It won't necessarily help you. But of course.

Are the tolerances tight on the button so you'd only have to worry about it being straight when you drop it down and not have to worry about it being too low or high or left or right.

edit: Also if you start to lay it down and its not lined up can you pull it off at all? Or does it ruin the adhesive.

edit2: by the video it looks like you can line it up before adhering it?

2 questions:

1) Where did you buy the lime green home button sticker?
2) Will the iPhone 4/4S still fit into a CalypsoCase after applying the SGP GLAS.t screen protector?

Thanks in advance for the info. :)

The button comes with it and yes, it will fit perfectly fine :)
Review should be up tomorrow with all the dirty details.

Oh, I see. I didn't know that the screen protector comes with "funky" colored button protectors. I had previously thought that the button protectors that are included are those transparent, clear type ones. My bad.

Thanks for the info that the iPhone will still fit in the CalypsoCase. :)

Case Fit

Does this fit with the candy shell satin and does it fit with the mophie juice pack pro

Would it work with an iskin solo type case that wraps around the front of the screen but is flexible?

I'm just interested in the epoxy home button stickers. If anyone who purchased the Glast.t is not using the black ones I'd purchase them from you.

I think that for all of us who are interested in buying the home button stickers, we can probably all send emails to SGP to inquire about it. I'm sure that if the demand is "high enough", SGP will definitely sell home button stickers in the very near future.

For that price they should include a tool to align the protector, something like a platic tool that you put around two of the iPhones corners and then just push the protector against it and then just drop it on the glass.
Such a tool is inexpensive to make and makes applying it a lot easier.

There are some authorized SGP retailers on ebay that are selling the GLAS.t. Looks like they'll ship to the UK for about $2.

Thanks! I ordered one yesterday, was about £20 which is okay. I'll try it with my Caze Thinedge/Pinlo Slice 3 and post some pictures. Hope I'll get it installed perfectly.

Does this "hovering technique" from their video actually work? (it looks like they laid it down and were still able to adjust the alignment before pressing it down with a finger to make it adhere).

As I said before a few post up it fits with all of the Mophie cases as they don't come over the glass.

I'm not sure about the Satin but it wouldn't sit properly in the normal Candyshell cases that I have. The original iPhone 4 one worked the best but that was because it was older and had been slightly stretched out due to use. The brand new one I had was too tight. It wouldn't "lock" into place meaning it wasn't really secure in there. Also if I squeezed it to "lock" it in I'm sure it would ruin the SP.

For the person who wanted the home button covers, you can get them on eBay for a couple of bucks.

Hmmm.... This looks interesting, but I'm not sure they really know what they're talking about.
"Surface hardness 8-9H, three times stronger than regular PET film".
Firstly, what hardness scale are they using? 8 or 9 is a very low number for hardness, but maybe it's Rockwell C they're using.
Secondly, of course glass has a higher hardness value (on whatever scale) than PET. That's the advantage to PET - it's flexible. Flexible means soft. Remember when soda bottles were made of nice, hard glass. What happened when you dropped one on a hard floor? Now think about what happens when you drop a modern soda bottle made of PET onto the same floor.
Next, hardness does not equate to strength. See the soda bottle example above. And do they mean impact strength, tensile strength, what?

The page has typos too; "shard objects such as knives", "when removed fro re-use". I'd say it was stuff that was lost in the translation, but the company address is given as CA, so I have to conclude it's just lack of attention to detail.

However, even given the BS marketing-speak and sloppy web page, the concept of an oleophobic extra glass layer seems appealing. I might have to take of my PowerSupport HD film and give it a try.

Thanks for the info! I would love to try it but fear of not getting it on properly the first time and wasting $27 on it really sucks. I may just stick to regular screen protectors.

+1

I will buy it to try it out but I wish there were two in the pack. I'm the type who always buys two sets of each SGP screen protector that I buy just because I'm so anal in getting it on perfect.

P.S. After thinking about this more, I don't know if I want to spend the money and only get one shot of getting it right. I think I'll wait at least a few more weeks to see if folks who already have it start to have issues with it. That does happen with some screen protectors from time to time.

I have a love hate relationship with this screen shield. It is by far the best I've ever had (and i've bought about a dozen). However, it is extremely difficult to place it on correctly. The bathroom trick does help but it does not help if there is already some "invisible" dust on the screen already.

Somebody knows if it fits with a Vapor pro case? And if it does, will it maintain the over the table caractheristic?

Thanks.

You still have a bit of lay on the table protection with a Vapor Pro.

However, the Epoxy button is right there to almost bypass the lay-on-the-table distance though, as in super close, but it still works :)

Why would someone vote down this post? This is very helpful for people who are still trying to make up their minds about purchasing the product.
