Actually given the photo that came up on the front page, this 14" might be ok.

Any idea if this one is Space Gray or silver? I'm trying to decide if I should have went with Silver or not (ordered space Gray).

That's actually a great question. I just snagged it from the front page so don't have a clue honestly - I would think Space Gray, but it's hard to tell because of the lighting.

I futzed with the white balance and get this. Still would call it more SG than silver.

Yeah, I'd say Space Gray for sure. This photo has gotten me even more excited about receiving it! I hope my shipping time improves!

This was a really tough decision for me. I really love the 14” size - however, I work directly on my MBP screen and ultimately chose the 16”.

Could I work on a 14”? Yes, sure. But I do think 16” will serve me slightly better, even if mobility is a bit worse.

I also went back and forth between sizes, but ultimately I considered the thermals, which seem to be improved in the 16” model. The high-performance mode will be available only on the 16, not on the 14. Since I just need to travel twice per month, I think the trade off with extra weight is well worth it to go with the 16

Coming from MBA 13" -> MBP 13" -> now 2021 MBP 16". Yes 16" is 1.5 lb heavier. This will serve multi-purpose as a workhorse laptop to do my programming work as well as a workout machine :)
At home office I have dual 32" monitors, but when I am on the go the 13" screen is too hard to work with on the train commute. BTW, I'll keep my 13" MBP as a back up for air travel etc as it is still working great after 6+ years.

I want to see both devices before deciding but I suspect the 14" is the one I'll go for as I normally use my laptop with a 34" external monitor at home. Plus it's a pretty big price hike over the 14" to upgrade to the 16".

I went with the silver for this one since my last MBA and MBP were Space Grey.

I think the silver looks a lot nicer in this form factor.

Since I ordered the 14” Pro, I wanted to see if I’d miss the extra 2 inches of screen real estate. I don’t think I will, this 14” looks like the perfect size (at least for me)!

Hopefully this helps others in deciding which size to go with!
Missing the 2” will be your decision only, but the difference is obvious even without the picture. 2” less is 2” less.

I mean, who else’s decision would it be? Everyone has their own needs and unless you’re paying for my computer, I don’t really care what you think?

Does anyone know what the scaled usable resolution is of the 14” to compare to current desktop real estate of the 13.3 inch models?
