Entering day 5 with no email...
Here's what's got me worried. Let's say there was some huge problem and they had lost my emails at their end. When it comes back online and syncs, would that spontaneously wipe all the saved email off my computer? Maybe it's time for a backup...

On my account, I cannot upgrade to a family membership. I also cannot change my billing information. This is incredibly frustrating. Is anyone working on this over there? I can't seem to get an answer.
After the misleading video pretending it's all push, the embarrassing flaky service, the poorly-designed iCal To Dos and blah-de-blah only half working, - now - the mail's out, and, I notice, the annual UK charge for MobileMe - which was £46 - has risen to £59!! Oh yes, thank you Apple! - why not charge us more suddenly for this fiasco of a service?!
I don't know what's going on at Apple. There's no way I'd want to rely on this MobileMe (or is that MickeyMouse) "service" for the important information in my life!
I've never seen Apple like this before - and that's since 1987. Perhaps it isn't the Apple I once knew any more.

Why would it? MobileMe has it's own contacts, so you'd have to import your work contacts into MobileMe. Apple doesn't say anything about it, because it's pretty obvious.
APPLE's STATUS PAGE MESSAGES:

there's an easy solution to the problem. change services and demand your money back. if you come off as a total jerk in person as you did in your chat, they will give up a full refund just to shut you up and get you out.

I thought it was going to push your existing (non-apple) emails to the iPhone....

It does. You just need to configure mobile.me mail to check your other account under mail>preferences>other. You can use this to check a POP account anyway. I use it to pick up my email from iiNet. Either that or have your other service forward all your email to your mobile.me mailbox. Most can do this.
Anyway, my service has been intermittently down a lot since Friday and at best slow and flaky. It actually seems a lot better this morning. Hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel...
I am surprised that this problem has been so long-lasting. Maybe an outage for 12 hours max, but for days on end, that is ridiculous! Any users who have paid for the service and are still out of their email should receive a free-year's subscription, this outage is just way to long for a company like Apple.
Don't understand why people are having problems. My MM works fine.
To quote Jack speaking to his personal assistant in the "Bucket List":Apple really dropped the ball on this one. I'll never in my right mind spend 100$ for this nonsense. Email should be free. Apple needs to get off their high-horse and allow for push service for free email accounts like the Blackberry did. I hope this service fails miserably.
You should be ashamed of yourself for bullying a poor minimum wage employee with your silly questions.I just had a useless chat with Dani from MobileMe support. I asked her how Apple can expect to remain competitive with hosted exchange providers who have significantly less down time, offer 24/7 phone support, and have technical support representatives who are able to provide a thorough answer to questions that are asked.
You could ALMOST hear the crickets chirping.
Wow, no need to scare people. While there are email issues, no one has reported loss of data stored on the MM (.Mac) server ...
