Just called TNT and they say there's a delay. It's now going to be Wednesday before it arrives
 
Just got my invoice. Phoned tnt and they said it would be here on the 7th. Should have been here today! Gutted.

They did - but I didn't catch it properly.

I had to re-arrange delivery to my work address so they're calling back within the hour (we'll see if that happens!). I can ask again then.

All a bit rubbish really. I mean these are delivery services - it's what they do for a living and it'll mean a week from China. I could have driven it quicker than that ;)

Sounds like TNT worldwide has taken a couple of days off to celebrate 4th of July.

Are there any courier companies any good these days? After the farce of my Snow Leopard pre-order arriving a week after launch via Royal Mail, and now TNT using the 'slowest route possible' option, I'm wondering who are any good.

What makes it worse is that I ordered on the 16th directly from Apple and it now won't arrive til Wednesday, whereas a workmate ordered one from O2 on Friday and it's out for delivery today.
 
Invoice received, status "sent" (as of the 2nd) but no tracking number (information being updated by carrier) and estimated delivery has gone from 7th to 17th. Wtf!?

I once, a few years ago, had a delivery of a Mac Pro not turn up on the day I was told it would be delivered. I'd had to take a day off work and when I called in the afternoon to be told by the delivery company that it wouldn't be delivered cos the driver hadn't been able to find my address, even though their trucks drive up and down my street all day, and she admitted he had my contact number and a mobile phone but came up with the classic line "although they all carry mobile phones, they are not obliged to use them".

The cheery suggestion was that I take another day off work and she would make sure the driver had directions this time. This was on a Friday and I protested so much I got a special Saturday delivery even though she'd insisted this wasn't possible.

I saw the truck arrive on the Saturday and the driver gave the Mac Pro box and the Cinema Display a good few kicks as he unloaded it.

Anyway, I sent a mail to Apple saying I knew it wasn't their issue, but they might want to take this complaint into account when deciding on couriers to use as it could damage Apple's reputation, and I got a swift e-mail apologising and giving me a £50 refund.

I might be tempted to drop another complaint on similar grounds to Apple saying TNT have buggered up this delivery too, so please review using them or get them to improve service and see what happens.

I cannot even tell you how much I dislike TNT. I never had any good experience with them. Apple should switch to UPS, FedEx or maybe DHL.

Same thing for me! Starting to get frustrated but at least I can see some changes.
