I have had my Magic Keyboard for a year and it has aged very well. I take care of my stuff but not obsessively and it has been transported back and forth from my home office to student study center on campus of my med school many many times. It’s a great product!
I haven’t “taken care” of my Magic Keyboard at all. What I find interesting is that it’s got sort of a weathered leather tactility to it now. It looks (but not feels) like a dark gray leather bound book cover, kinda, scratches and all. Best part, because of the random pattern, single finger prints or a little dust certainly doesn’t draw the eye like it would have when it was new :)

Anyone get “shipped’ notices on a white magic keyboard? I didn’t order one with my preorder but thinking about ordering now. I bet they will be available from the physical Apple Store on launch day though
Not on my keyboard.
Silver 1TB WiFi 12.9” ipp shipped. My white keyboard is still “processing.”

Got the shipping notification this morning. 12.9 Space Gray 5G 128 Gig.
May 21st. Hopefully, UPS accidentally delivers mine a day early.
I think there’s a possibility, BUT, the reason why it’s coming via UPS and not FedEx is because FedEx let some product (can’t remember which one) out early one time whereas UPS provides huge staging areas to ensure they’re only shipped on release day. OF course, if a friend of a friend works in that UPS center and they have a friend that’s a YouTuber and they were thinking of quitting anyway… :)

Got the email from Apple at 1:08 in the morning! 12.9 Space Gray WiFi 256gb Shipped! Picked up the black Magic Keyboard at the Apple Store (it was available within hours of ordering at 8:00am on 4/30); it's waiting alongside a new Apple Pencil. I can't wait to unbox all three together. My husband and kids are (good naturedly) laughing at how giddy with excitement I am. 😄

From experience, items shipping from China come UPS. Items shipping from the US come FedEx.

My next guess is white magic keyboard is ready to ship from USA and will ship next week via fedex, due to it having “express delivery” on most orders I’ve seen

That’s because FedEx ONLY does regular shipping, not “release day” shipping. They USED to do standard shipping plus shipping for the big introductions where product is coming from China. They don’t anymore.

I paid $10 to apple for faster shipping
I think there was a mixup early in the process where folks COULD pay for faster shipping. BUT, you’re not getting faster shipping. Anyone that ordered early will all get them on the same day. Try to take it up with Apple after.

Mine has shipped as well! With my last few orders from Apple, it seems they ship Freight with UPS (from China), then once local they switch to FedEx. So the majority of the shipping notices we are getting are the freight shipments. Register at UPS and FedEx to see information sooner than through Apple Store app or email links.

Does anybody know how Best Buy ships new Apple products like this one?

Best Buy says new orders should ship on May 24th but Apple says July 8th - July 21st?

How the heck can Best Buy ship almost two months before Apple for new orders at this point?
I've always wondered about how indirect customer orders (meaning from other entities than Apple) get processed and shipped? Do these sales get shipped to the other companies' distribution centers and then out to the customer? Or are they all just riding on the same pallets from China via FedEX/UPS to the customer?

The reason I ask if that I'm wondering if direct orders to Apple general get fulfilled faster? That said anyone getting any activity via purchase via AT&T?

It’s going to be so exciting to use the M1 chip to run one app at a time!!!!
I really don’t care what tasks are or are not running in the background when a photo or video editor is not only taking up the full screen, but my full attention. And yes, I would like it to run as fast as possible.

March 21st Delivery date for me too. Seems they more getting things rolling along quite well.

I work at bestbuy. Good luck the chances of you getting it on launch day are Slim at best. We either don't get enough stock in (The most popular reason) or we don't ship out on time. Going off how much demand of the iPad there was I suspect customers wont get their iPads until a few weeks after launch.

I snagged an iPad Air on launch day in 2013 at Best Buy. There were only a few people there so maybe no one expects (the Spanish Inquisition!) to find an iPad at Best Buy at launch?

The keyboard was available today at my apple store. just saying. having it delivered ahead of the crowd but still within the return window when my iPad arrives next Friday.
