I contacted Jumsoft to see if Relationship would be compatible with Snow Leopard, but they said they haven't begun testing yet. In the meantime I've exported all my client contacts into Apple's regular address book so I'm sure I can get to them after the upgrade.

Does Duet work?

What I haven't found anywhere, and would be a deal breaker for me installing Snow Leopard this weekend, is if the Apogee Duet works with SL, can anyone tell me the status of the situation?

Can someone check:

MacTheRipper
MetaX
Genius
X-Moto
Spore
Hulu Desktop
Podcast Maker

those are some of my more used apps and i was wondering if they worked. Thanks in advanced!

Playback 1.0.4 is extremely buggy under Snow Leopard. The Start/Stop button isn't visible, but clicking on the text works.

The playback is extremely choppy, the program randomly shuts down several times. Streaming is intermittent and quits playback.

Come on Little Snitch…

The Obdev site still says:
Does Little Snitch run on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?

The upcoming Little Snitch version 2.2 will be compatible with Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). A nightly build of Little Snitch 2.2 is already available.

The upgrade is free for current Little Snitch 2.x license owners.
Anyone have any luck with the latest "nightly build"?

Mail.app always crashes

I'm using 10A432 that I downloaded as torrent and everything is running great and faster except for Mail.app that always crashes on startup. Is anyone else experiencing this? I don't know what to do as I didn't backup my Leopard system. Can i do a downgrade from the DVD without losing anything on the computer? And what do I do to keep Mail alive in Snow Leopard (even if I buy the retail copy) if 10A432 is the build coming out to stores, anyway?

My major concerns are Lostify and visual hub, everything else I can work around. Any conformation of these two apps?

Well, you just learned the hard way that backups are your friend.

Can i do a downgrade from the DVD without losing anything on the computer?
Unfortunately, no. But you can still copy all your Mail.app data files (wherever they reside), reinstall 10.5, and then reconfigure mail to look at those files...assuming they didn't get upgraded in some way by the 10.6 Mail.app that would make them incompatible with 10.5 Mail.app.

I have Steer Mouse and it seems to work fine. And also I wouldn't expect an update for Snow Leopard, at least not anytime soon.

That's funny, because the developer of SteerMouse says it only works in 32-bit mode and that a 64-bit version will be out in September.

damn SRS iWOW doesnt work :( my music experience!!

Just have to wait for a few weeks for an update hopefully

I was hoping for a 4.0 for CandyBar; I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet, and I don't want to get a 3.x then have to pay for an upgrade license is a 4.x is around the corner.

Decisions...

How to tell if you have any PowerPC apps that might require Rosetta install

Here is a way to tell if you have any apps that are only PowerPC, hence don't have a chance of working on Snow Leopard without Rosetta. In a terminal window type the following:

cd /Applications (don't type any of this in parentheses -- just put wherever you want to look)
find . -exec file {} \; | grep "Mach-O executable ppc" | grep -v "for architecture ppc"

If you get any permission errors you might need to preceed the "find" command with sudo and supply an admin password. So you can make a list of things that you will likely need to install the Rosetta option during the upgrade if you still need them.
