No, they are going to go after Apple for not respecting the DMA. And rightfully so, because smaller devs often lacks resources to do that.

When you don't have any good argument, place 😆 as a reaction please
The whole point of DMA was to make it easy for everyone, not just billion-dollar companies, to file complaints. Most developers may be perfectly happy with what Apple has created and are not looking for more complexity on the sales side. So, only companies trying to max out their profits are crying.

And the reverse is true as well.. If the iPhone never existed I am pretty sure Spotify would not be around today (or be worth way less $$$$$ than they currently are)
That's just nonsense.
Spotify is present on every platform, you can install their app even on TV's. On Android alone Spotify has over 1billion downloads. Spotify is one of the most popular apps ever made.

I web based only on phone apps. Now, they are everywhere, but you can't prove or disprove that would be the case without the iPhone.

If there was such a demand for high quality music I’m sure they would have introduced it.
It’s probably more to do with there is not enough demand for it from there customers.
It only about money, it cost a lot more to stream higher bit rates and store them. Spotify cares about one thing and it isn't their customers.

Yes it would be the case without the iphones, iphones aren't even the most popular smartphones anyway.
If iphones didn't exist Spotify would have been popular anyway because they are popular on every platform they exist on. I remember that they even made apps for dumb smart phones when they were still somehow popular.

The whole point of the DMA is to protect the market, not create a fast lane to complaints.
And since they even answered my concerns within 24 hours (which is more than Apple seems to be able to do and being paid to do) I doubt that small devs don‘t get a channel to the DMA. They even told me that they didn‘t agree with any of Apple‘s first implementations, things that the Apple defenders here already claimed as Apple‘s approach because of the „meetings“ Timmy had with Margarete.
I did receive a thorough response from the DMA team, as a mere EU citizen with zero influence anywhere.

Probably gonna upset some folks here that my feedback may have been used for the faster catch-ups they had with Apple because they see that even consumers are upset by this uncompliance.
I listed them the topics of web apps, real sideloading and Apple having the last say in who gets to keep their developer account and who doesn‘t, as it was with Epic. All of these topics have been addressed.

Got some proof that the $99 that everyone pays doesn‘t cover service costs?
Go learn about how much it costs to buy storage and bandwidth at cloud providers like AWS. Then scale that to Apples needs.

Again why do APPLE say all the tools are provided for that $99 fee.

Does it say it covers the cost on all the services you get with $99. I pretty sure you get access to the tools for $99...

I know that. And I know that with Apple‘s capacities, they have sweet contracts.
There is no one who can legitimately claim that the $99 don‘t already set even the service costs. Apple is a business spearheaded by a bean counter. Of course they break even with that fee already.

So why does Apple say all tools are provided for with that $99 fee then
A bit strange your in disagreement with what Apple say
Because anyone with a half a brain knows that what Apple give you for $99 is an incredible deal. Companies use to charge thousands of dollars for half of what Apple gives you access to, but they subsidize this by charging a commission on paid apps.
