Not sure if I want to return my Space Grey for Silver now.. It looks great under certain lightings and looks tacky under certain lightings and it came with a scratch underneath the speaker..

Definitely keep it! You bought it from Apple you took ownership of that scratch the second you handed them the money. Returning it will raise future generation pricing.

Kidding of course :)

I love my Space Gray under any lighting, but I would return it if it came with a scratch. Take it back and get one you are happy with.

Looked at both colors side by side in-store and definitely prefer space gray. I think there's a reason this is the "default" color when ordering from Apple's website, it's more popular. If you care about resale value I believe space gray would be the color more in demand.

Agreed. I opened my 15" space gray MBP today and it's a beautiful machine.

I had the 15' 2016 in silver and had to exchange it. Now I'm sitting in front of a space-gray MacBook and it is just so much better looking. I'd go for space-gray all the time.

PowerBooks and MacBook Pros have been silver for a long time. Jobs brought back the color with the PowerBook titanium after all. It's still a classic for the Pro lines.

I'm saying it ain't a classic "Apple" colour. Don't know why you have to mention Jobs and the PowerBook as only the G4 was "titanium", all other Powerbooks were dull grey. But yeah like I said it "was" a classic for the "Pro" line.

I still think Silver looks the best, but if I was buying one today (which I'm not for numerous other reasons) I'd probably get the Space Gray since it is something different.

I've ordered a Space Gray MacBook Pro (still waiting), because I prefer a darker color. Its a bit meh that not all Apple devices has the same Space Gray shading type, few of them are lighter or darker. Pure Aluminium color probably fits cross device better all together, but there aren't iPhone 7 aluminium with black bezels, white bezel distracts me too much.

So I wish,
We could also have aluminium iOS devices with black display bezels.
Or that all Space Gray devices had the same Space Gray shading type.
Btw. That the iPad had the same round edges shape as the iPhone.

At the moment its impossible to buy Apple devices and have an equal look and feel.
My current iMac 27" is aluminium with black bezel.
iPhone 7+ is matte black.
iPad Pro 12.9 is light space gray
Apple Watch is a darker space gray

They all look different!

there are plenty here in Seattle.. got one at U Village they had plenty on hand..

Hmmm... I live in Seattle. I don't see that configuration available when I'm on Apple's site, after I configure the machine full spec. Is this something that they 'stock' yet is not seen online when placing an order and choosing to pick up at a local store? I should have asked this question at the UV Apple Store the last time I was in there!

Im glad I chose the Space Grey option. It seems to be much more easy to focus and has some sort of a mysterious attraction. The speaker grills and the dark apple logo seems to add some mysterious element to it. So glad with this choice. The Silver to me looks bland as hell especially without the glowing apple logo it feels like its missing something.

I like the space gray option, I think that looks better then the silver. I do wish Apple provided more color choice, maybe in the next revision

Well when I would look on the site too ever showed they had any until I went in a few times and a miracle they did! lol...
this was last week.

By the way, does anyone know why Apple rolled out Space Gray as an MBP option at the same time it ditched Space Gray as an iPhone option? Seems kind of odd.

(I have a new space gray MBP and "matched" it with a black iPhone 7.)
