Yeah I don't get it either. How hard could it be
Same here, if this will never be updated, please let us know.
Probably a good idea to email the developer if you want to find that out.
Amidst all the iOS 7 jailbreak drama, has anyone noticed yet that libstatusbar got updated this morning?
I updated it (a batch of 13 updates at the time) and voila! Weather in the status bar again.
Don't know if it works for iOS 7, but it sure as heck is working in iOS 6!
Take a look at the top right of my screenshot!

Yeah, I had that issue. I have both Forecast and WeatherIcon 6. My research indicates that WeatherIcon 6 gets it's weather data from the Weather app, or at least from the same place Weather app does. I mean the stock weather app, not the Yahoo Weather app.I'm super pumped that libstatusbar has been updated. I now have the current weather and temperature showing in my status bar, however it doesn't seem to be auto updating. Have you noticed that issue? Or anyone else reading this post?
I have "every 15 minutes" selected in the weather widget settings panel, but that is under the lockscreen clock submenu, so not sure if it applies to the status bar also. The auto updating worked on the lockscreen clock, however I believe the lockscreen clock weather functionality was provided by the "Forecast" tweak.
If anyone has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them.

Anyway, I made sure that Location services for the Weather app was on. And I opened the weather app and left it open. I have a tendency to nuke apps when I'm done using them. I think doing that kills whatever process is going on in the background. So I just stopped doing that. If I leave an app, I just let it close normally now. After deciding that the weather has been keeping up with the weather that Forecast draws. So, if you're in the habit of shutting down all your apps at once - don't.
That's what worked for me anyway.
You might try installing iCleaner Pro and having it do it's maintenance thing. One of the things it does is delete cache files.Hmm. Interesting. Thanks for the input. I actually have the bad habit of never killing an app. I just let them take their natural course. So, I'm not sure if that solution will work, although I guess what you're saying means I would need to launch the stock weather app after every reboot/respring. I'll give that a try and see what happens.
I updated libstatusbar yesterday afternoon and I noticed the issue this morning when I woke up and checked the temperature. It was 64 degrees yesterday when I installed it, and it was 34 degrees this morning when I woke up, but the status bar was still saying 64, and actually, now that I think about it, the stock weather app's icon was also saying 64, even though it used to auto update too before I updated libstatusbar.
I guess I'll just have to try some different things and see what happens.
Because everyting is set up the way I want it, and since by tweak or by app I can do everything that iOS 7 can do and somewhat better in some regards AND my interface is themed the way I want it I decided to stay on iOS 6.Just installed and tried on iOS 7, does not work. Why are you still on iOS 6 if you don't mind me asking?

It could be that there is a weather cache file that hasn't been updated and that's what's being read from.
I've had to do that a few times with the Forecast tweak as well. But now that I'm not killing all the apps when I leave I haven't had to do that.
So, this may be just a one time thing (iCleaner Pro).

I have a habit of not likeing to change things once I get them all set up. Right now, iOS 7 has no Gridlock, no black Winterboard themes, and quite a few of my other tweaks. I realize they will eventually be updated, but I'm enjoying my phone as it is now. I don't feel like playing the wait for updates game just to get back to the functionality/GUI I already have, particularly when this is a phone upgrade year for me (iPhone 6). I'll be having to do that all over again with the iPhone 6 anyway.
Just a personal thing.
I have mine set a bit differently (iCleaner Pro), but yeah, that should work. It will want to respring when done, which is fine.Okay, thanks. I actually have purchased iCleaner Pro however I have not used it since (at least on OS X) those "cleaner" apps tend to do more harm than good and wreak havoc on the OS and important system files from what I've heard many times. Although, I've never personally had a "cleaner" app mess up my system.
So I should just open iCleaner Pro, switch off everything except "cache files" and hit the "clean" button in the top right corner?

I wholeheartedly agree with you here. Not only do I not like how iOS 7 looks, but I can do anything that iOS 7 does on iOS 6 via tweaks and I've already got my phone set up exactly the way I want with way more than 200 tweaks installed. It would take me days to get iOS 7 set up the way iOS 6 is and with no real benefits. I would just be back to where I am now.

Yeah, I was hoping for iOS 7 with a black theme. Unfortunately, it seems that Apple will probably patch iOS 7 before a black theme arrives. There's just some tweaks that not having working now in iOS 7 are dealbreakers for me.
I don't "love" iOS 6, but I like it better than iOS 5 and if I have still have to suffer the iOS 7 white/multicolored puke interface even with a jailbreak, I don't see a point. But again, that's just me.
Do you have any restrictions set for Location Services? In General>Restrictions.May I ask how you have your iCleanerPro set? I ran the "analyze" function and it said I could recover 2.7 GB of space, which would be nice if it didn't mess anything up.
I just cleaned the cache files, resprung and now the info in the status bar doesn't update even after opening the stock weather app, letting it update and then waiting a few minutes.
Also, I checked in the location services menu and it says the weather app has not used my location recently, which is weird because I looked at it immediately after opening the stock weather app to the "current location" page.
I actually emailed the dev of Weather Icon 6 about this issue and he said it's likely a bug but that he is currently busy with LockInfo so he won't have time to address it right now. Oh well.
I really want/need to be able to see the current temperature from the lockscreen when I wake up, so I guess at this point I'm going to reinstall Forecast. It provided exactly what I need. I just prefer the info to be in the status bar instead of taking up space on the lockscreen clock and making the clock smaller. Also, I have a custom font for the clock and it's not possible to specify a custom font for the clock when using Forecast.
This is definitely feeling like one of those "first world problems". Haha. I feel so privileged to be able to even be worried about something like this!

I used to have mine set to not allow. But after having issues of NOTHING updating I set it to allow.
This is the only other thing I can think of. I have both Forecast and this tweak installed and both are working for me.
I will see if I can get you some screenshots of iCleaner soon.
OK, here is how it's set on mine
You're welcome and you're welcome. Glad I could help.I do have restrictions set for location services, but in that settings page I have it set to allow Weather. The only restricted apps are a few 3rd party ones I have installed. And all the services I have set to allow do work properly, including the stock weather app. And the forecast tweak, not that it's in the location services restrictions menu.
Are you saying I should disable the restrictions menu altogether and let any app do anything? I really don't want to do that because there are certain 3rd party apps that I just don't want having access to my photos, contacts, etc.
I tried messing around with the status bar portion of Weather Icon 6 some more yesterday evening to no avail. And now the actual weather icon animation that Weather Icon provides to the stock Weather App icon does not work. Oh well. I have resolved to just use Forecast and be happy about it. I'm starting to feel like I'm looking a gift horse in the mouth since Weather Icon is free.
Thanks for the screenshot! I'll give it a go. Hopefully my phone doesn't explode! Us iOS 6 folks have to be super careful since we can't get iOS 6 back if we have to restore. Or at least I can't. I seem to remember there was an advertised way to save SSH blobs or something that was a bit over my head so I never took the time to learn/do it.
Thanks again for all your help. This is not the first time you have helped me out on this forum. I really appreciate it.
You're welcome and you're welcome. Glad I could help.
In regards to LS, giving apps that access does not mean you are giving them access to photos, contacts, or anything else. That's a different privacy setting. All it means is that you're giving access to use your phone's GPS. Hence, location.
True, a lot can be determined from location data, but that's not the same as giving an app the access you are thinking of.
All I can do is report what seemed to work for me. I just think that there's some other process that's not necessarily visible that by allowing this access allows the updating.
But that's just a guess, I'm no expert.
Well, there's one other alternative. I also have DashboardX. That puts the Weather widget on my homescreen(s). Since Forecast has modified the look of the widget on the lockscreen it's reflected on the homescreen(s).Yeah, I'm aware of the differences in the different types of restrictions. I thought you were suggesting that it might help to disable all restrictions, not just location restrictions. That's why I was saying I don't want to do that because I don't want to allow some 3rd party apps access to photos, etc.
There's definitely some process running on my phone that is causing the problem since as best I can determine everything is the same between both of our setups in regards to the weather in the status bar. Oh well. I've made peace with Forecast, especially since I already paid for it anyway, so I'll just use that and be happy about it.
It could always be worse... I could have upgraded (more like downgraded) to iOS 7... or I could have an Android phone!
