Man my biggest wait is A2DP .... Did anyone try stereo bluetooth streaming from iphone.... I have been waiting for this for so long ... Please someone confirm .... If it works I will get the GM now ....

I have been using the motorola H305 and have not had any issues at all. Love them.

Are you on a Mac? I just put mine in the "Downloads" folder, made sure to sync my iPhone one last time, clicked "Option", Restore and selected the file from the download folder. Ran into a little hiccup during the restore though. When my phone re-booted, it thought my phone was brand new and gave me the choice to register the phone for the first time or restore it. I chose restore not knowing if it was going to restore 2.2.1 or 3.0, but it restored from 3.0 and seems to work pretty well. Damn location box keeps popping up though for all the applicable apps every time I go into them (Do you want to use your current location) Other than that, works great so far.:D

I just upgraded using a PC and the exact same things happened to me. But all is good! :D

Everything is working fine for me on 3.0. The only issue is in the iTunes app, when I preview a Movie, it gives me the "file format is not supported error." Anyone else having this issue?

Yah, they are probably scrambling to encode everything for the iPhone.

I finally got it to work. The file I got from megaupload didn't work, but the torrent a certain awesome person PM'd me did.

My iPhone is restoring as I type this.

Hm, can anyone who has 3.0 check movie previews in the itunes app. When I try it says "This movie format is not supported".

EDIT:Looks like #155 beat me to it

do you need the newest itunes to do this?? im pretty sure my copy is legit but how can i be sure?

yes, you have to be on the latest version of iTunes. you know if it's legit if the name is "device"_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw and it's around 230 mb in size. change "device" to one of the following

iPhone - iPhone1,1
iPhone 3G - iPhone1,2
iPod Touch 1G - iPod1,1
iPod Touch 2G - iPod1,2

Just finished everything on my 2G Touch. Works great, no problems. The first backup took almost 25 minutes, but since then all backups are pretty quick. Now im just debating about putting it on my phone tonight. hmmm:rolleyes::confused:

Previews work on my iPod Touch 2G

I did the upgrade earlier today and have noticed a small bug in the copy/paste feature, once in a while I notice it will double the world. For example if I type iPhone it will popup with the copy paste and then put iPhoneiPhone. Did that a few times to me tonight. Otherwise I like it alot!!!

Try unplugging it from the computer and then plugging it back in. Your Itunes will have to restore it.

So I keep hearing that using/swiping to search page lags and when you exit apps the fading isn't that smooth....has anyone experienced these problems and also what other problems/bugs have been noticed?

ya i have that. overall im not impressed with 3.0 tbh

I've found it to be snappier than 2.2.1 and a lot more smooth. Horizontal texting is magnificent! :D

I have not experienced any lag at all. So far actually I have not noticed any slow downs or lag and things are running good.

I have already downloaded the file.....alt clicked on "check for updates" and now what?? I can't seem to find the file to select.

you need to hold down option and click restore (on a Mac) or hold down shift and click restore (on a PC) and then a window will pop up. navigate to your file and select it. it will start restoring and when it's done you'll be on 3.0. what's device are you installing it on?

What in the world does this do? [Source: iPhone 3.0 Settings]

it blocks your sim card. in case you loose your phone whoever finds it will not be able to use your sim card ( eg. leaving you a huge bill to pay )
hope this helps
;)
