I would like to know when the event's over. That's the one spoiler I welcome. Just so we know when the real wait has started.

It's always best to assume the video's going to be released hours and hours from now instead of hoping it'll be any minute and being disappointed over and over again.

Definitely.

That's why I saved a nice selection of podcasts to help me pass the time. Cool interviews with Andy Ihnatko, Adam Lisagor, John Siracusa and Marco Arment over at "The Pipeline" with Dan Benjamin. Great fun! :)

Not me. Length of the event is a defo spoiler as far as I'm concerned.

Don't like it with movies neither. With books it's all but impossible to avoid - except e-books: one of their very few advantages over paper ones.

I am very much in the 'Big Bang Theory' school of spoilers.

Yeah. If it was just a live stream, I wouldn't want to know how long it's going to last either. But I could never just put it out of my mind and check every half hour or so. I've been squinting my eyes and checking the macrumors main page to see if it's over yet..don't worry! I won't say.

Truthfully, I don't think event length was really a secret in previous spoiler-free threads. But if you wanna bump it up a notch, you're free to do so. It's just as much your thread as anybody's.

Here we go again...

Hello all!

Nice to see many of the regulars here.

Once again, many thanks to Voidness!

Same here! I've even paid for the turnpike road only to arrive home 10 minutes before and lose less minutes of keynote, and BOOM, no live stream... Steve Jobs: ¡you owe me 1'! :p

Anyway, I have to admit I was missing this. After all these years of hiding waiting for a stream... I don't know, having an official live stream seems too easy :D it isn't commendable, you know? you have to earn the right to watch the stream with your efforts disconnecting from the world :)

Having said that, is nice having your company but, give me a live stream and I'm outa here! :D :D :D (but it would be too easy and unworthy )

See you

Yeah I totally agree, the anticipation made the event even more exciting when you finally get to watch it, last time my sister and I watched the entire series of Party Down streaming on Netflox (Netflix on Xbox) while we waited (highly recommended, also check out Damages s1-2 streaming if you like fairly intense dramas). Watching them live is definitely too easy. However today like an idiot I messed up the time and in searching for this thread saw a spoiler :(, but now that I'm here no emails or texts are being read and I'm going to go watch Tosh.0 from last night followed by composing work emails in full screen so as not to see any incoming and then if it's still not up watch some more Stanford iTunes U iOS programming videos.

Void, thanks again as always, I should have checked this before bed as you did and had faith you guys would come through!

Greetings fellow Apple fans. Last time I stayed up all night, fell asleep, woke up and the stream still wasn't up.

I'm alittle weary about it this time...

I'm disappointed that this thread was never made an official "Page 2" item or anything. I've unfortunately seen the front page of MacRumors, along with a headline and an image, but I'm going to try forgetting what I've seen while working on my chem assignment.

I'll keep tabs on this thread, Void's keynote checker:
http://insightview.com/keynotechecker/

The official page of Apple Events:
http://www.apple.com/apple-events/

And refreshing the iTunes podcast for Apple events.

Thanks for the reorganization. Can you please post a link to the iTunes podcast page? I usually just use the QT one but want to add that option and don't want to see anything mentioned in the iTunes store by accident :)

Open iTunes, select

Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast...

from the menu and paste in this:

Code:
http://www.apple.com/podcasts/apple_keynotes/apple_keynotes.xml

That should work, although I'm not really sure as the only way I've ever subscribed to podcasts before is via the iTunes Store.

Edit:

@Void: Does your website just check the above feed for updates?

Yes, Damages is in my neverending list of series to watch, in fact season 2 will start to air in my local TV station, free. But I still haven't seen any episode. Right now the show I'm loving the most is Fringe.

Anyway, tonight I'm lucky with the wait. In half an hour starts a good soccer match (Valencia vs FC Barcelona) that will keep me entertained a couple hours. I'm afraid that 2 and a half hours from now the stream won't be up yet, but still, if necessary, after the match I can watch one or two hours more of highlights, interviews and sports debates :D

So, yes, it's a good night for me to disconnect from internet.

See you later.

Me too.

It's like when I'm avoiding football scores (soccer), I can tell just by someones facial expression if I know them well and who they support.

'Oh you don't want to know the score? <smirk>'

If they are a Man Utd fan I know my team, Liverpool, have lost. From a slight smirk.

The length of the keynote is huge info for the paranoid obsessed such as us.

It's 30 mins long say - small event, minor bump for ipad. It's 1.5 hrs? Huge deal. Etc.

Yeah Fringe is fun, but Damages is incredibly linear so you def have to start form the beginning!

Artovwarfare, thanks for the link, got it queued up!

Back to Tosh ...

Same here, I've got void's script running in a window, this thread and nothing else. Watching Arsenal spank Orient in the FA Cup replay but i'll switch to la liga in a while. If Barca was playing on the moon and I was blind I'd find a way to watch them.

Van Gogh? Da Vinci? No. Barca playing football is pure art.

Well here we go again and once again thanks to, even though absent, Voidness for providing us with his great keynote-checker.
Its been roughly 3.5h since the event started and its 10.30pm here put i'm not going to attend school tomorrow anyway so i might as well stay up all night waiting for the keynote, i hope it won't take much longer.

When they took Real to pieces earlier this season? Outrageous stuff.

Glad to hear you're a Red

Mate, that was incredible. Real completely lost it too. Show's their real character and that of their manager. Great to see Maureen under pressure.

That game and the Liverpool 5-0 Forrest (when Forest were 2nd in the league at the time lets not forget) are the two most complete footballing demolitions I've ever seen.

Higher scoring games. It was the complete dominance.

Anyway, way off topic but the thread is quiet! :)

P.S - We've seen God, as you say, but now we are witnessing The Return of The King and all is well in his realm.

The King returned long ago, he and his elvish wife passed away long ago too, so time it is for the fall of the galactic empire and the rise of the new republic to wait.
