Yes, they are dropping the horrible 'Space Grey' for the new cool 'Ink Black' like the iPhone 4's back and along 'Deep Blue'.

I was asking about this on iMore Facebook page last month. If Apple were to choose another color what would it be? I don't think Space Gray should be dropped from the line up. In fact, If there was no Gold option, Space Gray would have been my next choice. Blue looks a bit deep though, but I think this decision probably has some cultural influence. Just as the company's market research proved that Chinese love Gold (not that my heritage forced me to choose gold, I chose it because its distinct and its nice), but Blue I believe is popular in India.
So Apple is doing its research. Will be interesting to see how this engineered though, especially with the antennae bands.

This is an excellent point, I think mix and match has been a key formulae to the marketing success of these products. The fact that most of the Apple devices from the Watch to the iPad and MacBooks all have matching colors. The decision to drop such as prominent product from the color line up seems far fetched, which probably also makes this story far fetched too. The white and blue will look tacky with the antennae bands.
I think if Apple really were to choose another color for the iPhone, it would be anodized Red. Jony Ive does have an affection for the color. He did create a one of a kind Red Mac Pro for charity which I believe Tony Fadell bought and initially a Red band for the Watch.
Fake. The mockup in the picture is clearly just the White and Gold iPhone 6s, not "Deep Blue and black"
That blue sure looks good. I would not be surprised since they did bring out the rose gold.

Blue over black? Wtf? That's a weird choice. Why keep the gold or rose gold and get rid of the black? I say Keep the black, and replace the rose gold! Black or slate grey is probably the most popular shade for the iPhone. It's classic. It's dare I say, manly? Hope this rumor is false.
I like the opposite: white back with black front--similar to the 5C option.
