This actually looks really nice, and I'd probably consider getting one. The front panel should probably be white.

Now, if they want to drop Space Gray and bring back the slate color from the iPhone 5 (and correct the scruffing/scratching problem obviously), I'd be all about that.

Adding colors, great. Taking away a popular color to add a color, not great. Space Gray is the only black option we have and it doesn't even really please me because it's just slightly darker silver. Bring back the Slate color of the iPhone 5. It was so sleek, so modern. I named my iPhone 5 "Stealth" because it looked like a stealth bomber.

I also don't see why they don't have a front plate color option.

They could have all the colors with the option of Face Plate color as well.

Space Gray with White/Black face plate
Rose Gold with White/Black face plate
Gold with White/Black Face plate
Silver with White/Black face plate.

It would be so nice.

I always thought the Space Gray was kind of weak. Not dark enough, more like silver. I want black, like my beloved BlackBerry black.

I agree it would be nice if you could choose between a white or black front no matter which colour of phone you choose. They should keep all of the colours they have now including the space grey and introduce both the deep blue and slate black.

Please no. There is already 3 phones with the white front and only one with the black.

Unless they move to where you can choose between the two options for all the colors. (The Black/Gold or Black/Rose Gold would be pretty cool)

If they drop the Space Grey it would be a huge mistake for them. I doubt this rummor as well. It is indeed a very popular color. I even got all of my iPhones, iPods, iPads, etc. in this color. And when possible and if available would buy a space grey Mac.

Adding a new deep blue color to the line without dropping any sounds very nice though.

Other companies looking to roll out bendable screens, wireless charging, water/dust proof, iris scanning,

Apple is focusing on watchbands and changing the colour of a 3 year old design that was dated the day it was released and removing a headphone jack so it can be thinner.

I admire the marketing they do, but this is not innovation.

Most likely the 'Deep Blue' if its real will be an additional colour option, not a replacement for Space Gray. Which IMO is Apple's best and classiest looking colour option to date.

Blue would be a nice, muted option and all, but seriously, if Apple yanks "black" (which space gray effectively is standing in for), that seems awfully silly.

It'll certainly bug me, since every one of the 5 iPhone/iTouch devices I've owned has been black or the nearest equivalent, and I've never even considered buying any other color.

I mean, even if you leave everything else aside, the front of the device just looks so much better in black, with the edges of the screen disappearing into the faceplate, and no reflected white contrast making the screen proportionately dimmer if you're using it in bright light.

A recent MR post (https://www.macrumors.com/2016/06/06/ios-10-concept-dark-mode/) had an iPhone image with the light reflected in just a way that the phone did have a dark blue metallic sheen to it, which I thought looked pretty nice. If a new iPhone had a similar color to the metal-blue color the HTC One M7 had, I wouldn't mind that at all.

Considering that many other companies tend to follow after whatever new colors Apple releases (Rose Gold, anyone?) I think a dark blue would be an improvement.

I could've sworn there was a part leak awhile back that was blue. Perhaps a sim tray. I was surprised no one mentioned it then.

Looks nice but I doubt they would get of space grey. That's just dumb.

Apple is planning to introduce a "Deep Blue" color option to replace the Space Gray color option for the upcoming iPhone 7, according to a new report from Japanese website Mac Otakara. The new color will stand alongside the already available Silver, Gold and Rose Gold.

Mac Otakara says Apple plans to discontinue the "Space Gray" color, which was introduced with the iPhone 5s in 2013. The lighter shade replaced the darker slate black used on the iPhone 5. The color has since found its way to other Apple products, like the iPad Air, iPad Pro and 12-inch MacBook.

The Cupertino company has steadily added color options to its iPhone lineup. In 2008, Apple debuted a white color option alongside the black iPhone 3G. The company later renamed the white option Silver with the iPhone 5s, which also saw the debut of the Gold color option. Most recently, Apple added the Rose Gold option with the iPhone 6s.

The report also says the iPhone 7 will keep the same LCD glass surface that current iPhone models employ. This corroborates an earlier report saying that no major display upgrades are expected until 2017, when Apple switches to OLED.

Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7 this September, with recent rumors suggesting the new iPhone will have a design similar to that of both the iPhone 6 and 6s and more radical changes coming to the 2017 iPhone. However, the iPhone 7 may not include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additional features for the iPhone 7 could include a faster A10 chip, waterproofing, adjusted antenna bands, faster LTE and Wi-Fi chips and more.

[doublepost=1465599955][/doublepost]fine for an addition, not for instead. Space Grey is too popular.
