Having said that: I’m not decided yet which it will be, 6 or 6 Plus. That’s why I ordered them both. One will go back. If I can/want to handle the dimensions of the giant then I will keep it – not only because of the bigger screen for displaying content, the better cam and the better battery. It’s the keyboard that will play an important role in my decision.

I'm guessing there will be a growing number of 6 PLUS phone returns once people get them and try to live with them.

I have a iPhone 5 and a Lumia 1520. I absolutely love the Lumia 1520, the screen is gorgeous and is overall a nicer device to use. BUT, there is nowhere for me to keep it day in and day out. It's too big for my pockets and I keep my iPhone 5 in a horizontal leather case on my belt for easy access. Because of this, I would have to make major compromises with the 6 PLUS. My iPhone 5 continues to be my main phone because of this. Hoping 4.7" isn't going to be a problem on my belt.

I think a decent percentage of people will find the 5.5" cumbersome and will return.

I've been trying to pre-order an ATT iPhone for full price on Apple's website, but the only option I'm given is for a 2 year contract. Can't I just buy the darn phone outright and have ATT activate it?
In this case you will have to buy the T-Mobile contract-free phone. It is unlocked and identical to the AT&T unlocked phone.

I know it's impossible to please everyone and Apple needed to draw a line somewhere, but honestly 4.7" just seems a little too little of an increase in size from my Iphone 5 to be an easy decision for me, and the 5.5" seems just a bit big for all the places and situations I need my phone. I think 5" would have been the sweet spot for me. Now I just have to decide which one to settle on and be happy with.

Okay. Thanks. I had checked out the "unlocked" T-Mobile version but there's an implication it would be locked to T-Mobile for the first 45 days.

Negatory. Purchase a T-mobile contract free phone from Apple, and it is unlocked -believe me, been there. Purchase a an iPhone 6 from T-Mobile, and that may be a bit of a different story, though I cannot confirm.

If you buy the t-mobile contract-free phone from apple.com or the apple store at full retail price it will not be locked to t-mobile.

For those complaining that their AT&T orders are delayed, here is one reason it may. They hold back a lot of stock for their premier business customers. For example, my premier agent for my company ordered a 16GB SG 6+ and a 16GB Gld 6 at 11:00a Friday and had no issues getting a delivery confirmation for the 19th. Luckily, I get one.

The order status of my 6 and 6 Plus orders already switched to "Preparing for Shipment". Anybody with the same experience? Cannot remember if that was the case in the last years one day after preorder.

That's where I swoop in and get a refurbished one for less money:D

My iPhone6 preorder with Verizon has already shipped. I have a tracking number and it's been picked up by Fedex in PA.

I'm bummed I chose AT&T, got my orders in right away and have a shipping estimate 14-21 days on space gray 64GB Plus and 21-28 days on gold 64GB Plus.

Same here. It's disgraceful!!! They didn't tell shipping estimates until AFTER the transactions. AT&T = disgraceful.

With 50 billion in cash reserves, Apple could build a mobile infrastructure and destroy AT&T and Verizone... #ifOnly!

On a side note, iPhone 6+'s are currently selling for $1,450 on eBay. So if your thoughts are true, people could simply quick-sell the thing on eBay and make a fortune. Something worth considering for those of you lucky enough to get 9/19 iPhone 6+ preorders.

Is it _selling_ for $1,450, or is someone looking for idiots buying it for $1,450?

If you are living within the EU, where you have statutory rights against the seller, you need to remember that buying a brand new iPhone from a seller on eBay instead of any store means your statutory rights are against some random person on the internet, and not against a (hopefully) reputable company. You will be unlikely to get anything if your iPhone breaks after 13 months.

Ordered a space grey 64g 6 at about 2:10 CST .
Initially got an email saying it would ship on or around sept 19-- I pre-ordered on AT&T because apple wouldn't load for me in app form or via the web

Got the confirmation email around 5:00am
And waited for more info to be filled in.

Flash forward to 6:00pm today and now it says my phone won't ship till oct 12-31!!

The kicker is that as of 10:08 CST I could order the same phone from apple with sept 19 delivery!
I really want to cancel my order, but they told me on the phone that my upgrade eligibility wouldn't restore for 24-48 hours- and who knows what the apple availability would be then..
Bummer.. Not sure what to do.. Thinking I may go to a b and m store and see if anyone can help me out..

AT&T (and I assume Verizon) are such disgraces in dealing with their customers. Might as well throw my money into a black hole... same customer service. I was millimeters away from switching to T-mobile, but their network coverage is just not good enough.

Are those the first signs of the hipster mob getting angry and violent over a gadget? Despite the fact that historically public violent rage has been recorded over some absurd trendy item, I would hope people would have learned and started acting a bit more civilised?

I've been holding out for a while (still on the iphone 4) but this pair may finally get me to upgrade. I'm leaning more towards the 6 plus but I'll play with both before deciding (especially with the 6+ weighing in at 6 ounces).

I'm not in any rush to get the new device so I can wait a few months ... but going from 3.5" screen to 5.5" screen? Yep, I'm so ready for that in 2014! :)

I ordered a iPhone 6 16gb Silver from ATT at about 11:58p.m. on Thursday night and my order says it will ship 9/17-9/18 (info from ATT website/account).

4" to 4.7" is actually pretty significant. It's what last year's HTC One was, as well as the current Moto X.

:apple:watch.... Those of you that purchased the PLUS, are you interested in the :apple:watch at all? It is mostly going to be paired with your phone. If you're looking to get the watch, you're going to need your phone on workouts etc. I just don't see people putting the 6 PLUS in there gym shorts!!

Phone and watch use Bluetooth. Bluetooth can work over some reasonably long distance. The Apple Watch needs a phone for some functionality, but 1. it doesn't need it all the time and 2. the phone doesn't have to be on your body.

still over here just chillin' with my 5S which surprisingly is almost identical under the hood to the 6...hmmm...
It actually isnt very close at all, but whatever makes you feel better keep thinking it

Still can't believe anyone would want to carry one of these phablets in their pocket all day. Sigh. I want my phone to rock and to NOT feel it. Minority I guess. Sad day for me.

Good thing for most people, we carry bags, breifcases, etc, thats where we put these things. Plus you haven't even held nor pocketed it yet so how do you even really know? and no, a cardboard cut out doesn't represent how the hpone will feel...

Hm! Either AT&T's system has malfunctioned or I'm a little ticked.... pre-ordered iPhone 6 64GB SG at 3:15am EST Friday through AT&T, got an email confirmation of 'around 9/19' at 7:30am, aaaand now checking status the preorder ship date has slipped 7 days to 'between 09/23 and 10/02'.

Gosh, glad I pre-ordered at 3:15am. ;)
