Nothing is South Hills Village mall store in Pittsburgh.

I stopped in the Shadyside store about 10:15 AM today, they had none but told me South Hills had 5. Asked my wife to check out South Hills since we live nearby; by the time she got there around 11:15, they were sold out but the guy did confirm they had some this morning. I checked Ross Park at lunch and Shadyside again after work at about 6...still nothing. I'll probably continue checking Shadyside every morning or lunch time since it's close to my office.

To anyone in DFW, even though I got mine today, I had called Southlake before visiting the store in Ft. Worth and they strongly advised me to stop by tomorrow. Who knows, maybe they're getting some

Just got mine at Guilford Center Vancouver, BC.

funny how the grove in LA had one. I was there at door open and they had zero. i knew later in the day they may actually get a shipment in, and that is probably what happened....

wow..

I got the same ******** attitude when I stopped in today, as if it's our fault Apple jacked this all up.
That was how the galleria guys were on Sunday when I asked about the pencil. Of course half of them did not know there was a stack of the ipad pro covers in both colors on the shelf either. So they were being both snotty and wrong.

I managed to get my hands on 3 at the Orland Park Mall, in chicagoland. Pretty sure I bought the last of them because one guy asked after me and I never saw him walk out with one, and the employees were pointing at me as I walked out, probably saying that guy bought the last of them. I took a chance too, I called oakbrook. Apparently you get a help desk operator even though your calling a specific store, told me orland had them. I call orland to verify stock and lady on the phone told me she couldnt verify, that the store was not gonna give out that information. I drove out their 45 min later, and SCORED!

Are you willing to ship out any? I don't have any apple stores near me:(

This is something I don't get... How do they get "multiple shipments per day?" UPS/FedEx doesn't usually go to the same business/home multiple times per day...
I work in retail and we get shipments in every day from a freight delivery company in the morning, fedex Comes around noon and UPS around 4. Larger stores even get multiple deliveries from them. Depends on the size of shipment and physical space in each truck. UPS and fedex also have different branches, local, freight, express, etc.. This multi truck delivery is especially true for malls and plazas where every store has to get deliveries from these same companies. No way one driver could take care of all of them.

BTW, we also have no clue when or what is coming, just a rough estimate.

I'm not sure how many they had, but the Frisco, TX Apple Store got stock around 12pm-1pm today. I managed to get one!

Exactly. Same ******** attitude from the Apple Stores here in Hong Kong. Their attitude was like "Why do you want a freaking Pencil so much? Just order online and relax, wait for 5 weeks and don't waste my time. No stock, no stock, no nothing. Next."

What time did you pick them up?

For guys who have already got the Apple Pencil, how did you purchase it? Did you just see it on the shelf or did you need to specifically ask a staff for that? I may pass by an Apple Store later today so I will take a look there.

Yeah, I'm not happy about their attitudes in store. We are their life's blood ffs.

They sometimes remind me of a sales guy that asked me if I could even afford it, before he let me test drive a BMW several years back. Dude was like 20 and seemed to have gotten his ego wrapped around the products he was selling and lost sight of the fact he was at the bottom of the retail food chain. I've no problem with retail, but when you start looking down your nose at customers, you're doing it wrong.

To answer hurikos question, i walked in, asked about the pencil the salesperson perked up and said yes we have them ! (i was prepared for disapointment) but i missed by an hour and a half. i'm going early tomorrow

You have to do both. When I got my Keyboard Tuesday, which I found it on the self. I asked a specialist if they had any Apple Pencils. She said no. She told me to order online and get in store pick up. I told her that wasn't possible. She said that's because it sold out. I told her that it's not even an option. I showed her on the Apple store app on my iPhone. That I couldn't even get the Keyboard (no Paid for yet)in my hand online. Which she was surprised that they had some. She tried looking it up on her handheld and couldn't fine the keyboard I had. I said there are two more back on the self. She had to dig deeper in to the system and was able to find it. She show me that the Pencil was indeed out of stock. It had a red dot next to it and the Keyboard had yellow next to it. Which meant that they were down to the last ones.

I went back an hour later to ask question about return the iPad Pro. I may not want the LTE and goto the Wifi version. I over heard another specialist talking to another customer and tell him that believed they had keyboards in stock. He looked back to the self across the store. It said it might be the last one. When I told the specialist I was talking to that I got a keyboard earlier she was surprise they even had any. So it depends on who you talk too.

I'm very disappointed in Apple Store's Employee communication on this launch. For something that just came out, you would think that management who be keeping their employee's up to date. By management, I mean in store not corporate.

My experience with the iPhone 6s launch was much different. It wasn't perfect but a lot better. I was able to get in store pick up the second day of launch. I had a 10:30 appointment. People were showing up with out online ordering. The line checker told that they had to order online. But instead of just sending them away. He helped them out. He checked to see if the phone they want was still available, if it wasn't he told which one's were.

Thanks for clarifying. Didn't factor that one freight co. And the fact that many smaller Apple Stores are mostly in mall settings which may have a couple visits from the big shippers.

Weird. They've been super nice to me every time I stop in. Yesterday the dude checked his little hand held POS terminal and didn't see any pencils or keyboards and then said "well let me go check the back just to make sure we didn't just get something in that didn't get scanned in" and came back out 5 minutes later with nothing. At least he tried.

The woman the day before (Tues) said that they had gotten in a few in the morning but they had obviously been sold by the time I got there. Asked if I checked the Galleria first and I said no, then said "oh well let's check to see if they have it" and walked over to an iMac and navigated to Apple.com...
