this is why i NEVER update any apple devices when it gets pushed. Apple's QA team is a joke.
I had no third party software installed after my clean install. As soon as I finished the install, I tried to log into the two services mentioned and could not.I wonder what 3rd party software folks have installed, and if some of those could be causing issues. No it's not an excuse, but is it possible that 3rd party chat software could cause this. I only have 4 non-Apple pieces of software and I am not having any issues on this or any other updates on my iMac.

If you have the time and energy, please try to change your Apple ID pw on the web and log in with the new pw on your computer iCloud to see if that makes a difference.

How are they "a joke"? The very nature of bugs means that they often only exhibit themselves AFTER deployment of software. The best debugging team in the world isn't as thorough a test as having many tens/hundreds of millions of people kicking the tyres. They would be worse if they never FIXED the bugs, but hey - they put a LOT of work into doing so. Do you think they consciously, purposely released this update *knowing* this problem existed?
One of the "selling" points for Apple was "they do both software and the hardware." The elvel of quality assurance testing has fallen with all the major bugs released as of late. We will never know if they knowingly released knowing the problem existed, however, knowing the nature of testing and pushing the product as fast as they can out to the public, I would bet it wasn't thoroughly tested. Working for Apple for many many years I can say, issues were overlooked on purpose and known only to come to light and admitted when pushed for answers publicly or in court. So I would vote yes it was known and overlooked because it wouldnt affect the majority.
Got this issue as well after wiping and reinstalling. The seeds didnt have an issue for me. I also noted that my computer isnt listed in "find my iphone" on icloud.com, but is shown there in my devices.
I opened a ticket with Applecare today about this.

wow. I think not.
Too many tin foil hats expecting perfection and not thinking things through.
1) El Capitan is free (I know some say incl. in cost of buying Macs etc.)
2) They keep working on making it better and better. A bug fix is coming almost immediately. Guaranteed. But, needs to be analyzed.
3) There are millions of Macs out there with different memory set ups, ssd, hd. drivers, printers, scanners, apps, utilities and whatever configurations.
I am not defending Apple, but if you are on you umpteenth version of operating systems you should have LEARNED BY NOW to WAIT!!
Let the pioneers get the arrows in their butts and then when the air is clear, you update.

I'm astounded something as basic as this was not discovered in testing. Do they think everyone will update instead of doing fresh installs? Did they not even bother to test this on a brand new Mac before shipping it out the door with 10.11.4?
