I think you're misinterpreting what I'm asking. I know you cannot send MMS (there isn't even a way to do this right now), I'm asking what happens when we RECEIVE an MMS.

so i'm finally done restoring my back up and putting my media back on the ipod and i found some new features/differences. i'll keep adding to this as i find more.
• on previous versions, whenever i restored from a back up, the original apple applications would go back to the position they were at before the restore but the app store applications wouldn't. now, app store applications go back to their position from before the restore
• applications no longer install on the first page, even if you have an open space. it automatically goes to the last page.
• also, if you only have one iTunes account tied to you're iPod/iPhone, you can still re-download apps on the fly without paying again.
• the push notification settings for mail has been moved to the mail, contacts, and calendars menu in setting instead of being on the main settings menu.
• the options under "Add New Field" when inserting a contact is not segmented and you can now add important dates (i.e. anniversaries, i think this is new but i'm not sure) and you can am IM usernames to contacts

I was wondering if anyone was having trouble viewing previews of movies from the itunes store. It says "movie format is not supported". I find that strange since the store is made for the iphone/ipod touch, it would have a preview in a format compatible with the device(s).
Definitely interesting...
Anyone else?

if you already have it, how do they know you didn't pay for it? do they look into your iTunes purchase history or something?
Good point, but for all we know there might be a slight update to the build version next week.
Are you on a Mac? I just put mine in the "Downloads" folder, made sure to sync my iPhone one last time, clicked "Option", Restore and selected the file from the download folder. Ran into a little hiccup during the restore though. When my phone re-booted, it thought my phone was brand new and gave me the choice to register the phone for the first time or restore it. I chose restore not knowing if it was going to restore 2.2.1 or 3.0, but it restored from 3.0 and seems to work pretty well. Damn location box keeps popping up though for all the applicable apps every time I go into them (Do you want to use your current location) Other than that, works great so far.
i thought landscape was supposed to work on all apple applications. youtube isn't going into landscape and it gets annoying because in youtube you have to keep switching back and forth from portrait (while browsing menus) to landscape (while watching a video)

no one can tell you where to get it; you can't talk about that stuff in here. You have to find your own way. google helps
To anyone who is thinking about trying this, I can't stress enough, make sure your phone isn't jailbroken, make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and above all, don't forget to sync your phone one last time to itunes
From what I understand is your ispw is automatically detecting itself to a zip file or rar file.... So when u try to shift select you wont see the file...
The solution I can think of is ... my computer > Tools > View > then uncheck hide extentions for known File types .... now go to the ispw and remove the .zip or .rar file type...
This might not help you ask I might have not understand your exact problem.... But give it a try...!!!
What i did was go into safari settings and made it so it doesnt automatically open up the file as a folder. Now when i go under my downloads i just right click and change it from zip to ipsw
works fine for me!
I am tempted to get it now, but I love the anticipation of waiting until next wednesday!

Man my biggest wait is A2DP .... Did anyone try stereo bluetooth streaming from iphone.... I have been waiting for this for so long ... Please someone confirm .... If it works I will get the GM now ....
