I really wish they offered a true black phone like the slate iPhone 5 again. I settled for Space Gray though as I don't think the gold 6 looks as good as the gold 5S did. The silver is a little too plain. I do like how the black bezel blends in with the screen too.

Same here. I think the black/slate iPhone 5 was the most badass looking iPhone. I got the Space Gray 6+ this time, coming from the Gold 5s. I think I will just rotate colors every year between black and gold. Both looks good.

in my mind it's no contest.
the iphone 6 seems like it was designed from the ground up for the black/space grey version. even all the promo materials for it show it in black.
this is in contrast to the 5 which seems to have been designed for the silver/white.

The curved screen makes the phone sleek, a departure from the simplicity of the 5's design language which matches well with the minimalist white colour. further, the curved glass causes weird shadowing on the white bezels on the 6 - not evident on the black.

add to the fact that the 6's meant to be seamless, the black camera and proximity sensors on the white face sticks out way too much and breaks the whole seamlessness of the phone. on the black, the whole phone seems seamless - even the screen seems to blend into the bezels itself - especially evident with the pink flower wallpaper, shown on a lot of the promo materials.

you can't get that effect on the white iphone - so you miss out on that design 'feature'

Got the space gray for a change since all my recent Apple devices have been white. I was also swayed by seeing the space gray with the black screen and pink flower on the Apple site. It looked so much better than the other colors in my opinion. I have mine in an Apple black leather case. So far I really haven't noticed any more fingerprints than on my white phone, maybe because I hold it by the case and not the bezels.

Spaced Out...

I got the Space Grey. The black screen completes the face of the iPhone when off. The other two colors do not 'blend' in the screen and front-facing camera dot, etc., to my OCD aesthetic standards. When the phone is on, it is framed perfectly by the blackness... with no distracting design elements from the area above and below the screen.

Space gray/black just seems more business like to me. I'm in the corporate world every day, and you don't see many white smartphones in the hands of guys who do business everyday. I have nothing against white phones, and I came really close to buying a silver iPhone 6, but I decided they look a little too casual coming out of the pocket of a dark suit.

Just my opinion though. ;)

I have always been a "black/space gray" fan, I have a Space Gray iPad Air, but for some reason the white/silver has grown on me...something about the white webpages on how they work with it, I am probably going to go Silver this time around. 6 Plus.

I initially got the space gray but swapped it out for the silver/white. I thought the space gray was a pretty ugly shade that almost looked green. Plus, the white face doesn't show smudges as badly as the black face. I had a white 5, but had decided to go back to black with the 6, but the gray was just too ugly.

Let me guess: you had a white 5 and a black 6.

Space Grey. I have a black wallet case so it would blend in the most. Although color really doesn't matter to me that much honestly.

I got space gray. I wanted white silver. I figured I'd change it up this time. Last two generations I got white silver.

Space grey... Cant beat the all black front. It looks like one giant screen when it's off, and you use a darker wallpaper (like the half moon stock one for example) and blends awesome with the bezels.

Space Gray. Because I prefer the black front more than the white. I previously had the 5s in Gold and I often get distracted with the white front when watching videos.

Gold 64GB. I wanted the Space Grey more but didn't really want to wait weeks to get it and at the time Verizon had the Gold 64 and 128GB's on immediate shipment.

Black/Space Gray

I spent a little over 2 years with a white Samsung Galaxy S3 (which was the better looking of colors offered at the time), so in making the switch, I wanted the black front instead. Plus, it had been a long while since I had a black phone - before the white S3, I had a red myTouch 4g. Matter of fact, I think my last black phone was an all black Motorola Razr, which I loooved.

Similar to my iPad, I really love that the black bezel and the screen are seamless when the screen is off. I like to read in my bed in the evenings and if I have to turn off the light, the black screen doesn't distract from what I am focused on. The black is also more sleek, classy, and simply more grown-up to me.

People tend to stereotype a bit, and say that women go for the white iPhones and men go for the black. I'm a woman and I never gave it a second thought on getting the black/space gray.

Love. This. Phone.
