Mine arrived to my destination Charlotte UPS about 15 minutes ago, and has just been loaded on the truck for delivery, Man UPS cut it close on this one.
 
I don't see why UPS fault when only the 256GB and 512GB version was affected by shipment. Somebody is playing games here to get more news I guess.
 
I ordered mine through T-Mobile, was scheduled 26-2oct. When shipped scheduled for Monday and is arriving today! Couldn't be more pleased!






It appears UPS may be having iPhone XS and XS Max shipping issues in the United States as several MacRumors readers are reporting that their UPS tracking information was recently updated with a Monday delivery date instead of a Friday delivery date.

Affected customers seem to have tracking information that indicates their iPhone orders are located in or have just departed Anchorage, Alaska. Those who have had their shipping dates change seem to have ordered 256GB and 512GB iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max models.

These customers were expecting to get their iPhone deliveries on Friday, September 21, aka launch day before receiving the updated September 24 delivery date from UPS.

It's possible that the delay listed on the UPS tracking site is in error and that the iPhones will still be delivered on Friday, but some customers may be waiting until Monday to receive their new devices. One Twitter user told us that he spoke to a UPS representative who said that it's a computer error and the iPhones are still on track for Friday delivery.


The first customers in Australia, New Zealand, and across Asia who ordered one of the new devices have already started receiving shipments. Deliveries are set to start in a few hours in Europe before expanding to the United States.

Update: Many customers have now been told by UPS that the 9/24 delivery date listed is in error and that iPhones are still on track to be delivered by 9/21, so there is a chance that delayed iPhones will indeed be delivered to customers on launch day.

Update 2: Some users who saw their iPhone delivery dates change to 9/24 have had the dates re-updated to 9/21 once again.

With the live location feature on the UPS app, do you think the driver would get pissy if I went to him to get my package instead of waiting for him to get to my place?

My items are still "In Transit" but arrived at the airport in my city this morning. I'm hoping it will be "Out For Delivery" soon!
 
Unfortunately for me, UPS status still shows iPhone XS as not yet picked up by UPS in China. Contacted Apple who said UPS site will be updated to correct status as it was shipped from their warehouse on Sept. 16. Obviously Apple support has no clue. Contacted UPS and they tell me it has not gone through customs yet. Who knows where the phone is......

Every single package I order delivered by whatever method, there is always some sort of odd update issue on the status websites. Im just surprised in this day and age someone waiting for a package in Vancouver watches a package fly from major hubs in alaska and Kentucky first before making their way hours on end back out west again.
 
Woke up this morning to see my delivery changed to Monday, then realized it wasn't changed rather it was ANOTHER delivery. My watch, which I ordered late, originally had an Oct 12-16 delivery. It shipped last night and is what's scheduled for Monday - phew! Phone is on the truck and tracking with Follow my Delivery, which is just cruel!
 
My last UPS status update has my phone leaving Hong Kong at 7:41am EST, and they say it will be delivered to me here in New York by end of day. Color me skeptical. (I don't care if there's a delay, and I generally like UPS, but every time I have an Apple order arriving from them, something goes wrong.)
 
It only gets more interesting. UPS status changed to "UPS could not locate the shipment details for this tracking number". Apple has my money but I have no iPhone....

Major fail by UPS. I know if this is the worst thing in my life, life is pretty good. However it just drives me crazy how companies customer service is horrible these days. If you commit to something then do it.

Oh well here is my latest update from UPS -

Louisville, KY, United States 09/21/2018 7:35 A.M. Saturday delivery has been requested. / Delivery will be rescheduled for Saturday.
09/21/2018 7:30 A.M. A late flight has caused a delay. We will update the delivery date as soon as possible. / Delivery will be rescheduled.

Good thing I scheduled my day to work from home today. Not! :)
 
But they haven’t “dropped the ball”. A two hour glitch that would go unnoticed to the majority of people that aren’t constantly refreshing the tracking website is not dropping the ball.

well i guess this morning's news about in-store deliveries being delayed would indicate that yes, somewhere along the line UPS and Apple have screwed up. perhaps a minor screwup but regardless. i'd file the tracking glitches under "where there's smoke, there's fire."
 
Finally got through to UPS. There was an issue with the plane (flying to the Portland area) and therefore they are not able to deliver today. It will be delivered on Saturday. She also told me there is no signature requirement, since I will not be at home. Oh well I guess its time to get back to real life and no more refreshing the UPS page :).

My iPhone XS is currently over Montana, on its way to Portland. I should probably get some sleep in soon, otherwise I'll end up sleeping all day and missing the UPS driver!

Are you getting your phone today? I just talked to UPS and they stated the plane never left due to mechanical problems. Im getting mine tomorrow.
