does anyone know about the status of audio apps like MAX/MSP, Reaktor, Super Collider, Logic, Pro Tools etc?

I am thinking that I should wait until after my month long trip to install SL, just in case there are some application problems.

Note that just about everything should work. SL boots with the 32-bit kernel so your kexts should work fine. What won't work are things that attach to SL apps - like Safari Adblock - since the SL apps are 64-bit, that code needs to be 64-bit too...

Quicksilver - haven't tried
Dropbox - haven't tried
Evernote
Office for mac 2008 - runs 32-bit - no problem
iWork 2009 - runs 32-bit - no problem
MSN messenger for mac (dont care much, adium will do)
Skype - haven't tried
Handbrake - haven't tried
Parallels 4.0 - haven't tried - but VMWare 2.05 works fine
iSquint/ ffmpegX - Visualhub runs 32-bit fine
clamXav - haven't tried
Audacity - haven't tried
Age of mythology lol
HP printer software (a man can dream, cant he) - Lexmark printer drivers were downloaded automatically (must be a new feature). I didn't have to install anything

Additional things i have in my system preferences:

Logitech Control Center - I use Steermouse for my Nano Vx. Works fine
Flip4Mac - Works fine. I got the 2.3.0.7 beta but 2.2.0.49 worked fine
Growl - haven't reinstalled it yet
Mac Fuse - Works fine
Perian - Works fine
SynergyKM - haven't tried

The VPN you're connecting to doesn't work with SL's builtin Cisco IPSec support?

I'm just waiting on my workplace to setup our VPN on new hardware that will work with SL (and the iPhone VPN) so I can dump the Cisco piece of crap.

Native Cisco VPN support is in SL? Like the iPhone's support? Superb!

The Cisco VPN Client works... okay... but its general crapitude makes me angry whenever I have to fire it up.

Roll on Friday...

I would love to hear more about the native VPN in Snow Leopard since my company uses Cisco VPN client and it is honestly a piece of crap. Anyone have any details on it?

Has anyone tried Office 2004 and Photoshop CS2 (via Rosetta obviously) and Lightroom 1?

Thanks.

Anyone used Eclipse and/or Netbeans for Java 6 development on SL? I'm currently migrating a Java 5 Swing (using Eclipse IDE) app to Java 6 on Netbeans 6.7.1 (used as app RCP and dev IDE).

Tweetie Works without problem
NetNewsWire 3.1.7 Works
MenuCalenderClock works

Safari Plugins
Glims works but the settings menu empty (32-bit mode only)
SafariStand Works (32-bit mode only)

I haven't tested it myself as I don't have the SL beta, but Scrivener works according to the developer himself:

Confirmation of Scrivener compatibility with Snow Leopard.

However, if Office 2008 has speed issues, this is a significant problem for me. Is it to do with 32-bit vs 64-bit computing? I don't quite understand how that works or how SL switches between them. Can someone fill me in?

Quicksilver, Office, Audacity are fine. I hear logitech needs an update but a possible workaround;

Select "Show Package Contents" for the Logitech Control Center Installer. Navigate to Contents > Resources > Logitech Control Center.mpkg and open the installer.

Eclipse 3.6 Stream integration build seems to be working fine. Downloaded from: http://download.eclipse.org/eclipse/downloads/

About Netbeans only tried the last nightly build and seems to work fine even with some plugins.
