updating from U1 to a black U3 which i got thru target for only $500. apple giving $255 in trade. maybe a bad move as i found out that the new O2 sat workaround apparently doesnt update Vitals. but i never liked the plain titanium color. love the huge display though.

I'm getting the aluminum Series 11 as my first AW; 42mm GPS with a 2024 Pride Braided Solo Loop and a Blue Cloud Sports Loop (that I'm getting off a third party site, since Apple decided to discontinue it this year 😔). Held off on the 10 for months to wait for the 11, and I think the increased battery life and scratch resistance is enough to get me to the newest model over the 10 on sale.

The only decision I'm stuck on is Silver (which is what I was already eyeing on the 10) or Space Gray. I'm probably leaning towards the Silver since I like the lighter band colors and wear a good amount of silver jewelry.

How’d you manage that?

I was thinking about getting the U3 but didn’t know if it would be too big and heavy for my wrist, I currently have the 46mm 10 series ( which has issues with the sound) not sure how comparable that is for the weight

Are there many women who have the Ultra series watches?

I have a cousin who is in her 80s and I put her in the U2 because of the durability. She’s coming from the cheaper aluminum series 5 cellular.

Every single time I see her she mentions how much she loves the watch. She’s got smallish wrists and doesn’t workout. She wears it every day, and uses it as a compromise for life alert.

Unless you are frail. I don’t think you’ll have an issue.

Dumb question maybe...but does the new Series 11 have a bigger display than the Ultra 3? Not talking about the case size, but the actually display size.

My AWU3 is on the move now…

the target thing? about a year ago it was on slickdeals; target.com had them on deep discount for some reason. i remember that some people received them and the boxes were open and the watches were missing. for me at least the watch was new and the box unopened, though kind of dirty.

my wrists are comically small for a 6' man but it still looks OK. i gotta choke up the medium band to the 2nd to last loop though. i don't notice the weight.

the 46mm 10 is almost as big, i think. the ultras are just a lot thicker.

I have 2 ultras, the u1 in natural and the u2 in black. With very small wrists I never thought I’d be able to pull it off. But the band makes a HUGE difference. I have the black Milanese band on the black u2 and it makes the watch feel smaller and not as bulky. It helps that it is the most comfortable band out there. I have seven bands and the Milanese wins every time. I’m upgrading my u1 natural to a u3 natural and getting the Milanese band in natural. I am pumped for this upgrade!

I have the Milanese loop band since I bought my AW4 stainless steel 44mm, which I am retiring and upgrading for the AWU3 black with Milanese loop band in all black again. Always loved that band and never looked to buy any other band.

I'll have to wait a month, but I'll be getting the AWU3. I had the U1 and U2 before I got my S10 (that I sold a week ago) and I miss the Ultra a lot.

Don't ask my about color yet lol

Ordered:

Apple Watch SE 3 (GPS), 44mm Starlight Aluminum Case with Natural Milanese Loop

Upgrading from:

Apple Watch Nike SE (GPS), 44mm Space Gray Aluminum Case with Anthracite/Black Nike Sport Band

Finally upgrading my old Apple Watch SE 1 44mm to the Watch SE 3 44mm
The SE is my first Apple Watch. It certainly has some permanent scars and the battery health is at 74%. Nonetheless, it’s still a trooper, lasting a day on a single charge. I’ve offered the original SE to my brother as a gift, should have a couple more years of life. He had an Apple Watch — I think, a Series 3 — but lost it in the ocean, and decided not to replace it.

No. 11 is 42mm & 46mm, ultra is 49mm
You listed the case size, I'm talking about the actual screen size. But I just looked on Apple's website and it shows as follows:

1220 sq mm display area - Series 11
1245 sq mm display area - Ultra 3

So by that, the Ultra 3 actually has a bigger screen.

I think you should reread your numbers if you came to that conclusion.
