I like and use Pleco too, but I don't use it enough to count in my top 3...although thanks to this thread, I've now completely switched from Atomic web browser to iCab mobile, which has a MUCH nicer interface and download support.

I also have to add Air Video, which blows the built in streaming of iOS 4.3 away.

app most used:

Mercury browser: fast, great gui, highly functional multi touch navigation.

...in my book by far better than safari, icab and atomic

other than that: todo from appigo

It's a freebie but Wunderlist is hands down my most used productivity app. The ability to have it on my Ipad, iPhone, and multiple computers with syncing is awesome.

what are some examples you do when using LogMeIn Ignition?
Accessed my computer from another country to download about a dozen apps through iTunes that were free for the day. I've sent myself documents through Dropbox. I've set my computer to record a live video stream (and later turned it off when it was done). I put a big note on the screen for my spouse. Finally, I installed and configured an instant messaging app :D. Awesome program.

My single best purchase has been ITV Shows HD. Before, keeping track of the TV episodes I had seen or not was a pain. Sometimes an episode of a show was forgotten about and missed entirely. This app solves both those problems and keeps my household on track. We know when a show is upcoming and are reminded even. We can see descriptions for every show that we watch. We can check off what episodes of a show we have seen (great for catching reruns of The Simpsons so we can see what gaps need filling), and it even lets us know if one of our shows has sadly ended it's run and been cancelled.

Overall a great app that I highly recommend for anyone who watches more then one or two shows on TV.

Other than icab I would say iannotate--for textbooks, annotating and searching through notes, etc

Goodreader and atomic makes the ipad worth more than twice its price to me. Zinio and Zite for the full win

Really tempted to try logmein but the price is scary. Hows does screens compare?

Second LogMeIn Ignition - full remote access back to the Mac (or PC) can be really invaluable, and has saved me on a few occasions.

won't that kill the battery of a laptop though? Having to keep it on and charged in all day every day?

Just one, I don't know, and my needs will likely change as I use the iPad more... But right at the moment I am really happy with Notes Plus, Manage (a to do list app that allows handwriting lists instead of typing), and FlipBoard (although that's free).

Also really glad to have Atomic over Safari, but I haven't checked out any other alternative browsers yet.

Yes, my MacBook Pro battery isn't that great anymore. I can get about three hours of charge. I should have been power cycling my battery but I would just forget. It is plugged in and used as a desktop 99% of the time.

My favorite: Downloads HD

I can download any song I want from the net. This is big. Never have to buy or burn another CD ever again. With an audio chord, i can just plug my iPad/iPhone in and it will play through my car speakers. I just wish the songs would automatically get placed in my iPod. But its no biggie.

Can't believe Flipboard hasn't received one single vote. Allow me to change that. :D

Just realised why Flipboard hasnt received any votes. Doh!!!

However, considering I would gladly pay for Flipboard (that's how great it is!) I stand by my vote! :p

Gotcha. That's why I'm hesitant to buy it unless I purchase a desktop because my old MacBook Pro stayed plugged in all the time and I could barely go 30 minutes without the battery dying off the charge.

Hey, I mentioned FlipBoard four comments before you. :p It's definitely one of the few that I use daily.
