SGP NEO HYBRID EX is now available

Quick pics of the SGP Neo Hybrid matte satin silver case, sorry not the greatest pics but i tried to snap it as fast as i could before work. I didnt install the ultra crystal protector that came with it, because i already had their EX ultra crystal full body.
The fit was really tight, probably because i had the sgp side protection on, but i managed to get it on eventually. the side button is a tad off alignment but everything else seems perfect. It really cant slide off, its that tight. lock button is silent and kinda hard to press but the volume button is good.
Feels great, love the back. Most importantly looks great and so I'm gonna use it for awhile and see how it holds up.
Hope my quick review helped those interested.
These pictures make it look like it picks up lint easily. Is that the case? (No pun intended)

TBH, I was really excited about this case and ready to purchase the Neo Hybrid Matte and Neo Hybrid EX. Ultimately, I purchased the Satin Silver Neo Hybrid Matte.
Impressions:
Overall, it seems like a great idea with poor execution. Seam lines are visible on each corner as well as the buttons. The silver trim piece is quite thin and is very flimsy. It doesn't look like it will last if you're intending on switching frequently.
My biggest gripe and disappointment is that the silver trim piece feels like an old school eBay faceplates for Nokia phones. I really don't think the silver paint will hold up in your pocket and I predict that it will rub off and end up white. Not only this, the silver trim looks quite plasticcy.
The positives are that I can see the whole case protecting the phone fairly well and it also does not cause my Invisible Shield to bubble on the sides.
I'm gonna see how I feel about this case for a few days, but at this point I'm really disappointed and I intend to return it. Sadly, the marketing/press materials did a great job at selling me and creating a lotta hype. Ultimately, it did not deliver as expected.

Just got my Neo Hybrid Matte (Satin Silver) yesterday and upon first observation I felt the same as MarkLR. However after just a day of using the case I am starting to really like this case. One you put the case on along with the Steinheil screen protector, you have a nice level of protection in a slim form factor.
I have had no problems getting the case in and out of my pockets with the silcone matte back of the case.
One of the real nice surprises for me is the fact that my car integration kit plug fits with the case on (albeit a little tightly).
The sleep as well as the volume buttons have a nice tactile feedback when pressed.
I hope this case holds up as I too have a sneaky feeling that the polycarbonate bumper might eventually peel. However until that time (if ever), I think the Neo Hybrid is a case that really grows on you.

Just wanted to add my opinions to the mix.
1. The material they used for the silicone does not feel cheap...it actually feels very nice and smooth.
2. The plastic frame is thin..but i guess that was the only way to get it over the silicone which is tough as it is.
3. The mold lines on the frame are barely noticeable in the four corners of the plastic.
For a slim but stylish case you cant go wrong.

I already returned my case, but again these were my final findings after using it for 3-4 days:
1.The silicon is very loose fitting. It almost doesn’t make sense why SGP went with a 2 piece design? The smart move would have made the silicon a very tight fit over the phone and then slip on the outer plastic casing. Slipping on the outer case over the loose silicon is awkward and creates pockets on the side of the phone where debris can easily enter and scratch the sides.
2. The plastic frame is very thin and very cheap, but its acceptable once on the phone. If you push hard on the EX case you will bend the area near the dock connector. I also don’t know what if any real protection this will offer if you drop it, but it does look nice.
3. The plastic frame is cheaply painted. The color was not consistent all the way through on mine. Also, the 4 seams are easily visible from a foot away. Not a big deal, but for the asking price I expect them to figure out a way to better hide the seams.
For the asking price I cant recommend this case (EX Hybrid) to anyone at the present time. If SGP tightens up the silicon fit and spends a little more time with the paint job on the outer case I can definitely see potential. Hopefully version 2 of the case improves upon these significant weaknesses.

Larry Greenbergs review made it look awesome. The SGP Neo Hybrid looks like the best case Idea yet, but I've read lots of reviews of SGP products that claim they have pretty shoddy quality. I don't know about all that, but if I do buy a case, it'll probably be the Neo Hybrid (not the EX, because bumpers are stupid and I already have the official one).
Still waiting for my Pixelskin HD though. If im super pleased with that, I probably wont buy anything

Mine does not have those issues. Even then, the plastic band piece seems to be the same for both Hybrid and Neo. The only difference is whether silicon skin has back or not.
Well I was gonna get this case but I guess not anymore. Are there any other good bumper alternatives that will support my wrapsol ultra skin?
I just received mine today. Here is my little review
1. The case looks very very good. It's so damned sexy.
2. The case is not loose fitting at all. It's very snug and buttons are easy to press
3. I love the quality of the screen protector that came with it.
4. The quality of the silicone is top notch. The quality of the plastic outer band is good but not the best. Although it may seem like the paint will wear off with time, that's not the case. I tried to scratch it with a steel table spoon, and the paint is still intact. Besides, if anything happens it comes with sgp lifetime warranty.
5. Those of you who are complaining about the quality enough to return the case are being too anal(unless u got a lemon). Seriously, it's my favorite case so far.
I actually like it more than my PixelSkin HD.
Am I keeping the case? Absolutely
P.S: For the quality they offer , the case is very expensive. I would say the real value is about 15 dollars.
I think the matte will be my next case, looks great.
Liking my PS HD now I have a decent one, but I'm just waiting for the dreaded sag. My fall back when it/if does was going to be a Commuter or NGP, but this looks like a winner. The band does look fragile before fitting, but i can't see how it will be a major problem once on.

i first had a speck candyshell, only because that was my favorite case on the 3GS. wasnt the case for the ip4. then the free pixelskin hd arrived and i was using that for awhile, but it was still bulky and wasnt the slim case i was looking for, plus it totally covered up the awesome cover i had on the back of my ip4. then i saw the neo hybrid EX and that was it. no stickky rubber to cling in your pockets, skim fitting and bumper style to show the back of my ip4.
the edge of the case keeps the ip4 screen elevated when placed on a surface, the silicon is nice and doesnt get sticky in your pockets.
the charger hole is an EXACT fit for an apple charger, same goes for headphone plug.
obviously this case isnt going to give you complete protection, look else where, but for slim, form fitting case this is much better than the bumpers.

waiting for my matte in silver... received what i thought was it two days ago but turns out they sent me a full body shield by mistake. supposedly the correct product is on its way now. As annoying as it is, I have to say their customer service at least has been pretty prompt at responding. I just had to send them a picture of what I received and that was that. I'm still trying to find a case that i really like. had the ifrogz luxe from the beginning- liked the feel, hated the circle bump on the back and the paint started wearing off. I have the incase snap (smoke) which i love the look of but leaves too many edges exposed. Just tried the incipio smoke case from walmart that everyone was talking about and aside from the backview, i think its kinda ugly. here's to hoping i like the matte
What is up with this case? It's been on the SGP website for a while but all versions of the Neo Hybrid EX are shown as "Temporarily Out Of Stock". On the other hand, it seems that some people have been able to place an order. And some have actually received their order.
So, it looks like it gets the lgreenberg and JNGold seal of approval.
I like lgreenbergs' reviews. I'm still checking with the SGP's site, but they are still out of stock.
