There are two things that Mac OS X needs right now-- Siri integration, and a touchscreen for notebooks. Amazingly, Windows has the lead in both of these areas. And that just should not be....
I am afraid both would be more marketing gimmicks than actually useful features. I find Siri in iPhone almost useless and I don't want to touch my screen. Mouse or trackpad is much better way of controlling Mac.

I would prefer if not a single new feature (especially gimmicky ones like this) were added and all focus was on improved stability instead.

Can I get an amen?

Touch screen laptop is something i have used very limitedly and I was not a fan.is that true for everyone? Maybe not, but I found it downright uncomfortable.

Do I use siri very often on my phone? Not really but I do use it from time to time with generally positive outcome. Do I see myself using it on a computer? Remains to be seen. It would be a totally different way of interacting with my mac than I have used for the last 2 decades. So I am skeptical, but optimistic.

OS X 10.12, new voice command to activate Siri:

- I obey to you the mighty Siri...
- You know, I won't understand your babbling anyway so just do yourself what you were going to do.

I really, really, really, really hope that Apple embeds their own dedicated "V-series" voice-processing chip into both iOS devices and Macs to lessen the dependency of over-the-air processing. Not only would that speed up the processing, it would also lower battery usage for using Siri.

Yes but that might actually work better and cost more -so it would cut into their profit margin. We all know that Apple, of late, is far more interested in stock prices than real customers who use the devices.

I tried to give Siri a second chance this past month but damn, it is so complicated to create an simple event with a name. 9/10 times I said "schedule tomorrow an appointment called "Go to print the invitation" at 16:00" and she just just couldn't get the anything right. Disabled it.

Cue all the complaints about the icon and how Steve is rolling in his grave...

So Siri is bloatware now?

I swear Apple could announce a zero bezel phone with 5 day battery life and people here would complain about it.
Well duh, 5 day battery life is nothing to having a 6 day battery life
