It's pretty much exactly Navy Blue.

It could be your monitor, but compare to anything else marketed as Navy Blue on any other website, and that's what it is.
I gotta disagree. It looks nothing like navy blue. Even on my iPhone with the brightness turned to 100% it doesn't look navy blue.

Nice. Then you buy them 😃. What is so difficult to understand that people who want silver or gold neither like star light and dark blue is not the same as grey?
I don't want either. I want black or gold. But people are complaining that it's not the exact same shade as last year. And that's sad.

It’s funny that you keep posting that midnight is grey but you also shared this article, which is perhaps the clearest proof that midnight is a shade of dark blue.

I posted it for others to see for themselves and get some explanation. I still see it like gray. Others may not. It may look different in person vs a picture.

I ordered 44mm starlight, but I wish they had silver. All of my other Apple gear is silver (iPhone 11 Pro Max being the exception)

Not sure why they don’t have silver and space gray. Car manufactures always have a silver or gray and a black.

I’ll have to see it in person before I judge, but I can always pick up a gently used Series 6.

I'm one of them. I only want an aluminium, and I only want a neutral colour (silver or grey). My only options are green (nice, but not neutral), red, blue, dark blue, and sickly champagne. At this point I'm considering a used Series 6, but I'll wait to see what the sickly champagne and dark blue look like in person.

Huge miss to not have the traditional silver and gray/space color. No problem if they want to expand the color range, but at least give us the original base colors, as a lot of people have bought many many bands around this color and they would not look right with the new colors.

That link claims to see blue when compared to the space gray. Remove the comparison and the blue isn't something that stands out. Concerns of blue hues are only an issue with direct comparisons.

I've begrudgingly purchased the graphite but what I really want is a deep black like the S0 and S3 I had. It's frustrating to me that they've sunset the space black colour. Even the Hermes Space Black S6/S7 isn't a true rich black like the originals were.

Why? It's an accessory people wear all day. They have had silver for years. Now the new model is not available in silver. It's not a different shade, it's a different colour.
If you want to get granular every unit of the assembly is a different color. But the average person is going to look at it by itself and assign it to one of eight or nine colors.

Also looks like you can no longer order any of the stainless watches with sport bands — slightly pushing up the price, or requiring you to buy the sport loop or solo loop.

Edit: Actually it's even worse since only certain band types go with certain stainless finishes... for example you can't get the normal stainless for $699 but you can for the gold stainless... all because of the band?
