I'll check out the Nomad bands. I've been looking for a leather one but nothing has jumped out at me yet (besides the Hermes Noir Leather :rolleyes:). If you can post a picture or two once you get it that would be helpful.

Edit: I just looked at their site and the band looks great, but it may be too short for my big wrist. The site says 210mm max wrist circumference and I measured mine at 213mm :oops:

Coincidently my package came in today! I'm attaching some photos. I didn't get a chance to put it on yet but my wrists are fairly thin so shouldn't be a problem. maybe they'll make a longer band so that way more people can get it. I definitely like it and blew my expectations. Amazon as it on sale for $130. Wish I got it on Black Friday cause it was $100!

Thanks for posting the photos. How does the Space Black look with the brown straps? I am really tempted to try that combo. Also, is that strap reversible?

Looks nice! When you get it on the watch would you mind measuring the total length and the length to the last hole on the band?

No it's not reversible. Just has darker leather underneath to protect it from wear. Overall it looks very good and matches nicely with the black stainless steel connectors and black clip.

I can't find my other tape measure so I don't feel like this helps much. Its about as long as the longest rubber strap Apple gives you but seems to have more holes.

Wow this just looks gorgeous!! I chose the Space Black SS when I got my Apple watch, because I think it looks way cooler, modern and masculine compared to the SS (which is a beauty, no doubt) and my Link has by far been my favorite since I got it (pretty much only use my black sport when running or golfing etc.)

I have been looking for a cool brown leather for some time though, and I'm currently selecting between the NOMAD and the Instinction - Both look awesome, but the NOMAD is a bit more expensive and more "raw" looking... Decisions, decisions...

Today, I visited my local Apple retail store (Sheffield, UK), to purchase Apple Care+ and when the assistance asked which one I'd purchased, I showed her my SSSB and she explained it was the 1st one she'd seen in real life (not including the display models), she then shouted over a few of her colleagues to have a look and they made a real fuss of it.

When we finally got home, after a mammoth 12 hour shopping session, the postman had been and delivered my White Sports band and considering the fact, that I may be opening myself up to criticism, I think it goes quite well.

The white goes beautifully with it. Sharp, tuxedo-like.
 
It literally took me hours to decide, but I'm now the proud new owner of a 42 MM Space Black.

It took long because it's so hard to find pictures of this thing with different bands. It's a shame. I've had enough of an idea on how it would end up looking though, so I ended up getting it. I'm in the process of ordering some different bands, and I'll be posting pictures, so people can get a better idea of how this looks with other bands.

I finally purchased one Space Black 42 mm yesterday, months after having stood on the fence and wondering if I would ever find an Apple watch useful at all. So far, so good. The glossy finish is lovely and I am liking it very much. I like owning first gen products...

Congratulations to both of us, then. It's a beautiful device. I know some people are "waiting for the apple watch 2", but how can you wait for something when you have no idea when it's coming?

I recievied mine on SB on Christmas Day. I'm glad I went with the SB, as I already have other SS watches I can wear, when I want to fancy. But this watch might kick my watchband lust in to overdrive.

I've heard everything from the polish probably having no effect to the polish wiping the coating off and turning it into a regular SS!

Assuming you meant SBSS, lol, I'd say so. The Space Gray watch has two colors. The screen is black, and the body is gray. On the SBSS, it often looks like all one piece. The screen blends with the body. Colorful bands pop more.

Ah I meant SBSS versus the SG sport screen resolution. Side by side comparison is the screen on the SB richer or is this my imagination do to the price difference?

Can't speak on that one. The internals are the same, but the screens are made of two different materials. Could probably find this out if you saw both models at the store.

Yes that's where I noticed it but it's prolly me assuming this due the price difference.
 
Exchanged my SS for SBSS yesterday and I couldn't be happier. I'm good w/ the black sports band. If I were to switch it out it would most likely be for a red sports band. Can't really get in to the bands like that.
