Meh.

Seems like the 42mm SS with Black Sport Band is the one most people are finding delayed. Wonder why that is?

So I've been looking at this since my order completed at 12:20 AM the 10th (including a check just now):

I check my bank site yesterday afternoon and see that I have a pending charge for...the AppleCare on the Watch.

I've been seeing the pending charge on AppleCare plus for my watch since last week Friday and hopefully mine ships soon I got stuck in the May 14-28 delivery date /:

Mine is still processing too....42 SS with Milanese loop. On a good note my extra charging cable is out for delivery today

For those of us with 4/24 - 5/8 shipping dates still stuck in "Processing", let me explain our frustration.

Imagine you were waiting in a physical line (for anything) and you were towards the front. Now imagine person in charge went to the back of the line and started letting those in before you. That is how we feel.

I am willing to understand how this comes across as entitled if you can understand how this could be frustrating to us.

Why would you be frustrated if you were there to see an optometrist and the OBGYN saw a woman that came in behind you?

Not exactly what I mean.

Look at the post image Image

It says June. I can't speak for the Processing still, but the individuals calling for Apple's head are what grinds my gears.

My guess is that a lot of people who pre-ordered the 38 canceled their orders after seeing them in store and so now they are able to fill more pre-orders that originally couldn't have been filled. I ordered a 38 and 42 at the same time and the 38 is shipping but the 42 isn't

Location: New York City
Watch: 42mm Space Gray Sport with black Sport band
Confirmation: April 10, 3:04 a.m.
Delivery: 4/24 - 5/8
Credit card status: not showing a debit
Order status: processing

I'm in the same exact position, except I got my confirmation at 3:03am. We chose the most popular model and live a packed city. It will be a miracle if that thing shows up Friday. :(

Yes, I'll be surprised if either of us gets delivery Friday.

But I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Reading the threads over the last couple of days on this, what mostly strikes me is that this is a huge logistical exercise.

I ordered a black 42mm SS with link bracelet at 1203 and email confirmation at 12.05. Got a June eTA and still processing order. I haven't seen any of the SS black with LB ship yet.

Ordered a 42 sport with green band in the UK on 16th(!) and my credit card has just been charged. Still showing processing on Apple Store app.

... I had a 42 sport green cancelled by Apple on day 1 because I had exceeded allowed orders .... I received an email today stating my order had been reinstated ..... My card has been charged but still shows processing as I type.

I'm UK based.

Cards Decline

I wonder if your card gets declined and you don't fix it if apple will pass you by...

:D

Of course for those that get their card stolen, expired etc that would really suck...

this^^^^^^

How about this... everyone in the physical line wants bread, but the bread truck hasn't shown up yet. The last person in the line wants milk, can't that person get milk before you get your bread? Should someone else suffer because you are? Like I have said, Apple messed up the rollout by not selling the watch and bands totally separate. They could have saved a ton of money on logistics and saved customer frustration. Or maybe they should have just sold all of the watches with the same band, and then you can order whatever other band you want. Angela proved she wasn't up to the task of working at apple and will probably be gone soon.

Are you asking, if you order something and can't pay for it, will Apple not send you the thing you ordered?

No. No they won't.

Apple will contact you for up to 7 days. If it is not resolved, they will cancel the order.

I stand corrected. Yes. Yes they will.

what models are shipping in this time frame? There better not be any space gray sports shipping.

Still waiting for mine to ship in the first time frame 4/24-5/8

But that is not what is happening. People that ordered the same exact model in the same exact geographical location are getting charged and updated BEFORE those that ordered earlier.

And do you honestly think that Angela was in charge of the entire logistical rollout of this product? That it was her decision and hers alone to offer the band/case combos? Give me a break.

2 42mm Sport, Same Time, Diff Acct, Diff States

Anyone else having this issues:

I ordered my 42mm Apple Watch Sport and my father the same exact model at the SAME time ... but on two separate Apple accounts. One is coming to the midwest and one is going to the west coast.

Mine has been "preparing for shipment" since the first day they flipped orders and my dad's still hasn't exited the "processing" stage. Apple chat rep's SWEAR it's because its of the two different states. I'm not convinced nor is this article helping...

My 4-6 week order for a 42mm SS white is now showing Preparing for Dispatch in the UK. Order confirmation 8:12. Sweet.

Yeah, it does seem that geography has a major role in this (and that is from the Apple rep's mouth I chatted with today)...see my other post for my frustration (gump version: mine is already getting ready to ship, dad's is still being processed, same order time, same order, diff accounts, diff shipment locations)...

I don't think it has to do anything with the model but rather their order que system. Unfortunately.

No, it does not. There are people that ordered the same model as me getting theirs shipped already and they ordered after me and live in my area. There was one guy on one of these threads that ordered his 20 minutes before a neighbor 4 houses down. Same model. His name is even first alphabetically, yet the 20 min later guy got his shipped.

Well that's total bull :( considering that a lot of people (including myself) have 4/24 expected delivery dates and still show processing status. Common Apple... what the hell

That's just ridiculous. What is going on? Any other apple launches had this much bogdown and screw ups?

Here we go guys :))

I am hoping it is not a screwup and that there is a logical explanation for the order these are being shipped. It may appear completely random to us, but there has to be some method behind the madness.

Ideally, everyone in the 4/24-5/8 group will get theirs Friday and others that were in later groups as well and this will all be for nothing.
