Surprised your hand isn’t turning blue holy cow 😂
I wear it all day with no problems. There is a band imprint when I take it off. The sports band left an imprint as well when I wore it snug but the skin part wasn’t as noticeable like it is with the Solo loop, due to the design of the new band. The Solo loop seems to be about the same snugness as the sport band I was wearing (s/m at 4th hole).

I'm not arguing snug. I'm arguing a standard for measurement. Take another look at the photo using the Apple tool above with the skin bulging out of the sides - it's way beyond snug, under significant tension. Snug means no slack.
I’m just trying to give people an idea of how to best ensure a good fitting size. I purposely wrapped it very tight. Again, the Apple employee said that looks exactly right wrapped like that. When I did it on launch day lightly wrapped around the way my watch normally feels. I was right on the line between 3/4. Wrapping it tightly gave me a more accurate number for how the band actually fits. If there is any slack in the measuring tool the band will be way too big.

Not saying it doesn’t work for you, but my hand is tingling just looking at those pics lol
I have never had any tingling. I am a very active person. Sometimes I would adjust my sport band to the third hole but, most of the time I used hole 4.

That is the good thing about the Solo loop. There is a size for every person’s need. If after a month or so I find I want a slightly looser fit at times, I will get a size 5. I have no doubt that a lot of people on here wear their watch loose on their wrist, compared to me.

When running in hot humid weather for several hours and you have lost 5 or more pounds, you often find out that your watch wasn’t as snug as you thought and often times, you can end up missing some important data because of it. I don’t think that will be a problem with the Solo.

How tight are your solo loops for the size you are happy with?

I’m getting imprints on my wrist at the end the day. Is this normal or is it too tight?

I tried one size up in store and it felt bit loose and the watch would move up and down my wrist when I shake it.

Curious to see if you all get imprints too.

My size 7 looks just slightly tighter on my wrist than what's shown in your photo. It does leave imprints and they looks a bit more obvious. I like the fit can not feel the band on my wrist because it's so soft.

I printed out the measuring guide (followed the instructions for printing the correct scale) and measured right at 7. I ordered silicone and braided charcoal bands in size 7. After reading this thread, I canceled my order and ordered size 6 in both. I was near an Apple store today so I made an appointment to try on the bands. I hoped to buy in person because the braided charcoal band is delayed for several weeks. The store measuring tape showed my wrist to be a bit larger than a 7. This might be due to it being hot today and I was walking around for a bit while waiting for my appointment. I tried on both the 6 and 7, and 7 was a more comfortable fit. 6 was uncomfortably tight. The 7 is just a tad tighter than I normally like to wear my Apple watch. After wearing both of them this afternoon, I quickly forgot that they were on my wrist so 7 seems to be the right size for me. I did not try on size 8 as I did not want to take too much time because people were waiting to get in, but I am pretty sure it would have been too large.

The picture you mentioned is how I am wearing my Solo loop right now. It may be a little too tight for many here but, it works for me. I don’t have to worry about it getting loose when I am covered in sweat from running all day, or when my arm gets wet from rain, or the wrist shrinks from temperature and or weight. It will stretch over the coming months and it will still fit properly.
Is this a 40mm band on a 44mm watch? Just wondering if you prefer this combination?

The instructions say to wrap it tightly. I think that is why so many people are getting larger sizes than actually fit. The employee said that was the right way to do it, and he was right.

It's not that simple. I went to an Apple store and the sizing tool put me at size 11. The solo loop was okay at 11, but the braided loop needed to be a 12. I bought the latter, and it's just exactly right; snug without pressure. However, I'm worried about potential stretching over time.

I must say, it's the most comfortable Apple Watch band I've ever had, and I've tried a large number of Apple's bands.

If you are asking about the pictures I posted, my watch is 44mm with a size 4 Solo loop and the second set of pictures was showing a s/m sports band on the same watch.
Thanks for the info, but I was thinking about the width of the band. Looks like your band might fit the smaller 40mm Apple Watch case, and you have the larger one. As I see your solo loop is a couple of millimetres short of filling your case both sides, while your sport band is spot on, so I am just wondering if you have picked that solo loop due to being more comfortable in 40mm version instead of picking the 44mm?

Believe it or not, I didn’t even check the box on that band like I should have, as the other two bands I bought the same date were the right size 44m. Thanks for posting and prompting me to take another look at the box. I will need to return it at the store today.

Oh well done to both of us working together then ☺️☺️
TBH some people wear 40mm bands on 44mm watches as they prefer the narrower strap so I was just trying to get some of your insights if the solo loop feels more comfortable like that. Glad we sorted it 👍👍

Out of curiosity, could you lay out a sport band of yours connected in the hole where you wear it, next to this Solo loop to compare the length and maybe post a pic?

When I go back today, I am also going to confirm solo size again, now that I have all day hands on with the current 4.

sports band is s/m 44mm I wear my crown towards my body.

Thanks. The difference between your Solo loop and Sport band is greater than my Sport band and Braided loop. My Braided loop is just a slight bit shorter than my sport band when laid out like that. Obviously proper sizing for these bands is very subjective based on how loose or snug one want the band to fit.

I believe you are right. I like a snug fit. If I find I like the size 5 better today, I will exchange while i am at the store doing a return. I did note while there on Thursday, that the difference in lengths between the Solo sizes is very small.

I just got back from Apple. I ended up returning the size 4 solos and getting size 5. I also got the new blue braid. I tried the size 5 and it wasn’t snug. Apple said size down on braid because the nylon is going to stretch. I went with a 4 and it doesn’t feel or look as tight as the solo 4.

The side by side is the new solo 5 with the same sports band as before.

Are the braided solo loops looser then the silicone one?. I got a size 7 silicone and at first I felt it was a bit too big, but because of the moisture that builds on the skin it fits perfectly now. On the new apple size chart it's says I can choose between 6 and 7.
I ordered a size 6 braided solo loop, do you guys think that is correct size, I don't want it moving to much ? (wrist size is approx 16.5cm)

I'm 17.1cm, and went with a 6 braided (measured as a 7 using Apple's tools). It was a little snug on day 1, but in the last 2 days wearing it, it has broken in nicely and I don't even notice it anymore.

So I was finally able to try on some of the solo loops today. My wrist measures 144cm, on the tool I printed at home I was right on the line between 3/4, the in store tool had me in the middle of 3. I tried on a size 3 braided loop and it was great! Size 2 was also comfortable, it was snug, probably would prefer the 3. They did not have the solo loop in a 3, they only had a 2 to try on. The 2 was snug, but not too bad, however I have a feeling the 3 may be better. So for me at least, it seems the measuring tool is pretty accurate.

The gap is also not as bad in person, at least not on the smaller watch.
Very helpful. I’m a similar size (in cm) and have been contemplating what size to order. Based on this post I think I will go with the 3.

Looks like I've turned out as a 6 in the silicon and a 7 in braided. I bought a sz 6 in the blue yesterday after a lot of testing / trial / ummmms and errors.. so far, so good. It's tight, but not uncomfortable and I'm anticipating some stretching. (Also, I'm about 185mm and the website originally suggested a 9).

I ordered a size 7 (rubber) based on a very tight fitting paper model from Apple’s website and it does fit, but is not as snug as I’d like it to be and will be ordering a 6 to replace it - I do really love this soft stretchy material.

Lol I'm 180mm and couldn't even tolerate an 8, had to go with 9. I can't imagine how tight a 6 is. Hope it loosens up for you.
