although i know im going to get killed for this, why are people so quick here to come to apples defense to justify a faulty product. Just like dropped calls, people say must be at&t. well my 3G att work phone never drops calls. iPhone at least once a day. yellow display...ah that's ok ill just go to the store to get it swapped because that's going to be convenient. But please people be sure to criticize a competitor for even the slightest problem or disadvantage to a apple product. Glad both my iphone 4's are already sold i dont want to go through what i did with my imac again and its yellow display.

So did Apple decide to use SXRD displays in the new iPhone or something? ;)

On a serious note, this totally sucks.

Nothing like lining up days in advance to get an iphone with a discolored screen...Once again another reason why never to buy a new apple product on day 1

Which is why I own mac products, but a DROID phone.

$200 phone with potential defects in the screen

A phone I won't be buying.

I expect yellow screen problems with their desktop models and laptops not their flagship toy.

Repeat after me three times the Techie Hymnal Book, Psalm #17, page 41:

It is the way it goes for early adopters. Apple will make it right (or close) eventually..... but early adopters are really Beta Level II Testers. Plus Apple isn't the only one that could be accused of the behavior. Hell, the "Big Softie and Windoze Vista"...........need I say more :)

I'll be looking over my phone carefully tomorrow morning, but I know what I am getting into with potential issues.

:Dwhen will the first iPhone in a blender happen???? Or if someone will get theirs and then bash it in front of everyone. Boy that would destroy fanboy! Cant wait till 4am, thats when i go stand in line in tampa, fl (if i wake up):D:apple:

Warranty replacements will come... eventually! But swapping phones is a PITA: you have to re-synch with your computer.

Which is the kind of reason I don’t like to get the first batch of any hardware (from any hardware maker). Luckily, by waiting 24 hours to order I ended up with about a million people ahead of me

Still, even for early adopters, when a serious problem does crop up, most units are still fine. “Mass” problems can mean 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000, and still generate a huge online response. (I know I’d complain!)

The latest rumor is that Apple are releasing an iPhone 5 next year with one of those "all-yellow-displays". They're the best when it comes to disguising very, very, very, very slight discolouration.

Iphone 4 Display Issues

Remember folks, the 3G and 3GS had display issues. I know for I saw a lot of customers coming into the store pissed off. They (company) will just give you a new phone. :)

So far so good on mine. I went into Best Buy and had an Invisible Shield put on it, so I hope I don't get that problem. Or would Apple replace the Invisible Shield too? That little phone sure got a lot of attention in the store though. People were gathering around it as the guy was installing the shield.

if the antenna issue is not software , they better start handing out free bumpers for everyone!

What a crock of ****. I had to deal with this piss yellow issue on the 3GS and it's STILL not much better after exchanging it 10+ times. Apple changed out the screen on a brand new unit out of the box for a screen that was mustard yellow to the point where you could barely read it. They said they could see no problem. BS!

I was hoping with the new "Retina Display" that this problem would have been rectified. I guess not. I will NOT put up with this **** again. Not going to happen. Apple needs to fix this crap now!

If it's an isolated thing, ok. However it does not seem like it. It seems to be another damn good screen/bad screen lottery again.

****ing ********!

Sounds like your eyes are broken. Try returning them.

Surrounding the antenna issue discovered today.... This article is from 6/10/10.... yikes!

Is the iPhone 4 born with antenna problems?
The user's contact metal frame gives reduced efficiency.

"....Antenna effect may be reduced by more than 90 percent if you hold tightly on your mobile phone where the antenna is located."

Pretty sure it's a $600-$700 phone (800-1200 on eBay)
