almost had it perfect, but there was one speck of dust annoying me. When I tried to lift it up it started to ruin it.

Nice find!!! I just placed an order, we'll see how it goes!

The dust is a big deal for me.
Thanks for the heads up.

Me too - I'm sticking with the U.C.

I wish I had a "clean-room" to install the GLASt.

It sort of bubbles. Hard to explain but if you've ever dropped an iPhone back plate it's the same sort of thing.

Hmm, quite interesting. Unfortunately I've never had that experience.. so It's up the in the air for me.

I'm going to wing it then, I've got a $32 Amazon credit from a textbook I just returned anyways. If push comes to shove I'll get the UC later. I just really want to try this Glas.t :3

I love how SGP is coming up w/ new revised versions for their films. I recently bought their new steinheil films that are sold for the front & back.
This Glas.t. looks awesome.

Just saw Larry's review and ordered one. I used my iphone 4s without screen shield for a month and even though I'm very careful with it, there are hairline scratches all over the screen. Need to figure out if its possible to remove or just go to apple store and hope that they can replace the glass on it. I hate seeing scratches :)

It will cost you $199 to replace but if an issue were to come up.....they would replace it under warranty. I agree, the screens are not that scratch resistant.

Hopefully they won't charge but if they will then I'll just wait :)

I received and installed mine today.

For the install, I ran the hot shower and installed it in the bathroom, as the humidity will keep the dust down. I was able to get a perfect install, without a speck of dust anywhere on the phone. That made me VERY happy, as I'm a bit OCD when it comes to dust under the screen protector.

You get ONE shot at installing this. You can't remove it without ruining it. Once it's on, it's awesome. It feels like a naked iPhone screen, and CRYSTAL clear. Really nice at repelling oils from your fingers too. There is absolutely zero drag or friction, and it does feel like a brand new screen.

Since it's 4mm thick, they give you some button covers, that are like a softer material and bubble like, with the same square design on it, so it looks like nothing is there. It helps raise the button so you don't feel the 4mm gap when using the home button. This is a fantastic feature, and really does help the overall usage.

I'm using the ZooGoo iPhone case, which is a TPU style (only softer) material, and it seems to be OK with it. I tired the Switcheasy Vulcan TPU case, and it started to raise the shield in the corners and sides.

Tolerance is TIGHT on this. You need to line it up exactly perfectly, in one shot. That's my biggest issue. If you blow this, you're out $28. I almost had a panic attack making sure I lined it up perfectly. Sweating bullets in a steaming hot bathroom, and holding my breath applying it, like I'm a sniper with a 3 quarter mile head shot... This was nerve-racking. For $28, they should give you 2, or build an installer into the box for a perfect fit.

All in all, if you line it up right, install it in a clean environment, have a steady hand, nerves of steel, and $28 bucks to drop, I say it's an awesome screen shield worth every penny.

BEWARE, this is going to give a whole of cases trouble. Make sure if you're using a case with a lay on the table design, it goes over onto the glass enough, so it doesn't interfere with the edges. It will raise the shield easily since there's a 4mm edge to snag.

After the install, there IS some slight bubbling along the VERY edges. The instructions say they will go away in a couple of days, I'll come back and let you know if they do.

Well, got the GLAS.t today, went into the bathroom, did a sauna style install, and.......

Perfect, not one speck of dust :D

Only issue is, on the bottom left corner the silicon bottom is ever so slightly warped from SGP, so it's got the tiniest of a bubble. Maybe at best .2mm? Actually most likely half that.

I absolutely love this thing.

Yes it's expensive, but I personally think it was worth every last penny :D
