The point is not that you can't speak your mind if you've never accomplished something yourself. The point is your thoughts are not entitled to any weight.

And let's be honest here, Tate started off this email chain like as *******. Jobs stayed calm for most of it, but after the swearing childish attitude from Tate, I'm not surprised in the end Jobs responded in a way Tate would understand.

"And you might care about porn when you have kids..."
An assumption made to belittle Ryan.

It may be an assumption but it's not belittling.

"You are so misinformed. [...] You're believing erroneous blogger reports."
Belittling the enemy. Ryan is likely very informed on what happened with Jason Chen.

No he is not. If he was informed he wouldn't have made the false assertion to which jobs was responding.

What a load of garbage, what an utter distortion of reality, portraying apple sub contractors as suicide squads. Have you no shame?
I feel I conveyed the idea of 30 suicide attempts in 9 weeks just fine.

It's moronic how little coverage Foxconn's suicides have received when compared to a few emails sent by Steve Jobs, or Apple's fancy new phone getting leaked.

And of course wise people such as yourself don't have anything better to do than frequent forums of people with warped minds.

There's more to these forums than the fools crying for Jason Chen's head on a platter.

No he is not. If he was informed he wouldn't have made the false assertion to which jobs was responding.

So you know for a fact that the police did not force their way into Chen's house?

i'm glad Jobs supports no porn

Me too.. I totally agree.. I understand that there is a market for it, but it's not the type of market that I think should be so easily accessed to children. Sure, it's very simple for kids to google free porn online and go on their merry lil way...

I very much value how Apple has kept Porn, off of its Apps, and devices. Thats my opinion, and Im sticking to it. And if anyone doesnt like my views on that matter, (or anyone elses on this matter) too friggin bad.

Everyone disagree's with someone, and you cant please everyone.

He didn't claim to steve "police forced the or way into chen's house" so that is not what steve was responding to. Nice try, though.

That Gawker guy has a potty mouth

This frustrated pretend journalist takes things too far and too seriously. He feels compelled to protect Wired magazine from having to do "too much work" to get their rag to the iPad. If Wired wants to play ball on the iPad they have got to use some resources to get in the game. I believe the iPad has sold a million or so pieces. How many PCs are there in the world in comparison? This nerd wants his iPad and all the porn that sits on his PC too. Dude just use your laptop for that and use the iPad for what it is intended. Don't like the way the iPad rolls don't buy one. You are free to decide.

Yet you spend a lot of time posting in the very threads that do?

You're honestly suggesting that because I have a dissenting opinion I shouldn't post in this thread? I think the forum would be a lot less interesting if everyone sat around giving Apple a red rocket.

So a door literally had to have been kicked in for Ryan to have a point? Whatever happened to the world of imagery and phrases? Had the police used a battering ram would you still agree with Steve?

His last reply seemed like a flame to me, IMO. He should have not send the last response.

The fact that Tate felt the need to post a private email exchange for the world to see says a lot more about his character than Jobs' character.

Even more telling is that Tate posted an exchange in which he got verbally spanked by SJ. Not only is he a d*ck, but a stupid d*ck to boot.

Amen!!! Guess they could all sit around and pat each other on the back while gloating how much better they are then the rest of the normal world...lol:D

Gawker seems to be the land of lobotomized monkeys.

I know people seek out their own, but it seems so weird that one organization could assemble such a cess-pool of ignorance and stupidity in one place.

It takes a special talent to pull that off.

Idevices with porn in the software ecosystem?

Is this dude nuts? That would make as much sense as having a giant dildo waterslide at Disney world. Apple is so closely related to Disney now that it would be absolutely idiotic to promote porn as a purchase option. Lol. How would that ad work? "over 200,000 apps and now porn!" *sound of zipper being pulled down* "wank different?".

No, I'm not suggesting you don't post, I'm suggesting you don't call people fools with warped minds for disagreeing with you.

It's not as if your arguments have any merits. Post all you want, like you said, it's fun batting down flies.

Words have meaning. Ryan said something that was not true. Steve jobs corrected him. You claimed that the correction was an insult because Ryan knew the truth. Since what ryan said was not the truth, clearly he was misinformed. It's also true that apple had nothing to do with what the police did, other than reporting a theft.

Being told you are an idiot when you are in fact an idiot is not an insult.

I think in the grand scheme of things, Jobs' is merely trying to look out for the integrity of Apple. If the iPad's most popular function was being a pornography peripheral, it could tarnish it's potential for success in a heart beat.

Another example of the quality “journalists” at Gawker.

Exactly. The tone he took with Jobs doesn't show respect.

Now, this is purely my opinion, but the idea of dropping F-bombs at Jobs (in reference to Apple) is out of line. Look UP to him. If you want to be a bad-a and choose not to do that, then at the very least RESPECTFULLY ask him. Call me old fashioned (honestly, do it...I'll take it as a compliment), but I believe in respectfully asking others questions if I'm putting my real name on something.

It's truly a sad age we live in. People are so brainwashed that they rather have other people make decisions for them instead of thinking for themselves. If you want to go the no porn route, then don't look at porn and monitor your children. Don't let companies say what you can and cannot do with a product you purchased.
Why are you trying to brainwash me into agreeing with your warped ideology? I mean, it doesn't even make any sense. Almost every product you buy has restrictions as to how it can be used. Most books, movies and music are subject to copyright restrictions, so you can't redistribute them. Most physical products come with a warranty that specifies that you cannot modify the product at all or only in very specific ways. Many computer-based products come with far more severe restrictions. E.g. you can only play officially sanctioned PS3 games on a Playstation 3.

If you choose not to buy any product that comes with any form of restriction, you are severely restricting your choices. And I fully support your freedom to follow whatever extremist ideology makes you happy. I just don't understand why you're trying to brainwash me into agreeing with you.

By 'freedom' Jobs means 'restriction'. The guy is sounding more and more like a modern age fascist.

He leads singularly.
He believes his values and belief system are the only ones that are right.
He wages war on opposing technology to his values, shutting them out instead of competing side by side.

Freedom is a two-way street. For instance, I enjoy having the freedom to buy well-designed products that aren't designed by idiots like you. At the same time, I fully support your freedom to display your idiocy in public.

Note: when you call someone like Steve Jobs a "fascist", don't expect to be taken seriously.

Steve ethered that dude with the "what have you done creative lately" line.
