Repeating what someone else posted: it would be useful for the stores to tweet any changes in opening times. That being said, none of the stores I have called (in MA) are opening early. :( Understandably, there have been some Apple employees that have become less than their usual helpful selves.

No - saw it at the store. Faster processor/graphics, thinner, cameras - difinitely iPad 2.

There will be lines again in Sept. for iPad 2.5 (more memory, better cameras)...

;)

Maclife gave it a "great" review after talking about the junk cameras and unimproved screen.
Magic.

There are no rumors because everyone knows, or finds out that Sprint and T-Mobile use different flavors of the tech and thus it is unlikely that Apple would split things up that far.

Verizon used a different technology than ATT and that happened.

Actually Sprint is CDMA. Now that Verizon iphone is here...

And yes there are rumors. Here is a recent one:

Is a Sprint iPhone on the Way?
By Mark Sullivan, PCWorld Jan 12, 2011 11:10 AM

This one turned out to be nothing just like the endless Verizon iphone rumors.

But my point is that every silly Verizon rumor was posted for years on this site. Search for Sprint iphone and you will find rumors from different months. But none of them get posted here. I wonder what interest Macrumors has in Verizon?

I created a sprint iphone rumor page to give this more coverage:

New York City did not get shipments, and will not be opening early. Hundreds that waiting in line today were very disappointed.

Cleveland Legacy Village will be opening at 9a

The Legacy Village Apple store said they'll be opening at 9am tomorrow, but they don't know if they'll have any iPad2s available.

International Plaza in Tampa had said earlier in the day that they'd be opening early, but have now retracted that, also adding that they do not have any iPad 2s in the store.

Maybe if every other nerd wasn't buying two in order to return one, there would be twice as many iPads available. Think about that morons.

Park City Apple Store, Lancaster, PA

"We hope" to get some soon.

They're not opening early tomorrow.

In case you tried to call Pittsburgh: Shadyside store opens at 9:00am - I will pass by at 9:00 and if there is no line, I will go in, if there is a line, oh well, I will get mine early next week in the mail.

Thanks for the info, 0815. :) if I left now, I might just make Pittsburg before they opened tomorrow. :)

For BOSTON area, I called Boylston St. Apple Store and they open at 10 am tomorrow.
South Shore Plaza opens at 9 am, but they told me to call again tomorrow.

Proximity

I thought this today, but then I thought of how I would feel if I was standing in line behind the guy who bought the last two, but planned to sell one on e-Bay. So while you could make some money, it can be a jerky thing to do.

So it's jerky to take the iPad away from the guy behind you in line, but not jerky to take it away from the guy you would have sold it to? The guy behind you in line may be a buying it to sell himself, while the guy you would have sold it to may be an orphan whose only joy in life you have ripped out his hands.

Anyone know if the Chicago North Michigan Ave or Lincoln Park stores are opening early?
