SSSB just came in stock in Walt Whitman in LI, NY! I grabbed it but I had to reserve a time tonight which I am not sure I can make. Does anyone know if I can show up tomorrow?

I wasn’t see much inventory in the nyc area but then I saw stainless steel show up in queens. Then I found one closer to where I live. Going to get that now.

When you get the confirmation to pickup, I believe there will be a date in which you need to pick it up by.

In St. Louis. I walked in and picked up a cellular gold ss yesterday and then exchanged it this afternoon for the black aluminum 44mm cellular model. Here they seemed to at least a few of the sport band models in some colors. Nothing that I saw in the sport loop and I wasn't looking for the metal bands.

Apple Watch Series 4 GPS + Cellular, 44mm Space Black Stainless Steel Case with Space Black Milanese Loop

This didn't show up in Apple's stock when I checked a few times this morning. I guess it updates throughout the day.

My Experience as well getting my SBSS 44mm w/ sport band tonight

It popped up at 1:30 pm. I just happen too look and it said available...without thinking I hit  pay. Lol

Got 40mm SBSS Milanese at store's opening and their iPad w/ stock checker app already shows some units with yellow check (low stock) and red x for no stock. that was launch day Sept 21 10AM.

Apple anticipated demand but we showed them! we showed them real good! 38mm SS BSB S0 owner here

Exactly the same here, ~1:30pm ... now happy owner of SBSS 44 w/sports band

A lot of stores came up with stock later in the afternoon. Don't give up if you don't see anything available first thing in the morning. Surrounding store updated around 3-4pm Central, and my local store followed right up after that.

I second this. This is how I snagged one today, and was able to cancel my 10/2-10/9 preorder.

I was checking all morning and saw nothing in my area (44mm SS white sport band, one of the hardest to find). I used istocknow. I zoomed out to all of California so I could see what the stocking pattern was. I noticed some stores far away receiving stock of the watch I wanted right after lunch. So I kept checking regularly (and set a notification, but didn't rely on it). A 3 pm, my local store got a delivery of the model I wanted. I went to Apple.com, tapped my favorite, set for local store pickup, and tapped Apple Pay quickly. Then I picked a "pickup window" and I was done. They sold out just minutes later. It's on my wrist now and looking great!

How accurate is Apple’s site? Trying to track down a Hermes model in Chicago...

use istocknow and enable notifications. that way you dont have to check as often.

once it sends a notification it has a link for buy now... really comes in handy.

I ordered a 44mm Gold Aluminum with Pink Sand Sport band in the online Apple Store yesterday and picked it up last night. I think that's the best way to go. I had intended to use a third party band anyway (the same $15 Milanese loop I used with my Series 1), so I found the model the local store had in stock in the finish I wanted and then just didn't use the band.

Posted this in another thread. Was part of 10/15 - 10/22 shipping window. Kept checking istocknow.com each day since 9/21. I live in NYC/NJ area and each store within 50 miles, stock slowly decreased as expected until yesterday night when it seemed most stores had no stock. Assumed a few stores would restock by this AM and boy did they...or at least in one store. Cancelled my order and reserved Silver SS 40mm for pick up for later today. Check istocknow.com!!
