SGP NEO HYBRID EX is now available

waiting for my matte in silver... received what i thought was it two days ago but turns out they sent me a full body shield by mistake. supposedly the correct product is on its way now. As annoying as it is, I have to say their customer service at least has been pretty prompt at responding. I just had to send them a picture of what I received and that was that. I'm still trying to find a case that i really like. had the ifrogz luxe from the beginning- liked the feel, hated the circle bump on the back and the paint started wearing off. I have the incase snap (smoke) which i love the look of but leaves too many edges exposed. Just tried the incipio smoke case from walmart that everyone was talking about and aside from the backview, i think its kinda ugly. here's to hoping i like the matte :)

after not receiving anything in the mail i wrote back to sgp wondering where my correct product was...

their reply:

"It appears that the case you had ordered, Neo Hybrid Matte Series, is currently out of stock. There had been a systematic error on our website.
I apologize for inconvenience.

We do not know the exact date of release yet unfortunately.

If you would like, we can refund you the amount you were charged with.

Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

Thank you for your understanding."

... so much for that case, i think i'll take my refund (hopefully) and look else where.

Which full body shield was it, the new Premium Matte one?

If so, you and I should've just traded lol. I ordered that new Premium Matte set and instead they sent me the silver Neo Hybrid Matte. Sent that back and the next thing they sent me was the silver Neo Hybrid EX >_>

lol they sent me the EX premium matte anti-fingerprint Incredible shield. maybe our orders got switched! i still have it. i told them i'll send it back if they send me a postage paid label. they didn't respond. and they refunded my money. you should have kept the case they sent you!

Lol yeah I thought about it. But I didn't consider that they'd screw the order up a second time and the guy I was communicating with seemed able enough. Until I hear something from them about the latest screw up, I'm holding onto this second EX.
 
Just a follow up for me... I've used my Hybrid Satin Silver now for a week and on second thought, I really like this case. Other than it being a bit slippery compared to the Apple bumper, its a sweet case. It's help up quite well over a week. I haven't taken it off and it still looks new, no scratches or anything. The rubber part really sits on the phone well and covers the lips very nicely. So don't hesitate if you like the way it looks. After a few days you'll appreciate it even more.

So has anyone with the EX satin silver seen peeling or fading of the silver "paint"? Not sure if I missed this but how is the sizing compared to the apple bumper (width/thickness)?

A couple of weeks now and no problems whatsoever with my Neo Hybrid. I think that this case will hold up.

As far as the thickness, even the Neo Hybrid seems thinner than the Apple Bumper. The same should be the same with the Hybrid EX.

Any issues using this with a front screen protector like a PS AG?

Can't vouch for the PS but the case does come with the Steinheil front protectors.
 
Just got my shipment today. Kinda flimsy. Don't know if i like it. Ordered from cretouch.com. Free shipping.
 
Hi Guys,

How the drop for this casing? anyone drop using this case? I wonder when you drop, will it really protect the front and back case if it's on flat surface.
 
Neo Hybrid

I have the Neo Hybrid Matte in Satin Silver and the Neo Hybrid EX in yellow. I like both of them and have had no problems taking them on and off. You do have to be careful though. They look great and have been a source of compliments. I also have the Ultra Slider in silver and have been happy with it as well. I've seen the video review and while I like the reviews by that particular person, my experience has been positive.

I'd love to see some quality pics of the Satin Silver if you don't mind. I ordered it from Cretouch but it doesn't ship until the 15th and I'm not sure if I want to stick with the Satin Silver or get the black. If you could post some pics, that would be awesome. Thx.

Also, any issues plugging in your headphones or using any of your chargers/desktop chargers? The cutouts looks pretty small.
 
So I couldn't wait any long, I just pre-ordered this case in Smooth White. I'll be sure to upload a video review once I get it :D

I'm stoked to see it though.

I'll see if I can post some pics later today. No problem with headphones, but there is an issue with chargers. No issues with dock chargers, but you do have to use the smaller pin connectors.
 
Ordered: SGP iPhone 4 Case Neo Hybrid EX Series [Yellow]

In anticipation of replacing my 3g iPhone, I ordered the SGP Neo Hybrid EX case [Yellow] when I read here that they would be back in stock this month.

For anyone who's interested, I'll share the ordering history from order to product receipt and any notable issues, pics, etc.

So far...
Oct. 3 - Payment submitted via PayPal
Oct. 3 - Order received and confirmed by SGP
Oct. 18 - Received

[Update: Ordered in 1st 500 group - EX should have shipped today (Oct 15 per SGP website) but NO WORD yet from SGP.
BTW, these guys are really, really bad about replying to emails - as in they DON'T! Very frustrating. Big time customer contempt] :(

The headphone jack (at least on the Neo Hybrid) is very small and could be a problem with some headphone jacks. Of course the thin Apple ones fit but my Klipsch s4i's just barely fit.

As for chargers my Lexus integration kit as well as my iGo iphone tip work fine. It's a tight fit but they do connect.

With a dock, no problems with an iHome unit.
