He's holding it wrong :)

...Ok? That's not funny for this thread

Also, the iPhone 4 badly needs to have the physical control layout the PSP has (plus more, GIVE DUAL ANALOGS!!!!! and possible 4 triggers instead of 2) if they want to actually make good games in the FPS department, enhance the racing games, etc.

And I am interested in good FPS right now so yes I want them to make the iGame Pad or something :p

One more thing... Popular media makes people believe that debt is bad. It's not always the case.

Debt is always bad. When in debt, you should want to get out. That is the best investment you can make at that moment.

All the other spin is for the benefit of lenders making money off of others debt.

How could Sony even hope for there being no new ipod coming out?

What's really bad for Sony is they owned the portable tape and CD market for the longest time with the Walkman. But totally lost it as technology changed and their MP3 players were lame.

Don't get me wrong, I generally like Sony equipment, but if Apple got into TV's, Apple would probably steal that space too from Sony and others.

As for games... we already have seen demos of what's coming... Sony and the rest should be worried, Apple is getting positioned well with the iPad and iPhone to take on mobile gaming.

Apple will never add dual analog to the iphone or itouch. It's just not part of their design.

the little kid has a lot of charisma. But lets be real about this, the psp has already did its thing and many mac fanboys already have it.
I have:
*psp slim(red GOW edition)
*the 250 gig ps3
*fatty ipod nano(product red 8 gig)
*ipod touch 8 gig 2nd edition
*iphone 4 16 gig
*ipad 16 gig
*17 inch g4 imac(fu***** awesome screen)
*macbook Al 13 inch(before it went into the pro line)

And for my birthday next month I'll be getting the 21.5 inch imac.

Thank you and you're welcome!

Wireless controllers are possible. It would also be easy to make something that connects to the iPhone, especially if Apple were willing to cooperate.

That's reasonable. If a bluetooth controller were made for iphone, I'm sure developers would introduce more "hardcore" games.

I wish you all the luck with purchasing your own home or even a decent car and to extend your business (although I sense that you haven't got one).

I own a home, and instead of making other investments* I realize that the best investment is paying it off in under twenty years (instead of 30). And forget about refinancing! Save a buck now and derail your investment? Forget it!

I enjoy watching the debt decrease and look forward to having a home owned outright. And once the mortgage is paid off I can invest in rental property knowing I have one property owned outright.

I will not call the debt a "good thing" though. If it was a good thing I would keep it around as long as I can.

* Note I do purchase stock in small amounts.

The iPhone 4 beats the PSP in every way. You don't have to carry game disks with you, You have one piece of hardware for playing games AND texting your grandma, the iPhone 4 has better specs all around, and it has a faster web browser. You can also do countless other things on an iPhone that a PSP could only dream of doing. Also, how many kids do you see carrying around an iPhone compared to the number of kids with a PSP?

The iPhone 4 does not beat the PSP in every way, main thing is expandable storage (also when paired with a PSP with custom firmware) there isn't much you cant do, the same can be said about the iPhone but not about its storage.

The bottom line is that you said that "Debt is always bad", whilst you've been indebted for over two decades of your life, just as most of us are.

You don't have to call debt a good thing but you have to accept that without personal debt as an 'institution', you'd be still renting. Debt is a necessity and as I stated it, for many companies, debt is a pretty solid opportunity to finance growth. Anyway, if we carry on like this, we'll have to go into basic undergraduate economics stuff like CAPM... Who wants that?

Carry around that bluetooth controller and all of a sudden you're back in the same boat as carrying around a PSP/DS! So much for "does everything in one device".

Again- it's different markets. iPhone will always have a place for simple casual games that don't require complicated inputs. But for a deeper gaming experience a button-based handheld console will always be the better choice.

The Sony PSP and Nintendo DS and such future gaming exclusive devices are a dead end. The sooner these companies realize it the better - and perhaps they can compete.

They must both realize their competition isn't only the iPhone, but Apple's entire graphics based portable devices. As soon as Apple releases the 7" iPad, then its game over for these guys. The secret is in the software and Apple has it down pat. Buy a game on the iPhone and play on iTV, iPad, iPod Touch and your Mac. You can't do that with anything else. And it won't only be games, it will be books, movies and music.

Apple should make something like this with physical buttons and sticks in PSP size. It would kill PSP (IMO).

I love my iPhone for everything but gaming. Most of the games I want to play on the iPhone are RPGS,Hack n' slash, and Platforming. Every single one of those kind of games on my iPhone have sucked due to the control scheme. Yea, occasionally the iPhone has a niche game that works great with the touchscreen/tilt controls.

It really seems like the biggest problem iOS gaming has is there is no d-pad. If they would put in some sort of official support for a d-pad case it would improve gaming on iOS devices drastically. That is why I find it weird that Apple is focusing on a gaming social network when we already have plenty of those (+Plus, OpenFeint, Crystal, Gameloft, etc...). I wouldn't mind them consolidating the networks so you don't have to sign up for a new network for almost every game but they kind of went after the wrong problem with Game Center.

I already explained it to you. You didn't write what you really meant.

You wrote:
"if you are male and have an iPhone you are likely to be a homosexual".

You meant (as you just implied again above):
"if you are male and homosexual, you are likely to have an iPhone".

They don't mean the same thing at all.

Don't try to tell me what you think I meant to say. I know exactly what I meant to say. Let me explain it to you since you dont actually live here. If I was on the train and picked out 10 random guys who are using their iphones, the majority of them will be gay. Thats because something like 40% of the guys that live here are gay, and they all own iphones. So my statement:

"Where I live, if you are a male and have an iphone, you are likely to be a homosexual"

is correct.

Nope, that was a valid statement for the PSP in 2005. All the latest games are specially designed for handheld use (save anywhere, short missions), heck just use the power switch and put it into sleep mode if you need to stop playing for a moment.
The PSP is also better equipped for those short, bursts of games and not the DS... or rather the PSP is better for it. The PSN store has a few categories of titles (Minis: iPhone style minigames. PS1: Playstation 1 games. PSN: Commercial quality small games. PSP: Full sized, full fat games). I've got loads of small games that fill the gap. DSiware has nothing of value and it's rarely updated, which is a shame considering the size and quality of some regular cart-based DS games. Sony are terrible with the PSN but Nintendo is worse with both their DSi and Wiiware libraries.

Ah, well I haven't touched mine in years, and for the most part I just remember a handheld thinking it was a console... at the same time I thoroughly enjoyed my DS. To be fair there has been a lot of time for sony to improve on the system, and I did have fun with homebrew and PS1 games (with CFW of course so I could rip all my existing games). Oh and props on the avatar and name, Dagless... just watch the Garth Marenghi series again.

Don't get me wrong im a huge apple fan boy BUT the iphone or ipad will never replace the sony psp...come on get real guys...sony is not scared they are just hating alittle on apple

Am I missing something or did you just throw that in there???
