I’m upgrading to the gold titanium S11. The Ultra 2 does everything I could possibly need in a smart watch but it’s way too bulky and despite its larger battery I still end up charging it daily anyway, so I might as well move to the slimmer and lighter 11.

@4sallypat i was not kidding, that was a factor when the Ultra initially launched, lots of people had to wait for band availability.
Bet you if you were to chose the green Ocean band, it'll ship on the 19th still. Give it a try for fun...
I tried it again.

Found Titanium case color was the delay - not the bands.

Black color case was Sep 19th no matter what color trail band I chose.

Figure that out ?

Ultra 3, Natural with matching Milanese Loop.
My first time running with this fancy pants band. 🤠
Picking up Sept. 20 (I ordered within a few minutes of the store refresh).

Certainly not the Ultra. Since generation one, I have regretted my purchase. I don't have the wrists for it. The Ultra is for those with thick wrists or tolerate having a brick on their wrist.

I want to get the series 11 aluminum space grey, but not sure which color milanese band will match it the best.

What is the size difference from the S8 to the S11?

They said it’s the thinnest Apple Watch ever, so I’m curious how different it is, because it doesn’t look it at all without a side-by-side.

Aside from battery, I can’t really think of much else as a reason to upgrade.

❌ waiting until that gold stainless steel Apple Watch Series 6 feels like it’s done…

Mines is still going strong 💪 after owning it for a year and three months now and I only upgrade if my watch feels like it needs to go.

Unless if I win the next BIG grant or something I would get a gold or silver titanium 42mm.

Thinking about switching to an Ultra since the release of the U1, but finally switching now from my aging (battery would need a replacement) AW6 to an U3.

What wasn't mentioned in the key note: The U3 is 2.4mm thinner (12mm vs. 14.4mm) than the U2, even with longer battery life. With 12mm of the U3, not that far away from my current AW6 10.7mm anymore, so from that perspective not such a super big brick in real-life maybe. Thinner and better battery are key things for me for the upgrade.

Other new U3 stuff, not sure. Guess the wide-angle OLED at max. 3000 nits compared to the AW6 can be useful. Quick charging could make a difference in rare cases maybe, although I'm simply used to charge over night.

Undediced regarding natural vs. black.

Currently on an aging Series 5, not sure whether to go for SE3 44mm or S11 42mm, I get a discount as my nephew works for apple so there's around £100 in it. I use it for running/working out 3 times a week and for reading messages at work etc.

If I'm trading in my Ultra 1 for the Ultra 3, is it ok to update my Ultra 1 to the public beta today?

Not sure if that would break any Ts & Cs or anything?

Don't think I will be upgrading from my Series 10 this year. Very happy with it. Series 11 is only a minor update and not interested with the Ultra 3.

I am still rocking my AW6 Titanium with 80% battery life. When we look at past release cycles then we can expect a new design being introduced with the AW13 so I might wait until a more substantial redesign comes... but two years, that's a long time 😅

Are we sure about "thinner"? I don't see it in the specs at Apple's site. Help me understand, please—I ordered a U3, and would love "thinner" to be true.
