Apple PR/Marketing people are having to work overtime in post Jobs Apple. A lot of apologetics in the MacRumors forum. Within two minutes of a negative post Apple PR reps are quick to try and quell any criticism.

No amount of apologetics can hide the fact that post Jobs products have largely been a disappointment: Apple Watch, 12" Macbook, soldered memory, downgrade product updates, shell-game pricing schemes, buggy software, etc. Too bad Steve is gone.

Under Jobs, we had terrible bugs in OS X 10.3 - 10.6.6, failed MobileMe, antenna issues with iPhone 4, and iOS 2 bugs. Stop praising him as a God.
I swear people have selected memories these days.

As though these never happened under Steve.

Possibly good news for me...

Well this may all be good news for me. By the time I receive my watch all these things will be fixed and my watch will be very diversified with parts from all over the World...It will be perfect. For now we are still "Processing" since day one.

I don't understand why Apple, namely Ive, decided to go with a physical crown, while we have touch technology almost everywhere nowdays.

The answer to your question is obvious when you realize that Sir Ive rides to work in the back of a bustle-back Bentley.

Happy with my choice.

So, I was up until like 3:10am on the 10th. I pre ordered the larger sport with the black band. I was going to get the Apple Watch, larger of the two, with the black leather band. It was the longest band. I thought my wrist was 9 inches. Turns out it is 8. haha I learned this after trying on a Sport at the Apple Store.

So, I heard somethings about the sport. I decided to cancel my order of the Sport. It would have been here from the 13th to the 27th of May. But, why do I care how fast I get the thing? I ordered the Apple Watch. I decided to save money and not get the leather band. I got the black sport. I am a backer of Click on kickstarter. So, I can add the leather band I got a week or so ago, just for the watch. Also, I am a backer of the bumper, by actionproff. The thing goes over the watch to protect it. So, if the problem is by sweat, I think the bumper will protect it. I am glad I decided to give kickstarter a try. haha

Seriously, have these people never used a watch before? After working out, you should definitely be rinsing your watch if not to get rid of the smell at the very least.

Damn, people are lazy and whiny.

So every little issue someone experiences becomes a front page story and thus turns into a [insert name here] gate? Is MR that hard up for clicks?

When so many on this forum seem to derive such enjoyment from complaining about Apple and its products, what better way to make them happy? Think of it as a service to its members.

Totally devoid of content or substance, of course, but the children do seem to love it so. ;)

I will bite :D

It is a perfectly honest response that most of us do not experience this problem. If in every 1,000,000 watches there is 1 single watch with sticky problem - it has to be in front page of MR so that silly people can make "gate" comments or claim that the product is bad. When I said "silly" I do really mean it. :D

I don't understand why Apple, namely Ive, decided to go with a physical crown, while we have touch technology almost everywhere nowdays. The next design iteration should get rig of any moving interface parts = problem(s) solved.

Probably because the screen is too small and fingers will cover the content. Try pinching to zoom on the 38.

And yet you're still posting on an Apple forum even though apparently nothing Apple does makes you happy.

Steve's not coming back, so I sure hope you find some other products that make you happy.

Did I say 2 minutes? Sorry, actually it's within 6 minutes.

So to sort this out you're meant to do what apple says not to do, which is press a button or move the crown while underwater?

the irony is that apple under jobs was all about simplicity and elegence yet here they tacked on a [useless] crown and it's prone to failure.

Stop apologizing for every fault Apple has made since his death.
He did rescue the company from the brink, and as such he was brilliant. No God, but we took the minor in-between flaws with the monumental successes during his reign.

I'm trying not to waste my time posting nonsense but:

Thanks to all the Guinea pig's for making the second gen a better design. This watch screams unpolished/first gen.

I'm planning to switch from Android to Apple this fall so I hope Apple approves Google Wear for my LG G watch. The watch is simple and reliable. I just want simple, quick and reliable notifications.

There must be a moisture indicator (or two) in the retail watch bodies. If I bring in a watch that shows moisture intrusion, can I claim that it wasn't really my fault, I was simply following the procedure to fix a sticky crown? ;)

they removed those a long time ago. now they check for corrosion as proof of water damage

And this is why I never buy a first generation version of any new Apple product. The public are unwitting beta testers. I'll buy the next version when they update it next year
