SGP Steinheil Films & Incredible Shields for iPhone 4 are available for Pre Order!!

I wonder if the makers of SGP have downs. They advertise a cut out for the front camera on the Ultra, but none for the back. With the Crystal clear they advertise a cut out for the back flash, but not one for the front. Haha, unbelievable. Hopefully they will actually have a cut out for both front and back in the final product.
 
Looks like the EX Ultra Crystal is available for order. The Ultra Fine has been pulled (probably to update the page for ordering... or so I hope).

I just ordered some today. The quality isn't an issue, the only issue right now is the lack of cutouts for the front-facing camera and flash on the first batch of films.
 
Can someone bottom line this thread for me? It's been kind of hard to follow.

If I ordered the EX Ultra Crystal - today - from Cretouch will it have a cutout for the front camera? Will it have cutouts for the back camera and flash?

There's conflicting info coming from SGP in regards to the front facing camera. But given the info on the website and diagram I'd assume if you order from them today you'll have the camera/flash cutout for the back, but the front will not have the cut out for the camera.
 
For those who were waiting for their skins like the leather and carbon fiber ones, you can now order them and they will ship next week on 7/6/10 according to their site. I just ordered the carbon fiber to try out. :D
 
So has anyone received notification from the idiots at SGP that the replacement has shipped?
 
They seem to have removed the EX Anti-fingerprnt screens from their site. Does this mean no longer in stock or they are fixing the flash cut-outs? Is there much difference between the EX Anti-fingerprint and the Ultra Oleophobic?

The difference is that the anti-glare/fingerprint ones are matte-textured.

So the Ultra-Oleophobic ones aren't matte? They are glossy? I'm looking to reduce fingerprints and smudges without obscuring the retina display resolution. Sounds like anti-figerprint EX ones will.
 
Has anyone received their crystal ones yet? How is quality compared to a PowerSupport crystal one?

We had a manufacturing defect that EX film didn't have cutout for backside camera.* However, the film stocks we will get from next week will have those cutouts.* For the front camera, the EX crystal films doesn't have cutout because the material is completely transparent and our engineering test result confirms that there is no quality difference in pictures taken with our crystal film on.* However, the Anti-fingerprint film and EX-Ultra Matte have cutouts for the front camera.*
 
Well, mine shipped out last night and I live pretty close to their HQ, so hopefully I'll have it today or Monday. Hopefully my crystal clear has the flash cutout, although I don't think the front camera being covered should matter.
 
I didnt have such good luck

I couldnt get mine to stick by the button no matter what I tried. Its perfectly lined up yet it wont stick. I also have the same issue around the ear phone.

Mine is going back. I see others are having the same issue, and I consider pretty good at installing these things.


Guess I am going to have to be patient and wait for the power support protectors.
 
I placed my order on thursday for the EX Crystal Clear. I hope i don't get those issues with the ear piece. It shows shipped so i hope to get it by tuesday or wednesday.
 
I finally found the UK official reseller on eBay UK. Should get mine soon, I love the Anti-finger one.

I will just install it and wait for the PowerSupport to come.:D
 
Well, I just got home from a long day out and checked the mail. My package from Cretouch arrived. I received 2 replacement back EX films for my iPhone 4. I was hoping to receive replacement front films as well, but honestly, I don't think that is necessary.

I tried a FaceTime call for the first time today and the screen front EX film did not seem to have any effect on the front camera.

I'll install the new rear film tomorrow and let everyone know if hey have fixed the flash issue for me.
 
I went with the Ultra Crystal EX.

Ive installed these things a million times. and even after going thru both the included protectors that came in the package, I couldnt get the area around the home button to stick.

I did everything that is recommended when installing these things. I clear on the screen, compressed air, and did it in a steamy bathroom to lessen the risk of getting dust under the protector.

Both the ear phone and home button have issues. For now I am going to keep it, it was only $11.99, and then when the power support protectors come out, I will order that one.

See pictures below. PS it did this before I put the Belkin Grip Vue case on. No matter what I tried it wouldnt adhere correctly. I even tried taking it off and reapplying but still no luck.

It almost looks like when they made the cut outs for the home button and ear phone, they distorted the plastic, and thats why it wont adhere. You can clearly see a line around the entire earphone.
Maybe over the next few days it will cling better to the phone, but i doubt it will .
 
Wow I might have just got lucky. I received mine last week and the install was painless. I don't have any of the lifting around the speaker or home button.....lucky me I guess. I have been a PS Crystal user since 3G and this is very comparable. Most people that I show the phone to doesn't even know that I have a screen protector on. Another thing when compared to the PS Crystal is that the PS seems to be slightly thicker. Overall I was waiting for PS but after using the SGP Crystal for a week I will probably pass on the PS for this round.

Im going to email sgp to see if they can send me a replacement set.
Both of mine experienced the issue with the home button and the ear phone.

Its seems that some people get the film thats perfect and some experience the issue I am having.

I have a Ultra Crystal on the front and I have the same issue.
