is it nice to take notes on? does it feel like you are writing on paper and is it a fast?
trying to be productive with it, since finals are just around the corner.
iPad Pro replacing my laptop on my desk. Sometimes I use it like this for browsing the web, other times I use it next to my laptop to take notes, and other times I just take it somewhere to draw.
Ethan, it is phenomenal for taking notes. The Apple Pencil is one of, if not the best, styli I've ever used (I've used Wacom tablets for 6 years).

I love taking notes with it. I've been working on a paper for class and had to do some research. All my notes this past weekend have been on the iPad. it doesn't feel like im writing on paper though. It's obviously going to feel a little more smooth since it's on glass, I compare it to writing with pencil then writing in pen. The pen will feel more smooth and the apple pencil feels like another transition to a smoother type of writing. Both the pen and ipad have been able to keep up with my writing.

Thought I'd dig this up since I finally got my Pencil yesterday (ordered on November 18th!)
It's a beautiful object and yes, I can write tiny numbers in my sheet music with it. As for triggering my creative side, well there's work to be done 😀

Digging this back up as I was looking for more pics to help me decide in real world use the space gray vs silver/gold.
Leaning towards gold as I never had a gold o iOS device and the white silicon and white Smart Cover but didn't see too many pics. The pro just looks so good in the white and I have never had a white iOS device. Hard to describe.

Since I've mostly been studying lately and haven't needed to do much coding I've been leaving my MBP 15" at home and just using my iPP duriing the day. Here's a shot of it hooked up to an Apple BT keyboard in my office yesterday.
(Yes, those are dual 27" inch Apple TB displays... they're hooked to a maxxed out cylinder Mac Pro. YES, I was still using my iPP instead (because that's where all of my notes are))

First post here so going to throw in the heavy artillery. Devices on the left are mine from top to bottom 1.3ghz space gray rMB, 128GB space gray iPad Pro, 128GB space gray 6S+, SS Apple Watch and 2012 i7 15inch MacBook Pro with Samsung Pro 850 SSD. The wife's (she had no choice) 1.3ghz gold rMB, silver iPad 4, 128GB rose gold 6s+ and Alu/Gold Sport Apple Watch. Yup iGotProblems. I still gravitate towards the iPad Pro when home and just want to do casual task the speed of the iOS9/a9x combo is incredible. The lightness, easy touch UI, High quality screen and ridiculous speakers make it the best media consumption device I've ever used by far. I've been lurking here for a while glad to finally join in !

hey when you are spending big might as well go all out thats what I think 🙂 You did well to get the pencil in store.
Congratulations! Personally, I'd choose the space grey model and the grey keyboard cover.
Anyway, I would be glad to see the white combination in action!

Yea it we the first thing the guy said to me when I said I have been considering for a while. We have pencils in stock amazingly or something like that. He said they usually alternate between the pencil and ASK being out. The pencil was in, the ASK was not.

Wise choose, i got exactly the same, a white cover and the back i had to wait for my Pencil to arrive tho as i ordered online. I love the iPad Pro it's such a great device to use for consuming content and the pencil is great for drawing and taking hand written notes, combine it with the PDF Expert app (which allows you to write on PDF documents) and you have a really useful tool.

Here is it all set up. It's a beautiful combo and this is from someone that only has had black iOS devices my entire life. It just looks great on the pro and the combo is classic.

I think so depending on what the 7 has to offer. Excited to hear rumors that the antenna bands will be removed as i dont put cases on my phone. I think ios looks great in white but i have always gone black for my phones. The white is catching on.
