Has he posted the headers yet? I still can't believe people are calling customer service and emailing because their iPad is still on time according to the time frame you ordered it....I know we are all excited but come on, why exactly are you complaining? This thread is kinda dumb Steve jobs has more important things to do, but atleast his reply is fake and he really didn't read that crazy annoying email!
 
I've said it already (maybe in a different post) but I'll repeat it again. I called because my neighbor who ordered the exact same thing (after me) got his shipping info on Saturday (i believe) and got his delivered on Thursday, while mine, which was ordered at 12:46, was still showing "not yet shipped" (changed to prepared to ship 2 hours ago). I called in on Tuesday and I was told that mine will ship tomorrow (wednesday) for sure. So because I was suspicious of this guy's promise and it was already the next day I called to see what's going on since I was told my order would ship by then. And then the BS began which is why I kept calling and kept getting different stories.

And not to bring your hopes down, but according to CSRs the 5th day is actually Friday... Apparently they don't count last Friday, because they are "cool" like that...

So I believe any normal person would understand why I would be mad when THE SAME EXACT ORDER was shipped and delivered next door to me, while I wasn't even allocated an iPad with my name on it by that point.

Wow this site has some pitiful members. Thread after thread, post after post the theme is the same.

He only cares that he hasn't gotten his yet because someone else already got theirs. He only wants something free becuase other people got something free.

In other posts people think they should of held back the release until they had more stock. Why? That way everyone would not have one, instead of just them.

I wasn't expecting anything for free, I was just asking why some people are getting it (free covers/keyboards/$100) and CSRs were denying that it was going on. The main focus of the email was to ask why the hell were all the different CSRs giving me different stories about my shipping info and denying it was delayed. While Steve Jobs admitted it was delayed, he didn't comment as to why I was being told different things

Yeah he's too busy counting his money and finding ways to further inflate his ego before he dies. He's not a nice guy... and not consumer-friendly despite the fact he's the grandfather of Apple and has a legion of blind faithful sheep (like those posting Jobs lovin in this thread, regardless of his response). God forbid consumers want satisfaction from the company they decide to do business. HOW DARE THE CONSUMER... $TEVE JOB$ RULES!

he could tell the whole world to **** off on TV and people would still flock to him. He is who he is and people will still buy Apple products regardless.

Anyone who thinks this is actually a Steve Jobs response is quite frankly, retarded.

Jobs would never give this lengthy of a reply to one customer, and the reply would not be so bluntly negative. A CEO understand customer service, that is why he is CEO.

Seriously, I feel sorry for everyone in this thread and reading who thinks that SJ actually replied to this fool. There is no proof of any email coming from an actual Apple email address. Really, if you need proof, you are dumb anyways.

His life was hard. Money was short. A freebie is always welcomed, deservedly or not. This is what I deduct from the thread.
But somehow it's all Apple fanboys' fault lol.
 
Hey OP, I have a question.

Did the CS rep say that it "will" ship or that it "should" ship? These are two very different words and "should" only implies that there is a possibility that it might not. To be honest, I have never been given a firm ship date from a CS agent.

As for the e-mail, you were way out of line and if that was SJ that responded he is correct. You'll get your IPad when you get it. If you are not happy with that answer then simply cancel and move on to something else.
 
Honestly, I wasn't expecting him to reply. Plus, he is full of s*** , because he knows damn well people got freebies. And sorry for being frustrated about not getting my order (12:46), while others who ordered an hour later got theirs already

Do you cry and throw a hissy fit when someone in a restaurant gets their food before you? Seriously, your attitude is that of an 8 year old.
 
I find it funny that the Op thought by posting this email exchange that he would elicit some sympathy over his not being able to secure an iPad 2 and Steve Jobs reply not being what he wanted to hear.

People put this stuff on the Internet. Nobody forced him to start this thread. A similar example is the girl at UCLA with the racist rant. She actually uploaded the video herself. It wasn't hacked from her computer. She uploaded and wanted to share. Now this thread is in no way offensive like the UCLA girl. Just funny and silly.
