Just got a 44mm aluminum GPS only as a walk-in at Apple Store in Victor, NY. Caught a glimpse of the reservation screen when they were making an appointment for me - looked like they had plenty of different models in stock.

Interesting that people are getting stock by walking in but the Apple online has none in stock and istock also.

I am assuming they arent updating for launch day.

They did that for the MacBook Pro, stores had them just didn't reflect it online.

I showed up at 7am to the Sacramento, CA store expecting to see a long line. Only saw about 10 people. I was greeted by an apple employee and they reserved a 44mm Space Black SS Watch. Came back at 8:30 and picked it up. They appeared to have plenty in stock

I just walked into the Georgetown apple store and picked up a 44mm SB SS with Milanese loop. I thought they were messing with me when they said they had it in stock, given how rare stock seems to be. They also had the sport band model. Cancelled my b&h order

Greenville, SC store opened at 8am today. I showed up at 12pm, small line outside. I was able to get my Apple Watch S4 40mm GPS only. They had a lot of watches still in stock 4+ hours after opening but not everything obviously. Waited in the line for 30 minutes or so until I was able to checkout with an Apple employee. Very pleased.
I have always had success walking into the Greenville store. It seems like they get good stock and there isn’t a huge amount of demand in the area.

Same. I went to the Apple Store in Nebraska (theres only one :p) and they had plenty of SS stock - even at 5PM.

I went to Sherway Gardens in Toronto looking for a SS 44mm Milanese. They had a bunch of others in stock, but not this one. I called Eaton Centre later in the afternoon and they were out of both SS 44mm models. Hoping for some luck this weekend, but not counting on it.

Fort Worth store did not get any stainless steel sport band models; silver or black. I was 2nd in line and had to go Silver Milanese.

I can vouch for this, as I was first in line right ahead of him, and wanting the same watch......:) Both of us took the opportunity to give feedback to Apple on their sketchy "first come first served" method. A half dozen employees with devices spread themselves down the line and each took a few customers. It is possible that someone quicker down the line snagged our 44 SS white sport bands despite our being in line hours earlier.....

I stopped into the Providence, RI store around 7pm. There was still a line for timed order pick-up. I asked about Apple Watches. Nothing. The person I spoke with said it's better to order online. I've already done that. Mine should ship the third week of October. It wasn't a wasted trip. I got to look at the display models. Part of me wants one and the other part kept thinking "save the thousand $". I'll buy an AW but I won't spend the money for a crown on my tooth. Priorities...

So, should Apple start showing if stores have inventory?

I walked into my apple store, Jacksonville Florida, and bought a 44 SS Gold Stone Sports Band at 4:40 pm. No pre-order, no hassle. Luck of the draw. I suppose it just depends on the store and a lil luck ;)

Anybody know how often the my get deliveries? They now have a 44 gold stainless that they did not have yesterday but not the 40.

Hopefully Houston locations start showing that as well.
I’m in the woodlands, and those stores are showing certain models available for pickup now. Grabbed me a regular SS. That one seems to be in the shortest supply around here. Almost every store had the gold ss available.

If they don’t have what you want online, go to the store anyway. I’m in line for a watch that showed as unavailable online, but they have it available for walk-in.

Awesome...i just checked and memorial and sugar land are showing them as well...I currently have the SS but the saw gold SS in person yesterday and it looks pretty sweet

My wife had no problem getting ours at the local apple store yesterday early-ish morning. She did a walk in. Though pre-order line had about 6-8 people continually in line, it was just her and another gal in the walk in line, so about 2-3 at a time at most when she was there. They had 3-4 pre order people get dealt with to every one of the walk ins. It seemed like it was a way for Apple to make it look like you should have pre ordered. Store wasn't that busy either.

Far as I'm concerned, if your there walking in to buy something they should be helping people first come basis. Whether pre-order or not. Were they going to make people buying Macbook Airs wait too? (maybe did, dunno). MacRumors and other sites that cling to Apples every whim make it sound like it's huge lines etc. In reality, it's not at most places. My wife & I walked in to Apple and to a carrier store in the past on launch days and bought iphones, where the online places were saying how backed up it was.

I called apple store in portland and was told they will get some in stock in oct.

When I went to Bridgeport to pick my watch up. The guy said they're supposed to get a large drop shipment today (they don't know what type though). If you're looking for one, you should try today or tomorrow and see if you have any luck.
