Monday night I placed my iPhone 12 mini on my Qi charger, the green light on the charger lit up and the iPhone chimed that it was charging. Woke up to a very low battery.

This morning, the same. I double checked the iPhone was sat correctly last night.

A cynic might think this is to encourage me to buy one of those MagSafe chargers. I'm just going to use a lead from now on.

I have 14.2 and a Mophie 3 in 1 and it doesn’t charge my iPhone 12 pro max.

Mine wouldn't either. It would start to charge and then the Mophie light would just flash. I added a couple of rubber bumpers to lift the iPhone higher when sideways and it has worked great the last 3 nights in a row.

Don't mind the dust. Been doing some dry wall patching :D

Hmm, so after finding success using an Apple 10W brick with a 3rd party wireless charger with an iPhone 12 mini, I recently tried the same with an iPhone 12 Pro. Phone was on 23% when I put it on the charger - it recognised the charger and claimed to be charging, but immediately started dropping charge at an alarming rate: 22%... 21%... 20% within a minute. So, back to the drawing board....

Edit: that may have just been a one-off glitch. I’ve since had no issues with the same. I still see a lot of folks mentioning chargers that aren’t working but no mention of the brick they’re powered by. I recommend trying a different brick.

Yet another person that has run into the issue. My iPhone 11 Pro Max has no issues with my Volvo XC60 wireless charger but my wife's 12 Pro Max (iOS 14.3) runs into the problems of not being able to charge. This is the bare iPhone with no case.

If Apple has put in a hardware change to support their chargers and no longer supports other wireless charging schemes, I'll be very disappointed.....

Same with my XC40 wireless charging pad, it seems to be across Volvo's lineup. Folks have said in other forums that Volvo is aware, but it is unclear whether Volvo feels this is their issue, if it's an Apple+Qi issue, or something else.

Very annoying, I really enjoy the wireless charging and would be sad to not have it anymore.

SO GLAD I found this thread.
I JUST got my iPhone 12 Pro yesterday (after almost a month backorder) and yes, I am having the same issue all of you are having. I currently own two different Qi charging pads (one Belkin [from Apple] and one Anker [from Amazon]). Experiencing the same issues on each one. This HAS to be an Apple hardware issue, because my other iPhones in the past charged perfectly with both pads. Currently using the latest software, 14.3.

Having same issue since launch day. iPhone 12 PM, No case
Not charging even with Magsafe in 14.4
Is this a hardware issue?

If it’s not charging with an Apple MagSafe charger, then yes that sounds like a hardware issue.
Just bought my iphone 12 pro max yesterday and noticed also that my nomad base station pro doesn’t charge anymore:( hope they have a solution soon.... i send them an email or i will need a refund or a fix hopefully...

It is a significant tarnish on an otherwise great set of devices that this Qi incompatibility garbage cleared quality control.

still having this issue on multiple Anker wireless chargers

Same here. Iphone 12 pro works with my standing-desk wireless charger but my Anker Powerwave 7.5 it doesn't work with, although the Powerwave does charge my airpods, which leads me to believe it is an Apple problem.

I've been using MagSafe and it always works. I had an issue with my AirPod Pro on my anker pad as well. It was always flashing the LED and not charging. I switched to my mophie pad and it always works. So the anker ones seem to be sensitive with the metal hinge or magnet in the iphone. with qi charging pads metal has always been an issue with interference. I think that's why. idk. just weird how my airpods had issues too. probably software
