Blahh, I saw that post but managed not to read most of it.

Is there anything we can do if we see a spoiler in the thread? I don't know how to report it, to save anyone else from seeing it.

Edit: Nevermind, I see the report post button now, I wasn't logged in.

Yes, report it, but do not respond to it (at least not with a quote). That way we can swoop in and delete it as fast as possible (and we do keep a special eye on this thread to avoid spoilers), without having to worry about responses...

Hey Guys, just got home.... still spoiler free! I look forward to these Keynotes all year round (when's the next one!?), and so I'm really excited right now.

I would also like to add to the list of tips:

Be wary of clicking any links except for those posted by Voidness and other Macrumor's demi-gods/admins/arn.

Also, I don't recommend telling people your trying to stay spoiler free, because your friends will think it's funny to ruin it for you (especially apple haters).

Be careful of going in the iTunes store. Many a good man (and woman) have been spoiled by stuff shown as ads or new promotions in the store.

Try and come up with something productive to do. These keynotes don't often get posted until 6 or 7 PM EST or later! Maybe work on that project you have been putting off for months!

Finally, don't forget to brag about being spoiler free in your MR signature.

So we know that products are usually announced 43 mins in? New stuff must be announced by now.. the suspense

sorry if asked before but how long will it be until the keynote is up on apple.com
with HD video. is it usually 1-2 hours after or more like 6 hours

Also spoiler free :)

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to chime in and say that I'm right there with you all. Its a struggle to stay spoiler free, but definitely worth it! Hang in there!

I have a quick favor to ask of those that are IN THE KNOW but still peruse this thread:

IF there is an iPhone 4 announced today, and IF it is available for purchase today, I would like to go buy it. So, IF it is announced and IF I can purchase it, can you please PM me with a simple "Yes". Else, could you PM me with a "No" so that I know not to worry about it.

Thanks!

EDIT: Thanks to users Pillar and Voidness for PMing me with the answer!

In preparation of going Spoiler Free, I set my homepage to "first unread post" of this thread, meaning I don't have to scroll down to read the latest post, it always pops up to the last unread post on this thread.

To do this:
Be logged into MacRumors forums and have this thread open.
Near the top right click on "Thread Tools" and click "Subscribe to this thread." (If you are already subscribed, it will say "Unsubscribe"... if it says this, don't click it.) Now go through the motions to subscribe to the thread.
In the top left of any MacRumors Forum page click on "User CP". You will see ""Spoiler-Free" WWDC 2010 Thread" listed there. Now you want to wait until there is a new post on the thread. You can tell if there is a new post because ""Spoiler-Free" WWDC 2010 Thread" will become bold and a blue down arrow will appear next to the thread.
Once you see the blue arrow, right click on it and choose "Copy Link". Now paste this link as your home page, and/or create a bookmark with this link.

Done! Now you are always on top of this thread! One word of warning: If you are subscribed to other posts you may see that they have been updated, possibly creating very minor spoilers, so be cautious!

Someone could make extensions for firefox: Porn filter, Ad filter, and Spoiler Filter :D

I wish I knew enough coding to make something like that. (I only know HTML+CSS, but currently trying to learn PHP + MySQL with a Lynda.com class,.) One day I'd love to make an iPhone web app or something...

But, it would probably need to be a full Mac application, so that it could create a temporary state that changes all your computer settings, and then push a notification when the keynote feed is ready.

GEEK!

And NO, I don't mean that as a derogatory term! =: >

I am using Firefox (Minefield) right now for the first time since maybe a year and I have to say it really gotten fast. Still no OSX integration though...

Thought that this is a good way to avoid "Top Sites" on Safari Webkit but maybe when their nightlys stay stable I will switch back to them on a regular basis.
