I had to order with ATT because of my business account. I was in the queue until about 12:25am. It said, "This page will automatically refresh when it's your turn." At one point it said it was my turn and then refreshed back to the same page with the same message. I wondered if I should refresh the page; I didn't. The next time it said it was my turn, it let me in. When I finally got in to order, I was able to order a silver 256 at 12:35am with 11/3 delivery. I then ordered 2 more (1 at a time through several painful screens) and still got 11/3 on them. It was super-frustrating having to wait that long, but if this shipping date holds, I'll be happy. BTW, I'm posting this for the people looking for answers next launch, like I was for this launch. I was logging in to premiere, and its queue did not show a "wait time" for me.

The Apple App store would not come up for about 11 minutes for me. When it finally did, i was at 2-3 weeks out.

Mine took about 7-8 minutes to come up using the Apple store app. But somehow I got November 3rd.

I got a 256gig silver and 64gig space grey.

Same here, although I was able to reach the website from my PC to order - but because I'd already prepared my iPhone upgrade program order I was told to use the Apple Store app.

I didn't even try. I'll live. I will wait until everyone else shakes out the reduced QA threshold components. The first round of user reports will be interesting.

I am an AT&T customer and used the Apple Store app...finally allowed me to begin the process about 4 minutes after start, and it even said "delivery or pickup by Nov. 3" but when I went to activate, I got the "can't reach the carrier servers" error...which ultimately prompted an alert from Apple that my iPhone X reservation was made, but that they would follow with an email later to complete my order. I just received the follow-up email an hour ago, and now delivery is scheduled between Nov. 17 - Nov. 24. Frustrating for ordering 4 minutes after availability, and frankly, as SOON as the app allowed me...
This is my story exactly.

Although, I also ordered on bestbuy in the middle of the night. Best Buy for some reason was $100 more. So I canceled that and keep my $100 and wait the 2 extra weeks for Apple.

Yeah, put me in that boat. I had my iPhone 7 on LTE using the Apple Store app and my laptop on WiFi hitting Apple.com. I kept refreshing both and only the apple.com site came up on my laptop at 3:07a EDT. 64GB models were Nov 3rd but both 256GB models were already 2-3 weeks. I hope they do "under promise" and I get my iPhone sooner than Nov 17-24!

Just to show a different experience, I had no problems getting my order through on AT&T's website. It went live around 1:54 central time. Luckily I was looking at it because I had planned on using the Apple Store App. It felt too good to be true. The estimated delivery date is 11/3. Let's hope it stays that way.

Oh and worst part... first I got hit with outstanding bill. And I’m on a grandfathered data family plan. I already had paid my share. But $175 remained. So I did *729 called att and paid and then Apple hit me with “let us verify with the carrier” ... like F U guys. Why was Best Buy so easy and Apple so difficult?

Worked fine for me this year as an AT&T customer using the app store app to purchase. I was actually able to get 2 Space Grey 256 GB models for in store pick up on launch day. I was able to access the app about 4 mins after orders started.

I blame the delays that folks experienced getting to the Apple Store (in browser or from app) on Apple servers not being able to handle the load, where they failed "gently" by presenting folks with the store not available message. I don't believe it was because the store was actually closed, it just was effectively closed due to overwhelming traffic. Once you were in, you stayed in while others kept trying. AT&T servers on the other hand, I have no doubt they are severely limited in capacity and once the queues started filling up, oops, there went your place in line!

I got my phone reserved @ 12:07am PT but to connection issues with AT&T so I should be getting a launch day X right? Nope - Got my email today, and just completed the order 2-3 weeks for shipping. Just awful. How is it everytime a phone comes out apple screws this up?

Same thing happened to me with Apple app. Didn’t actually get into the store until about 12:15, then once I did, kept getting error message. Got 2-3 week delivery estimate

Amazon's patent on"one click to buy" has expired, why doesn't Apple use this feature? Someone should count the number of clicks needed to buy an iPhone and shame Tim Cook

I ordered mine at about 4am (eastern) through AT&T... only waited 5 mins in the queue and still got a November 3rd delivery estimate. Anyway... can't wait to get this.

Seems to me they played favorites for IUP members since I have two friends on the program that got in and out in no time.

AT&T just contacted me that there was an issue with my order last night so it has to be cancelled and re-ordered at the new wait time. I have no choice. Either re-order it or get nothing bc they will cancel my order anyway.

I am going through this right now as well.
Order status shows fine. But alert on the main acct page saying to call to avoid cancelling. First rep tells me dont worry its fine.
2 hrs later, I get an email stating my order is pending and to call to avoid being cancelled. Talked to 3 more reps. One tells me to reprocess the order, next tells me there is a known system glitch and to ignore it, another is telling me there are issues with the order and to verify info. This is such a crock!

Jeric : Thanks for confirming these information. Let me double check on that.
Jeric : Thank you so much for patiently waiting.
Jeric : I have successfully confirmed that your order has been processed. We currently have known issue with regards on the order notification. My apologies for the inconvenience made. Please disregard the notification that you received. I assure that your order is already completed.
Pietro : will this transcript be sent to me via email so I have this for my records.
Jeric : Sure thing, I'll go ahead and send you confirmation.
Jeric : May I know your e-mail address?
Jeric : Thank you.
Jeric : Let me make sure that you are worry free. Thank you for cooperation and I'm so happy that I was able to process your request by confirmation of the order and provided the shipment date schedule. As promised, everything has been resolved for you.
Pietro : So I have talked to 5 people now about this. One said dont worry, You said its a glitch, 2 others told me they will need to reprocess the order and another told me they cant help me and to call ecommerce dept
Jeric : For future reference, you'll be able to check the order at www.att.com/orderstatus.
Pietro : how can I be sure which solution is the correct one?
Pietro : I can see the order status. this is why I am confused on all the different responses
Jeric : I'm so sorry for the confusion. I personally apologize. I assure that your order is already completed and we currently have known issue with regards on order notification.
Jeric : Thank you so much for understanding this matter and for not taking this against me.

I wonder if anyone has experience with this... I have Verizon and my phone (iPhone7) is on DPP from last year's promotion. When I ordered the iPhone X on Apple Website this morning (with my reservation from last night) using Paid in Full option, and after it checks with my line with Verizon, it says I am on DPP and need to pay off the remaining balance and there's a $30 upgrade fee, which will be both billed through Verizon. I clicked OK and continued to finish checking out.

Is that true? I thought paying the phone in full is not an upgrade. I don't want to pay off the iPhone7 because I need to continue receiving my promotional credits. Can I just pop in my current sim card and use it without Verizon triggering an upgrade? TIA.
