Can someone please check Dreamweaver 8?

I know it's old, but if it at least works I would be very happy.

Could someone check if Safari Tidy works? It should work fine in Safari 4 (a simple SIMBL plugin), so I don't think the Snow will change that much, but I'd like to be sure before installing it.

Thanks in advance

Dreamweaver 8, Photoshop CS2 broken

Just done a Snow Leopard Install. I selected rosetta to install as I have a number of app.s that are now older than a few years including these two.
Unfortunately these app.s at least for now do not work correctly. Having done some basic testing of Photoshop CS2, just cropping an image and doing a save as caused it to quit [and not save]. Dreamweaver 8 also random quits when trying to open a site I am building.
As I cannot afford to update these two app.s for the extortionate prices that Adobe charges, I am now rolling back to Leopard. I'll use my Snow install disk on my home theatre computer, but it looks like I am stuck on Leopard for my MacBook until I sort out my website designing project [at least].

The Snow Leopard Wikidot says Quicksilver b56a7 works fine with 10.6.

That isn't my experience. It crashes continuously. I've tried removing the entire Quicksilver folder from Application Support, thus starting fresh, but the application still crashes.

Anyone else having problems? Any ideas for a fix?

I'm not using it extensively, but it hasn't crashed here after a upgrade install.

Some people claim MacPar Deluxe is working fine, but I can't even start the program. It just disappears again. I tried the 32bit hack on their site, but to no avail... anybody got the same problem or maybe better, an answer?

Any word on Final Cut Express 3.5.1? I'm in the middle of a project, and have no intention of upgrading to FCE 4, which apparently works fine with Snow Leopard. I would hate to see the app broken by the OS X upgrade.

Protools LE 8 loaded fine
Mbox 2 pro no hitch

Bloomberg Anywhere fine

trading software,etc.. everything works except istat menubar

I was a little worried about Painter X and Snow Leopard, but it seems to be working fine. Poser 7 seems to load alright (though I haven't done any renders with it, just opened it). Fontlab Studio 5.0.4 seem fine as well.

One casualty so far: Carrara Pro 6. But since this program is at least three years old, I'm not all that surprised. I don't use it all that much, but I may upgrade to Carrara 7 (once I check on compatibility with Snow Leopard) when the funds become available, just to be on the safe side.

iTunes seems sluggish to me in SL.

Has anyone been able to get the Citrix client to work?

Another thing I noticed is that Firefox 3.5.2 seems to like to crash a lot...has anyone else had this? I've heard 3.5.2 was somewhat unstable in the past, but I'm curious to know what others have experienced.

Reading all this gives me a big head ache.

I mean seriously, what did those developers do the past half year?
It mostly seems to me that they have issues with the 32/64bit modes.

Now suddenly everybody is waking up and is like ****, Apple didn't take care of it, we have to do it ourselves. Not like the whole friggin world is talking about SL since the beginning of the year and now even the users are coming and demanding a working and compatible app. I mean what is going on here?

Like those Xmarks guys. At first it took them 2 years to get a version for Safari, and Internet Explorer out. Then the Safari 4 beta came out, even while SL betas where being handed out by Apple. It took them again longer than the release of Safari 4 to fix it and now SL is out and they are like, f*** we didn't see it coming? Why didn't they fix it for Safari 4 on SL so it be out of their way by now? Probably because they were to lazy to find a better solution than the stupid 32bit simbl input manager, with code injection, which is known as bs anyway.

I dunno, I just don't see the blame on Apple. They have at least reached out for a long time now and at least "we" have the chance of running 32bit apps in 64bit environment and vice versa, not like in M$ versions.
If a developer hopes it code lasts for the sake of times than he/she should at least make sure it wasn't a crappy solution in the first place.

Anyhow, I just hope the talking leads into working and therefore changing things for the better. So far waiting and drinking tea might be a choice for most users?

Maybe we can sum up the thread to a usable and updatable list and distinguish between 32bit and 64bit mode, plz?
