mine switched back to friday 9/21... but it's in kentucky at 11PM kentucky time and so i guess it has about 22 hours to get to the bay area assuming they deliver until 8pm pacific. seems like it will be a close shave.

I think I heard if it’s not out for delivery by 10 AM then it will be delayed not sure but hoping we all receive our phones Friday.

So mine was showing that it was in Korea as of early this morning Pacific time, now all the references to Korea have gone and it's only showing it being in ZhengZhou three days ago haha. I'm still expecting it to arrive tomorrow but something is clearly not right at UPS!!!!!

So now I've updated - and per UPS my phone not only arrived in Louisville yesterday, it also just departed from ZhengZhou tomorrow :p

Dang, I know it’s just the weekend but I hope it was worth it to stay up until 2am to preorder to get them on the 21st.
Ya I agree. I was up until 3 am.

Same! Mine left anchorage at 2:10 PM and is still set to arrive in Montreal tomorrow. Let's see if it gets delayed!
Ditto. Mine departed Anchorage 9-20 @ 2:10pm. Which i think is 3-4 hours early to EST. My delivery date is 9-21 by end of day. Hope so....

Ordered mine at 12:06am

09/20/2018 9:26 P.M. Your package was released by the customs agency.
Anchorage, AK, United States 09/20/2018 8:52 A.M. Departure Scan

Mine had the same departure scan time.

It is amazing so many people do not understand how UPS, FedEx, or other logistics companies work. Do people not understand how shipments move and are sorted? And the fact so many start blaming UPS, FedEx, and others and say how awful they are - do you realize 99.9999% of the time they are operating as they should and the problem is either with the shipper (and possibly the expectations they gave you), or with your lack of understanding?
Educate yourself before you start throwing all of these ridiculous comments around. It really just shows how little you understand things.

Does ups not let you change delivery to a ups hub anymore? I am trying To change delivery To a hub like I normally do but it doesn’t show on the ups site. I only see ups stores. If I have my phones delivered to a ups store will I still be able to pick it up tomorrow ? Normally I go at 10am and pick them up so I don’t have to wait all day . I just tried calling and they are closed .

It should be there mine is listed under package pickup only and could be listed as customer service center.

i mean, yes, we understand this. it is amazing that they are able to aggregate all this crap onto a bunch of pallets, put them on planes, break them out multiple times, and deliver individual parcels in just 2-3 days from halfway around the world. it's truly a massive feat of logistics that boggles the mind.

the frustration comes because this is 1) not Apple's first rodeo, and 2) not UPS's first rodeo. if it's important that everyone have their grubby little hands on their iphones by end of business on friday the 21st, and apple have set that expectation, then hopefully apple and UPS are adult enough to plan for this 'necessity' and execute the plan properly. if it can't be done, then they shouldn't set that expectation. since it's been done multiple times in the past by all involved, it's not unreasonable that people start asking what happened when and if UPS (or apple) drops the ball.

I checked mine earlier today and it stated it will be here tomorrow (9/21). However now that I just checked the tracking site it states the following instead of delivery for tomorrow -

Scheduled Delivery:

Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later.

Anyone else getting this?

But they haven’t “dropped the ball”. A two hour glitch that would go unnoticed to the majority of people that aren’t constantly refreshing the tracking website is not dropping the ball.

You will be fine. You’ll get your estimated delivery window in the morning.

UPS just updated for me. Watch arrived from Louisville KY to Jackson MS, but hasn't left for my local HUB. But it will shortly. iPhone finally arrived in Louisville, KY from Ankorage, AK.. still waiting on it to depart Louisville into Jackson MS. I am pretty sure both will be available in the AM for Pickup at my local UPS CC. I hope everyone else gets theirs as well.

"Update 2: Some users who saw their iPhone delivery dates change to 9/24 have had the dates re-updated to 9/21 once again."

haha.... technical problems. You'll get it, when you get it. I never relied on tracking 100%.

It appears UPS may be having iPhone XS and XS Max shipping issues in the United States as several MacRumors readers are reporting that their UPS tracking information was recently updated with a Monday delivery date instead of a Friday delivery date.

Affected customers seem to have tracking information that indicates their iPhone orders are located in or have just departed Anchorage, Alaska. Those who have had their shipping dates change seem to have ordered 256GB and 512GB iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max models.

These customers were expecting to get their iPhone deliveries on Friday, September 21, aka launch day before receiving the updated September 24 delivery date from UPS.

It's possible that the delay listed on the UPS tracking site is in error and that the iPhones will still be delivered on Friday, but some customers may be waiting until Monday to receive their new devices. One Twitter user told us that he spoke to a UPS representative who said that it's a computer error and the iPhones are still on track for Friday delivery.

The first customers in Australia, New Zealand, and across Asia who ordered one of the new devices have already started receiving shipments. Deliveries are set to start in a few hours in Europe before expanding to the United States.

Update: Many customers have now been told by UPS that the 9/24 delivery date listed is in error and that iPhones are still on track to be delivered by 9/21, so there is a chance that delayed iPhones will indeed be delivered to customers on launch day.

Update 2: Some users who saw their iPhone delivery dates change to 9/24 have had the dates re-updated to 9/21 once again.

Same thing happened to me. I really really need my phone today as A. I have testing to do and am the only one in my group who is getting one since everyone else upgraded last year (and the office won't get test ones for at least a month) and B. I'll be traveling and have no good way to get my phone for awhile and C. I'm doing the trade in program so I need to ship my old phone out before traveling.

My iPhone XS is currently over Montana, on its way to Portland. I should probably get some sleep in soon, otherwise I'll end up sleeping all day and missing the UPS driver!

Temporarily delayed because of immigration status or improper visa ? JK, hope you guys experience no delays and get it today.

My first email of the day was from Apple telling me that my phone will not be ready at my scheduled pick up time at the store and to wait for another email when it’s available.
