here's a SS of it on my computer (the only thing I did was open it in paint and erased my email so I don't get spam)

EDIT: Why the hell would I make up a fake email where Steve is bashing me? Doesn't make any sense

Actually my email was mostly about how I called the CS 5 times and the first time I was promised that my item will ship the next day, at which point it obviously did not (there is no way in hell CSRs can know when it will ship) so I called anyways to ask and every time I called they gave me a different story. Only the last part of my email was a complain about how when I did ask about (not for) a reimbursement for the inconvenience, the CSR told me Apple has no such policy, which is bs, like I mentioned before, since quite a few of the macrumor members reported that they did in fact got some.

And you guys can attack me all you want. I did post this, because a) I found it interesting that he did actually reply b) he contradicted his employees, because he did in fact admit the order was delayed and c) denied apple gives freebies, when it does

Dang, Steve jobs never replied to me the 6+ emails I asked him why the screen scratches so easily lol.

OP, post your email for context.

He (whoever reads/answers his emails) probably saw the title and thought it was serious issue with CS, but then realized it was just someone crying over not getting their iPad yet. There are millions upon millions of people who want their iPads. You aren't special. Once you realize how many other people are in the same position as you, you realize that demand is the real issue and not the customer service.

So I emailed Steve Jobs (sjobs@apple.com) telling him about all the bs I got from his Customer Service about why people that ordered after me already got their ipads while mine was not even shipped and how they gave free items to some, but denied that to me and here's what I got:

an obvious lie, since so many members here did get "freebies"

Want cheese with that whine?

denied apple gives freebies, when it does

its an un-written policy, every company has one and he's not going to admit to that.

When I used to work for Home Depot years ago, they had a policy that every employee knew about that if a customer complained about the price or service (etc...) that an employee on the floor could discount a product up-to $50 to satisfy the customer without getting a manager/supervisor involved (also depending on the retail price, something what was $80 can not be lowered to $30 but can to $70).

Do you think that policy was written anyone around the store so that a customer would be aware of it, of course not, and if a customer ever told me that he knew that and wanted a discount, I would deny every know that policy and would deny the discount.

So by you saying that others are getting "freebies" and you wanted some incentive for your troubles more likely made them not want to give you anything.

Actually, it's still in your post at the top of this page. It's the exact same screenshot.

Without headers, it's impossible to verify its authenticity. I could easily spoof an email to appear it was sent from Steve Jobs, or President Obama, or God himself.

Oh, I know that. :)

I was referring to the fact that if he wanted the screenshot removed, why on earth would he have left the link in his earlier post?

If it's real, I'll eat crow. I just don't believe it is until I see it.

I edited my post so my email/skype are blacked out. In yours, however (since you hosted it) its the old 1 where my email is showing. So can you please remove it already... i fixed the links on my post

Honestly, I wasn't expecting him to reply. Plus, he is full of s*** , because he knows damn well people got freebies. And sorry for being frustrated about not getting my order (12:46), while others who ordered an hour later got theirs already

Your fault for not standing in line. "ooo online orders are so much smarter than people whi stand in lines. We will be comfortably waiting at home while you guys stand in the cold" well I'm pretty sure it's the other way around now.

LOL Jobs sent it from his prototype iPad 3 just to rub it in for the op.

Don't know if it is really jobs though. HOwever, he's said in the past "we're shipping as fast as we can" regarding the White iPhone 4 in the attenagate keynote so I actually think the reply has substance

Actually I did stand in line for my iPhone 3gs and I was second in line at my store. For my iphone 4 i spent 5 hours clicking but I did end up getting it a day early... so yes, usually ordering online does pay off since I was rocking my iPhone 4 before others were even in line to get it .... so yes, it it smart and convenient. And some of us don't have the time (especially during midterm season here) to go and stand in line... Believe me, If I did have the time I would have, because I love the atmosphere
