Not in aluminium?
I consider the Midnight, Starlight, and Green colors (all available for the aluminum model) to be neutral, as they are very subdued. Only the Blue color in aluminum comes off as vibrant.
Not in aluminium?
Wrong. Starlight is clearly more champagne than silver was, and midnight is navy blue instead of the charcoal of space gray.
I hate to say it, but I think silver and space gray were probably axed so people who want a neutral color will move up to the stainless model.
Series 7 midnight compared to SE space gray shows the blue pretty clearly:So dark it's gray. I don't see blue.

1. I can't compare anything because you made them full resolution and they take up more than my desktop can show.Series 7 midnight compared to SE space gray shows the blue pretty clearly:
That's really cool. I would pay extra for a color-changing case. No, there's definitely blue in it. Here's me shining a flashlight onto the back of my Midnight iPhone case:

A flashlight can skew to the blue spectrum, depending on which model.
Reasonable if you're Apple's CEO, CFO, or marketing team certainly. For most other people, removing neutral from a base product for the first time is not reasonable. It seems reasonable that aluminum would get ford focus color options while the premium materials would be the more classic neutral colors.
Honestly, I can't. I see blue in the spotlight but not in the side by side images. All I see is gray.Ha! I just edited that post to show you the Midnight and Black colors side by side. Even with no flashlight, you can clearly see the blue tint to the Midnight.
I see a blue tint to it for sure, at least in pictures. Definitely not the same as space gray, which is what I have. Not sure how midnight can be described as navy blue. Looks the same as space gray to me.
